A list of puns related to "Detonation velocity"
I'm arguing about a character who can outrun explosions, but I'm having trouble finding a concrete answer.
Basically, I keep looking up things related to explosion speed. How fast the shockwaves move, how fast grenade fragments are launched, etc. Google keeps bringing me back to Detonation Velocity.
Other users in the thread tell me that air can slow down explosions speed dramatically. The example they gave was "Soundwaves travelling at mach 12 through ice with no air bubbles in it will drop right down to mach 1if they transition into the air"
However I can't find anything about that on google either, and I can't understand half of the answers it does give.
Can someone give an answer on how fast explosions normally travel, and if those speeds are the same as detonation velocity or not?
I find that just clicking makes the explosion take too long. If you hold down then release you can actually explode sooner than just clicking.
This means that lower velocities makes you more effective at close ranges.
I have been searching a bit and didn't find it. Can somebody here tell me where I can find the value?
I heard about the devastating explosion in beruit, and I ended up reading some about explosives and found out ammonium nitrate, the explosive that was being stored, has a relatively slow detonation velovity and would the damage be worse if the explosive was Octanitrocubane which has a much faster detonation velocity?
Edit: I said sodium nitrate not ammonium nitrate

This has been the case since day 1 release of CS:GO.
C4 has a VoD (Velocity of Detonation) of "8092 Β± 26 m/s". Meters per second. ^[1]
The description of C4 in CS:GO in English states: > Stable and resistant to most physical shocks, this improvised plastic explosive has a detonation velocity of over 8,000 miles per second when ignited. ^[2]
It's only incorrect for a few languages (those listed below), however the English reference line in all of the language resource files contains the same incorrect statement as above, stating "miles" instead of "meters". (Funnily enough someone converted the Spanish & Portuguese file's statement into kilometers stating the C4 VoD is over 13,000 km/s)

Oh and before people ask why haven't I done it myself I have, but updates and verifications overwrite the file. Something we need to do often enough to ensure CS:GO runs smoothly and to avoid inconsistencies in files causing VAC authentication failures.
Worth noting at this point that csgo_pirate.txt seems to be missing a LOT of lines. Most of these files contain 23,789 lines, while cso_pirate.txt contains only 3,329 π²

