I love some of Dog Fashion Disco's stuff although it's hard to describe, if you've listened to them you know what I mean. I have been listening to their albums Adultery and Committed to a Brighter Future a lot recently, and I particularly love the film noire vibe: slow drawn out sax, dark themes, but with powerful metal moments (think Adultery and 100 suicides). They also often have something of a circus Jazz/Ska music vibe to them too (think Magical Band of Fools and Pogo the Clown).
I have struggled to find anything quite like this, especially not album length so if anyone out there can point me in a direction I'd be super pleased!
Lookin for Rock/Metal music with that Smooth Jazz feel, or some Funk, Swing, Noir, Lounge, Cabaret, even some Psychedelic elements, such as anything Mike Patton touches, Tub Ring, Primus, some Diablo Swing Orchestra.
Are any of you fans of this band? I think if DFD and HORSE did a tour together it would blow minds.
