Treating Disorders of Consciousness With Apomorphine: Protocol for a Double-Blind Randomized Controlled Trial Using Multimodal Assessments
This study investigates the use of apomorphine for the recovery of consciousness in the first randomized placebo-controlled double-blind trial using multimodal assessments. The results will contribute to define the role of dopamine agonists for the treatment of these challenging conditions and identify the neural correlates to their action. Results will bring objective evidence to further assess the modulation of the anterior forebrain mesocircuit by pharmacological agents, which may open new therapeutic perspectives.

Have you guys ever heard of this? What do you think?
I have spoke with entities
Experienced time loops
Had my fair share of bad trips
Heard the greatest musical compositions imaginable
I want to do this to clarify any information regarding psychedelics and the stigma surrounding them.
I donβt have body image problems, and am not really skinny either. Is it tied to depression regardless, and is it serious? I havenβt gained much weight for a while and am about 5 foot 6 and 110 lbs
Can someone please help me better understand this part of todayβs lesson? I understand that he was trying to get us to see our visual field as light (like looking at a movie) instead of individual objects. He also says, βin this case, you are that condition. Youβre not merely looking at it, consciousness is aware of itself.β This one is a bit of a puzzle for me and I am not sure I understand the significance of the the exercise.
I've heard and read about many dynamics in which the Doms control the diet of their sub. Of course, I've also heard about the successful weight loss stories that came as a result, such as "my Dom didn't allow me to eat carbs and sugar and I've lost X kg in Y months". And sure, I find them all amazing but at the same time I've always had this...scepticism about having this kind of rules. It's not just my usual resistance to rules (pretty much of a brat, what can I say), it also feels like there's some anxiety attached to it. To make things clear, I'm not interested in losing weight through my D/s relationship, I know it can't work that way only. At the same time, I am trying to get into more healthy habits and I realize this could also help.
So basically, rather than advice, I'd prefer to hear your stories if you've ever tried this, successful or unsuccessful (not just in terms of weight loss), what worked, what didn't, what was it that you found difficult, solutions that you came up with. Also, as I mention in the title, I'm really interested whether anyone dealt with eating disorders and how it was for them in general.
Following the election, the inevitable leader discourse has begun amongst party membership, but I am getting increasingly worried by why each person is going for who they are.
I want to start by outright saying Starmer is my personal preference, but I would be 100% behind Rayner and RLB if they win and am absolutely on board with their platform. However, regardless of our preference, we are in a really bad position to try to win any election within the next decade.
There are three potential paths that Labour can go from here with regards to leader:
Stay left. This means fully left, RLB or Rayner on a 2019-style manifesto.
Pull back to 2017, or centre-left. Starmer basically.
Returning to 2015. Letβs not, Jess.
Each approach has vital flaws that will hurt us electorally. Path 1 is hampered by the fact we will face an identical media barrage, in addition to an inherent vulnerability of going into an election with a platform which has already taken a beating. Path 2 is weakened by the fact that it could be seen as a βmetropolitan eliteβ path and isnβt necessarily going to help us in the Red Wall. Path 3 is that but with added smugness.
The membership will go for path 1 or 2, that much is clear. But at present neither will succeed for one key reason: we donβt have class consciousness in the UK.
Thereβs a reason leftist theory hammers class consciousness hard. Party members have fallen into the trap of not having or spreading it. Iβve seen far too many Labour members be outright classist these past few days and act like we are entitled to working class support. Meanwhile Iβve seen others dismiss anyone other than those living in the Red Wall as some form of elite.
Things are crap for the young working in London and those working in the abandoned regions. We are faking for the Toriesβ rhetoric that you cannot support the young and the traditional working class. Weβve allowed them to divide the country around peripheral issues rather than the key issue of economic vulnerability. We need to unite all who are struggling and stop falling into the trap of allowing the Tories to divide and conquer.
Without class consciousness we will not be able to keep these two key voter bases together in 2024. We are also in a unique position of having to win people back now that their instinct against voting Tory is gone. Left, centre left or centre, none of them will be able to win without both voter groups
So how do we spread class consciousness? Firs
... keep reading on reddit β‘The quote itself comes from Renfield, a committed insane man, talking to Quincey, a Texan: "[Texas] reception into the Union was a precedent which may have far-reaching effects hereafter, when the Pole and the Tropics may hold allegiance to the Stars and Stripes."
I just find it odd they speak of it as momentous and influential over fifty years after the fact.
What do you learn about it in history class?
Do you have TV shows, movies, monuments, music etc?
What does the average person know about it?
I have a feeling that it is better known in former members of the Soviet Union than in Western Europe - is that true?
Not sure if this is the place to post but I just wanted to share my thoughts.
2020 feels a bit different... is it a shift in consciousness? Has anyone else felt this shift in energy?
Is humankind shifting into a more mindful, environmentally conscious species? Among other things, the bushfires here in Australia seems to have hit not only the ones who face the immediate impact of these tragedies but humankind globally seems to have a beautiful sense of compassion and love flowing through it. The giving, the talk about change and action, the love that is being shared amongst people from every race - this is what 2020 is about. This is about changing our focus from negative to positive. This is about our planet dying and humankind banding together to save her. This is about teacher our children, the future of the planet, to do things differently to the way we have done thing. Itβs our job to educate them before we canβt.
If we all work together, doing our part in our daily lives, we can continue this amazing shift of energy and use it to free the world of negativity.
In times of sadness and struggle, we find each other through love and compassion. Letβs bring that mentality to our beautiful Mother Earth and make her smile again.
Peace, love and positivity β€οΈ
Hello! I have the following question: How to βlisten to your heartβ and follow your passion if you are not your thoughts, and felling of self is just a thought/feeling that just appears in your consciousness? And if all your feelings about what is right for you are yours feelings that just appear and are not owned by you, how can you then pick up right things? Hope you understood my English and what I meant by writing it :)
