A list of puns related to "Diving air compressor"
Hi guys I recently purchased a steel ketch and need to do some work on her before starting to cruise. Since the boat is made out of steel I want to have a compressor and a needle gun for chipping the rust. I was wondering if any of you have experience with compressors on boats that can be used to fill dive tanks as well as for general maintenance like chipping rust, sanding and sandblasting?
If so what could you recommend? And in your opinion is it worth spending extra? I saw a smitty built one that I could stretch my budget to. Arb is a bit expensive for me but if itβs false economy to get anything else then Iβd wait and get one.
Title ^^ so, I know little to nothing about sandblasting. I like to restore things. Toolboxes, vises, old Tonkas, etc. and up until now to remove old paint and rust I've been using a few different methods. Paint strippers which are messy and I hate the harsh chemicals, wire brush on a drill or bench grinder which is hard to get in tight places and takes forever, and evaporust, which works for rust but not paint. I think I'd like to invest in a small sandblasting setup. I know I need a decent air compressor but don't really know what I'm looking for, I don't want to spend a fortune but I don't want cheap junk either, I'm willing to pay what I have to for what I need. As far as the sandblasting itself I'd like to keep it simple, like a bucket blaster or maybe a cabinet from harbor freight. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Anyone know of a gas station or carwash with air compressors that take cards? I need air in my tires but am quarter-less.
Looking for an economical air compression that I can take on the car with me. I wouldn't want it to be able to fill up the tyres but also do other things like blast anything out of the spark plug holes, dry crevices my drying towel can't reach, clean of loose brake dust when changing breaks etc. Battery or 12v idm, any recommendations? Does such a product even exist? I couldn't find one on Amazon, only one or the other
I've been wanting to get an air compressor for the past couple of months now that I've purchased a house and am no longer apartment living. I grew up with a super loud craftsman air compressor, and I don't want a compressor that is going to make my ear drums bleed non-stop when I use it.
I have found 3 compressors that are in my budget that fit this bill, but I really don't get how they can be much different. All 3 seem to have the exact same motor, but their ratings for CFM and PSI are all different. I don't know the science behind it. They are:
Menards Masterforce Ultra Quiet 20 Gallon
Harbor Freight Fortress Ultra Quiet 26 Gallon
Lowes Kobalt Quiet Tech 26 Gallon
I almost want to get the Harbor Freight one since it is nearest to me, and saving money on the Lowes version will be spent in gas money there and back. Are these really that different? Does anyone have a preference on brand? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
I got this air compressor from a family member who was moving and wouldnβt have room for it. When It landed in my shop it hadnβt been run in a couple years; so I topped off the oil, secured the beast, donned some ear protection, and fired it up.
It seems to run fine except that it is leaking from the gasket where the manifold threads into the tank. (Please excuse any errors in naming of parts - Iβve done some googling for help in this and am going off what Iβve found so far. This diagram seems identical to what I have.)
I can feel air leaking from the threads at the base of part 11 on the diagram I linked to above. It looks like the seal/gasket has broken down and is failing.
So my question is: What is the appropriate stuff to rebuild this seal? I havenβt been able to find a specific replacement part - which makes me think itβs some kind of liquid gasket. But honestly this thing kind of terrifies me and I donβt want to use the wrong thing and end up launching parts all over my shop when it hits 100 psi.
Any tips on what to use and the process in which to do so would be much appreciated. Iβd love to have this thing running reliably.

Looking at getting A battery powered air compressor. I already have 20 V and 60 V DeWalt tools along with the batteries, but thereβs about a $100-120 Price difference. I love the 60 V trimmer and edger but is the extra money worth it for a compressor?
As the title states, I am looking into airbrushing finally and want to hear about some recommended air compressors. Definitely looking into something for the long term and don't want to have to buy another compressor if I outgrow the beginner types.
hey yβall! i want to start making tshirts for side hustle money, hoping to make it into a full time business. im looking at california air compressors and iβm not sure what gallon size to get. iβm shooting to spend like 5-6 hours a week making shirts to start off at. i live in my boyfriendβs parents house, so i donβt want the compressor going off all the time to disrupt them.
thanks for your help!
Hit a curb the other night, tire is flat. My Dad told me the tire might be fine just needs air? If anyone has an air compressor in CO Springs North (Bella View Apartments) I would be forever great full.
I would really appreciate any help, I ordered an air compressor on Amazon but it wonβt get here till Monday.
I canβt wait till Monday and cannot afford a tow. Please any assistance.
I currently have a brush set and a can compressed air for cleaning my servers but go through a lot of cans compressed air. So i looked into another solution as those cans as they are expensive ($5*12 per year=$60) and bad for the environment. I found 2 solution a compressor or those electric dusters and would like to know for a $30 budget should I get a cheap AliExpress compressor or one of those electric dusters? Thanks for your opinion.
I have a relatively cheap emergency air compressor in my trunk that is really only good for filling tires. One thing I like about it is, it can run on both 12 volts dc (car) and 120 volts ac (NA home).
Iβm looking for something with a small reservoir, metal construction, and the capability to run some small air tools. Operating with multiple power sources is a plus. Thanks:)
Considering both eventually but not sure which one to get first.
