I would like to share some thoughts after yesterday's game.

I am aware that with Kroos and Modric in the mieldfield we cannot expect to perform high pressure vs teams that can move the ball effectively, because would be suicidal, age takes a toll, and they would be exhausted after 30 minutes. Therefore I understand the rationale behind low-block defence and then use it in our advantage in the counterattack with Vini and Benzema.

This will probably be enough to win La Liga title.

However, thinking about our future in the Champions League, I do not think we can afford this kind of defence vs teams that not only have good ball movement and are extremely talented in the attack but are also good in the defensive transition.

Can we survive giving up so much terrain and ball possession vs City or Bayern, teams with enough talent in the attack to punish you even it we are well settled defensively?

Hey, I was on the waitlist to an intro language course and now I’m enrolled, but it says I need to take the placement test. This language is my mother tongue and I went to a school who used it as the primary language of instruction until grade 8… would purposely bombing be an offense on the academic integrity front? I wanna boost my GPA because I’m in a notoriously difficult program, but not at the expense of my academic integrity, ya know?

This subreddit has always been a valuable resource for me, so I wanted to throw my own experience out there to "pay it forward." I found out yesterday that I passed the FSI's language test to increase my OA score by .17 points - that test was a doozy! Here's my background in case it helps anyone with studying:

Test was in a Category I Language (https://www.state.gov/foreign-language-training/), which I had formally learned and used while in the Peace Corps for two years. I returned to the US as covid was just breaking out, so it had been a couple of years since I regularly spoke in the language.

Because of this, I started studying with a language instructor from my Peace Corps country; we started lessons about four months ago and met for two hours a week. If you're looking for an online tutor resource, I used preply.com, but it's just the "zoom"-style tutoring system that my instructor uses and I doubt it's any different from the other platforms out there.

I also read the news daily and listened to half-hour news briefs in the language. I'd recommend reading the news aloud, as it seemed to help develop my capacity to speak about "big picture" subjects. The test was challenging and for me, my taking these steps to study was important - I'm no language master!

I was in a STEM major when I was admitted to OSU, so I never took my foreign language placement test. I have 3 years of high school Spanish, but I am a fifth year right now, so its all pretty dusty. I am graduating in 3 semesters, including this one, and I am in Spanish 1101 right now, so I'll be able to finish Spanish 1103 in my final semester.

My teacher found out that I never took the placement test, so she is basically making me take it. I really would rather just play it slow, and take all three semesters of Spanish, instead of taking a path that is going to challenge me more. Would there be any possible repercussions to intentionally bombing the placement test, or is there a more legitimate path I can take to doing this the way I want to?

I am a native English speaker but received a C1 in English on a language test.

My paladin is going to try to insta kill Strahd, so he's probably going to die. He's asking if he can come back as a wereraven. I like the idea, I just need to balance characters. Players are level 6, so would his first 3 levels be wereraven?

Also, I'm confused about stat blocks. All my books say they're have damage immunity, but I was a assured they changed it to regeneration. Does anyone have the start block with regen?

I’m working on Italian citizenship requirements for my spouse (I am an Italian citizen through ancestry). She does not speak Italian and would be starting from the beginning. My Italian language skills are very rough and I would like to develop proficiency as well. I’ve been reviewing posts here and am having trouble finding exactly what I’m looking for. We both do well with structure and we’re looking for an online program (ideally designed around the official language test requirements) that we can learn through and ideally take practice tests as well to gauge our progress. I see a lot of recommendations to watch Italian YouTube which we plan to do as well but a structured curriculum would give us the kind of learning path we’re hoping for. Any recommendations?