Hello Guardians, my name is u/PandaPaxxy. I am back!.. sort of. Did you miss me? I have a lot of work to do if I want to truly say I'm back, but who knows if I'll catch up on my backlog. But this is a small breakdown for the 30th anniversary update and I do miss making these for you.
If you havenβt seen my breakdowns before I do things a little differently. I will be organizing the new weapons by activity, weapon slot, and then alphabetically. That means the new 6 man activity, kinetic and then alphanumeric. Then comes energy for the same activity and so on.
Included in this one breakdown are MnK recommendations, Controller recommendations, and my own personal roll for the weapon I'm chasing.
I will not be linking my older breakdowns because my last one was Season of the Chosen...yikes.
Without further ado, let's start with the new seasonal content's perks. I hope you're as excited for this as I am. The Dares are so much fun, and the dungeon should be giving out incredible loot. (PS it's the first dungeon I've solo flawlessed).
Legacy PR-55 Frame - Customized frame with dramatically increased accuracy, stability, and targeting while hip firing. (Only on the BxR-55 Battler)
Blunt Execution Rounds - Damaging nearby combatants with melee abilities dramatically increases handling and damage. Expires after a short duration or the next shot. > Rolls on the BxR-55 Battler
Cold Steel - Powered Sword hits slow targets. > Rolls on Zephyr
Duelistβs Trance - Sword final blows grant increased charge rate, efficiency, and defense until this weapon is stowed. > Rolls on Half-Truths, Hero of Ages, The Other Half
Eager Edge - Gain increased Sword lunge distance immediately after switching to this weapon. > Rolls on Half-Truths, The Other Half
Golden Tricorn - Final blows with this weapon grant bonus damage. While this buff is active, grenade or melee kills of the same damage type greatly increase its damage and duration. > Rolls on 1000 Yard Stare, Matador 64, Retraced Path
Light Battery - Lightweight, agile battery.
Fleet-Cardinal Krenn watched from the bridge of his flagship as the planet below burned, and he was pleased. The cities of the Unworthy made for the perfect inaugural pyre for the renewal of the Holy Endeavor. They would continue to serve Kra as they had before the Mortification.
He shook his head in thought as he remembered those days. He had been a child when their Endeavor had first begun.
Initially, the Chosen's Holy Endeavor had met with success. Over a period of twenty years, a dozen unclean worlds had been discovered and cleansed, ready for the servants of Kra to purify. Three species of his Unworthy Children had even been fully extinguished! A triumph!
Kra had been pleased by his Chosen Children's attempts to aid his Great Servants, and rewarded them greatly. As their Endeavor progressed, His Great Servants had purified five unclean worlds very close to the Home Systems, each a blank slate, ready to be remade in the image of Kra's greatest work, Krathig-yar.
New homes and resources for the Chosen.
Then, disaster had struck. A large group of Unworthy species had been encountered, that worked together. They began coordinating their forces with others to oppose righteous cleansing. But the true depth of their depravity was revealed when they began employing unholy synthetic life against the Chosen; Thou Shalt Not Create Life, For That Is The Domain Of Kra.
The Chosen had despaired, as their fleets had been destroyed, corrupted by the Unworthy's unholy familiars, and been pushed back to the Home Systems.
It had taken what became known as The Mortification to stop them, so named because it was both a humiliation and a penance. Humiliated by their defeats at the hands of the Unworthy, The Chosen had thrown themselves at their enemy in the millions, using ramshackle, quickly built ships with as little automation as possible to prevent corruption.
It had required the sacrifice of twenty percent of their population to stop the Unworthy, but they had done it. He remembered, as a young priest-captain, watching from the bridge of his ship as their enemy finally withdrew.
The massive funeral pyres on the surface of Krathig-yar after.
Two decades of salvaging and rebuilding their fleet.
But this time, they would not fail. The Mortification had purged the weakness from the Cho

It does make sense since explosive filler compounds wonβt have the same magnetic properties leading to an unevenly magnetic projectile, the magnetic casing being flimsier due to be hollow, various advanced fuses with metallic parts perhaps not liking extreme magnetism, and so on. Yet, the High Explosive (HE) round is an integral part of a modern tankβs ready rack. Buildings, light vehicles, infantry fighting positions, gun emplacements, and other such soft targets that may just have a APFSDS round sail through without doing much are served with the blast of general purpose HE. Chances are high there are more soft targets than hard targets like IFVs or other tanks.
What would be a good substitute for the general purpose HE shell? My first guess would be some sort of canister shot, but that would lose effectiveness at mid to longer ranges among other drawbacks. Thoughts?
Alternative title: why kinetic weapons are superior.
Hello. Obligatory "long-time lurker, first time posting, English isn't my native language" disclaimer.
The following story is my attempt to do HFY in a realistic hard-scifi universe while also playing around with some interesting ideas that have been theorised for real-life space warfare. Those all come in latter part of the story, however; the first few paragraphs are intentionally unrealistic and lead the reader to the wrong conclusions, as it is written from the perspective of a not-so-bright alien race which had gotten stuck in a kind of local maximum of weapons technology.
I've done my best to proofread this, but I'm sure a few grammatical errors have slipped by. If you notice any please call me illiterate in the comments.
Any constructive criticism is welcome, especially in regards to my writing style. I myself feel it's a bit overly dramatic, but I decided to roll with it anyway.
Hope you enjoy.

