A list of puns related to "Emergency population warning"
It might seem like an easy question, but there's some things that make it confusing to me
What I do know: Tornado emergencies are issued when a potentially significant and deadly tornado is hitting a majorly populated area. Like I'm pretty sure, as an example, if a significant tornado was hitting/about to hit NYC suburbs (as an example, Rockland County and Westchester County) they would obviously issue one because a lot of people live there.
What I don't know: What is considered majorly populated? Does it really depend on the state it's issued in? Like Rockland County by itself has 325,000 people and is the smallest county in New York, so a lot of people would be in danger...
But what about if we go a little north to Sullivan County, and have the same situation there. But we include the counties biggest town (Mamakating, which has 12,000 people) and a few other towns. Would they still issue the tornado emergency because there's probably around 20,000 to 30,000 people in the warning? It definitely isn't as many people as the situation before, but again it's 20,000 to 30,000 people with their own lives.
(Sorry if the answer is easy to find on google, I'm really not good at looking for answers that are weather related)
(Also, if you're wondering why I used New York as an example, it's because it's easier for my brain to work with since the population spreads out in a northern direction from NYC instead of spreading out in all directions like other cities. God fucking forbid this situation actually happens)
Had an interesting experience yesterday that I'd like to share. I took a buddy of mine for a ride in my car and before I even thought to mention anything, he'd pulled the emergency release on his door. To my surprise, the car didn't scream at me, and there was no warning on the display (that I saw, still getting used to the new interface). I know that for some time now the software has been able to crack the window appropriately when the emergency release is used.
Has anyone else had experience with the car not complaining since the major UI update? Curious if what I experienced indicates a bug or perhaps a subtle indication from Tesla that this is no longer really an issue if the car has power, aside from wear on the mechanical parts of the release mechanism (for whatever that is worth).
Hi there so problem not yet solved, but working on it and this is worth sharing.
I recently had to go to the hospital for something (turned out fine) and when I got there the receptionist asked if Nmom was still my emergency contact? (!?!)
Now here's the thing. I am in my late 20s and have been completely no contact AT ALL for years. I only had 1 ER trip (different hospital/city), and 1 following doctor visit as a very young child but other than that I never saw a single doctor or set foot in a hospital (Nmom didn't believe in doctors or vaccines so never got taken to one...) growing up.
When I reached adult hood, I went to doctors when needed/got fully vaccinated/ been to the er once or twice and such, it was AFTER I went no contact and I sure as hell did NOT put Nmom as my emergency contact at any point with any doctor or hospital.
It really caught me off gaurd and freaked me out. I have no idea how she got listed as my emergency contact at all let alone a hospital I've never been to. Not to mention she doesn't believe in medical intervention and I KNOW wouldn't give permission to resuscitate. This could have very realistically cost me my life if I hadn't caught it by chance.
I have not figured where they got her info or how to get in there and purge her completely, but just wanted to give everyone a heads up and warn you to be VERY thorough when removing Nparents as emergency contact. I dread thinking about what if it had been a situation where I couldn't speak for myself. All those years of no contact and work to make myself invisible and heal destroyed.
I will update with a follow up when I get to the bottom of this and change it.
I'd like to add the Adaptive Cruise Control but it seems that I'd have to sacrifice other safety features. Help me make sense of this please...

Tenterfield emergency warning sirens on Douglas street bridge - Australia.
THIS SIREN CAN BE ALLOWED FOR THIS PICTURE TO BE COPIED OR SCREENSHOT FOR THE AUSTRALIA SIREN MAP.
Siren type is unknown, this siren is used to warn for Dam failures, floods and etc (except storms, tsunamis and earthquakes, so this is one of the tenterfield's emergency warning sirens.
Since the installation of the siren system, there are originally old air raid sirens where these tenterfield emergency warning sirens are mounted (some of the stands are renewed). So, now the old air raid sirens idk maybe scrapped or something. Anyways, I allow permission to be used for this picture in Australia siren map.
