Distribution transformer low frequency hum

Hi,We moved in to a new build house and there is a pole with distribution transformer bucket right outside producing low frequency hum(~60Hz). The hum is constant and can be heard/felt in every room of the house especially at night. We called HydroQuebec and they logged a ticket for the crew to check it out. What are the chances this will be fixed?

Do high rise apartments have one large distribution transformer or many small ones?

I know that in general, large apartment complexes benefit from centralized heating and cooling systems, because the large scale HVAC machinery are much more energy efficient per unit than even the best single-unit HVAC systems, even accounting for thermal losses through the longer piping. Is this the case with electrical distribution? Or is it the opposite? Do high rise apartments tend to have one ultra efficient transformer that steps the high voltage coming in to 120/240 volts to send throughout the building, or does each unit or floor have its own small transformer so the less efficient low voltage lines can be shorter?