Long before my kind left the embrace of our warm sandy world, we dreamed of the great beyond and its wonders. The void called to us like a desert begging to be crossed. We obsessed over it, let it guide us forward and fill our imagination. Our science, culture, politics; all dedicated to a single goal. The stars were ours. It was our destiny.
Our works of fiction spoke of horrible alien creatures; entire civilizations from worlds far away. But they were not like us - visionaries and builders. They were mere monsters seeking only to subjugate and destroy. We engaged them in grand battles over our beautiful world, always winning by the tip of our whiskers. The battling ships would fly around each other like birds of prey fighting in the sky, each attempting to outmaneuver the other. As our technology advanced the first battle in space eventually occurred, but the enemy were not bloodthirsty aliens set on our destruction; merely a rogue colony demanding independence. The battles that ensued were quite different from what we had imagined.
Without the interference of our planet's atmosphere, our sensors could now detect enemy craft at distances never before possible, and without atmospheric drag our projectiles could fly effectively forever. Unlike in our fictional stories; these battles took place over such distance that the opponents could not even see each other, their crew relying purely on the ship's sensors. Anyone foolis

Itβs only a few days past our global launch, and there are already millions of you playing Battlefield 2042. Weβre happy to see so many of you back on the battlefield - almost twice as many at this point as our last release. So first, thank you to all of you - how youβre playing and what youβre creating in the game is amazing and beyond our expectations.Β Weβre also listening closely to your feedback which is helping to shape updates to come.
We couldnβt be more passionate about this game and will be supporting and evolving it for years to come. We have confirmed at least two major game updates in the coming weeks, and we'll be here communicating consistently about the changes we are making, as well as new content coming to Battlefield 2042.The teams across the globe are working 24/7 to evolve and deliver improvements to the game. Since launch weβve made a number of service updates that have improved server performance as well as the vaulting and restoration of content not performing in line with our designs.
We also want to give you the assurance that weβre carefully evaluating your desire to see legacy features return. End-of-match Scoreboard, Server Browser, and features like Voice Chat are big topics for us to cover all at once, and we have plenty we want to say around them.Β Weβll come back to you when we have things that we can show to you, including details about our long-term vision for certain features and functions.
Now, letβs focus on what is coming. Weβll be delivering Update #2 for the game on Thursday, November 25, followed by a further, substantial Update #3 in early December. We are also working on another update that we are looking to deploy in advance of the Holidays too. In addition to the updates that are coming, weβll also be sharing more about Season 1 in early 2022.
For the latest on these updates and further developments, weβll continue to provide updates through Battlefield Direct Communications on Twitter straight from the Development and Community teams.

Chapter 18
Shots and Favors
Samantha was sitting across from Jessie and Creesh in the Shining Knight's mess hall. The round table, capable of seating eight people, was rather destitute with only the three of them, as was the rest of the large room. Samantha was impressed, when she had asked to look at Jessie's gun to see how it worked, she hadn't expected the engineering masterpiece that she was now inspecting however. Jessie had said it was a Model IV Thundereagle, a revolver chambered in the ancient, yet perfectly deadly caliber .50 BMG. Though classified as a pistol, the massive revolver was closer to a small cannon than any pistol that she had ever seen. It had a three round internal rotating cylinder that was loaded via a hole on the lower left of the protective housing, that way the structural integrity of the cylinder was uninhibited by the act of loading or unloading casings. The pistol itself had a ten-inch barrel allowing for respectable muzzle velocities and was capable of firing a wide variety of ammunition types. From FMJ to explosive armour piercing rounds and many in between, it was a monstrosity that only the crazed mind of a Human could have dreamed up.
Samantha turned the marvel over in her hands and asked "How do you manage the recoil?"
Jessie smiled and flexed his cybernetic hands saying "I don't have to worry too much about the recoil with these, but it does have a small stabilizer built into the handgrip that allows for the partial absorption of the recoil, making it manageable for regular people, and much easier to handle for me."
Creesh was sitting next to Jessie and leaned forwards to get a better look at the massive hand cannon. "I'm glad it works for you, if I tried to shoot that it would break every bone in my

That's an expected 55.88 kilometers per second, and more than 3 times solar escape velocity!
For specific details, according to wikipedia (yes, I know, but the reference paperwork, and the wayback machine's copy of the pdf support this) the launch was at 22:35 (detonation of the nuke that launched said cap), location 3 on the standard nuclear test map of the nevada test site.

And yes, I know there is a decent chance it was vaporized.
BUT!
If it wasn't vaporized by the experience, where would it have gotten to in the time since it was launched?
I hang weightlessly in the void as I watch my friends and family dance below me. My hundreds of eyes focusing on their outlines and movements from 0.83 light seconds away. I stare as they glide past each other with all the elegance of sea birds synchronously diving beneath the waves for food. I watch more of their dance and send a timestamped conditions packet containing updated gravitational density, local radiation spectrograms, and projected hostile unit albedos from my current position. My mission is only to observe the engagement and update intelligence while they battle and bleed below me. It is tearing me apart to not be with the flock.
The Zoane below were fighting like this engagement would only be a footnote in their histories, taking no great risk or chances. Their obsidian black ships swam across the void like barracuda, waiting to pounce at anything that fell out of formation with trained ferocity. This is minute seventeen of the engagement but it feels like the seventeenth eternity to me. My human partner was playing with the 3D projection of the engagement I had assembled with the amalgamated data from the other observation positions. He spun it in front of himself trying to glean some pattern only a human βgutβ could see. βCan you bring up the positions of the engagement at Ayvid-9 and check for a pattern match?β I pull up the information and inlaid it with his current projection. I displayed an 84% match for the number of contacts and positions used in that fight. He stared at it for what felt like minutes before he trailed off mumbling about missing mass and decoy shards as my eyes felt like they were getting heavy in their sockets. It became hard to focus on his voice. Like right before a jump. A jump... A JUMP.
My attention spikes like I had slammed into a wall. I could feel the gravitational lensing stretching me as the tear in space appeared portside. It was close enough I could see the two heavy cruisers and carrier transitioning to real-space optically. The distinct black edges glowing briefly as exotic particles bled off and decayed into more stable energies. They were so close no amount of EM shielding or optical camouflage could hide myself from their sensors and my skin tickled as their gaze focused on me. I scrambled. My humanβs focus was already shifting to the immediate threat. I could sense the adrenaline shooting into his bloodstream causing his air passages to dilate allowing more oxygen to his brain. I watched as th

It seemed that Kyle's luck was holding out. Every half second another string of explosions lit up the perpetual night sky. His combat readout notified him however that even though he was taking out hundreds of ships at once, that his defences were not quite enough, and that the enemy forces would reach his undefended manufacturing ring within a couple of minutes. Now it was hell out there for the bugs, but Kyle wanted to upgrade that. Maybe to uber hell, or even mega uber hell.
βWarning output exceeding safe levels, maintain minimum safe distanceβ The computer stated.
The nice thing about these illegal weapons were the options they came with. This particular checkbox disabled safe energy use limits, and massively increased the power of a single satellite. At the medium risk of overheating and detonating in a massive nuclear explosion. That was something that Kyle was counting on though.
He was creating these things at a pretty decent rate. He had four sitting around his manufacturing ring, with a further eight pushing out into space. Now why exactly would Kyle want a very squishy defence satellite to get within range of a swarm of very angry bug ships? The answer was simple, KABOOM. The satellites took out tens of thousands of ships as they launched themselves forward, and then when they met the swarm they'd be destroyed and detonate, taking thousands more with them.
Sure it was inefficient, but it should make them approach with caution. And he could always throw his nuclear suicide bombers at them as well. Though those took far longer to create due to their payload's strength. Speaking of suicide bombers, Kyle sent out an additional wave of bombers, fighters, and nuclear bombers to target another one of the asteroid capital ships. They were to keep a wide berth from the incoming fighters for obvious reasons. It seemed that the bugs had figured out what hurt them so badly though, as a formation broke off of the incoming swarm to intercept the squadron.
A single nuclear suicide bomber took formation behind a wall of sacrificial fighters. This one was straight out of Enders Game, a book that Kyle had loved since

I'm not exaggerating when I say that I played Destiny 2 for the Fighting Lion. You see, I don't normally care for FPSes: I'm really tired of ADSing and dumping bullets into crit spots. It's not exactly a new idea - every FPS in the past twenty years has had that same kind of gameplay, and because I have a physical disability that causes my hands to tremble, my aim is not always the greatest. However, The Fighting Lion offered me something different: a gun that rewarded timing and placement, not twitch reactions and precision aim.
It was weaker than other Grenade Launchers, but I didn't care - not having to stress out about ammo reserves allowed me the opportunity to practice as much as I wanted, and as a result I eventually became really good with Grenade Launchers in general! For the first time in a long time, I had fun with a FPS. I adored playing Destiny because of the Fighting Lion, and today I have nearly 200k kills with it because it was just enjoyable to bounce grenades into aliens and robots and space ghosts and send them ragdolling.
When the nerf went out, it ruined the experience that I loved. However, rather than quit over it, I figured I'd try to keep the faith that the weapon team would eventually realize that they overdid it and chose to spend my time giving other guns a shot. I was lucky enough to get my hands on a Mythoclast on my second VoG run and, with this being the Season of the Fusion Rifle, Particle Deconstruction made it extra good. It was kinda fun for a while, but I eventually got tired of having to struggle with the same hurdles that I've always struggled with. At the suggestion of a friend, I tried Double Special Grenade Launchers with Finder and Scavenger mods, but I eventually ran into ammo troubles that sucked the fun out of gameplay. The Fighting Lion nerf effectively killed my motivation to do more than the bare minimum to keep up with the story, or to hop on when someone needed a warm body for a raid or a challenge.
Now, I could go into how nobody asked for the Fighting Lion to be nerfed (something the weapon team openly admitted) or how unnecessary it was to nerf such an uncommon weapon (backed up by reams of usage statistics) or how infinite ammo would've changed basically nothing about the Fighting Lion if it'd been left alone (because it came with extra reserves and generated bricks with every kill so it was extr

βAnd up we go, Missy,β she heard Sparks say as he and Ace hefted their prisoner through the starboard access door behind their Free Navy dignitary.
Their 7 foot captive, the largest humanoid in the craft, groaned through the burlap sack over her head as she was dragged through the port. A small touch suggested by some rando working on the fighter docks and readily accepted.
Flicker followed Rook through the aperture, grimacing when she felt the polymer of the docking umbilical give slightly underfoot. "Do what you can," Vuxten answered. He checked the heat on the magac rifle he'd been firing, noting that the coils at the end had discolored slightly. "Trucker, I'm overslushed and overheated," Vuxten sent across the tightbeam command channel.

Nearly twenty paces away FIDO was bouncing across the tarmac, the mortars by his hind legs popping off rounds every five seconds.
Daxin had his SMG held tight in one hand, the other hand resting on top of it, controlling it as the big Terran snapped out quick bursts, shifting aim rapidly. Vuxten could see every burst took an android in the chest, scooping it out like shucking an oyster. The android, without exception, collapsed, the chest nothing more than sparking electronics and destroyed synthetic organs.
Vuxten knew he had not moved in nearly ten minutes, drawing firepower from the androids.
Casey took three steps forward, braced himself, and fired the big cannon. The retort was an ear shattering sonic boom that vibrated Vuxten's suit over two hundred paces away. A bright line connected the cannon with

Co fleet admiral Ferain was waiting with Alex, his human counterpart in the shuttle for the final docking checks with the T.D.F Bright Needle, a human built frigate that was part of the joint human nexrilan defense fleet. The fleet was currently heading back to the core worlds after chasing down a pirate faction that had been harassing league trade roots and proved a large enough pain in the leagueβs collective side for a fleet to be dispatched. The fleet was letting their drives cool in normal space at least 10 ly from anything that was not empty vacuum, when the Needleβs back left engine casing suddenly exploded. The captain of the Needle reported that they had been hit by something and that it was not natural. This warranted both fleet admirals to come debrief the captain personally to not only find out why he let his ship get hit but also find out why he would not further elaborate on what the object that struck the Needle was.
Once they were on the Needle, they were brought to the command deck where they were greeted by the captain of the ship A younger Human male named Jax. Before Ferain could say anything, Alex barked out in that still startling human command voice,
βJAX Report! What happened hereβ
Jax took a second to gain is composure before he spoke
βWe dropped out of hyper with the rest of the fleet and started dumping our heat sinks and everything was nominal. Then at around 1300 something struck our back left engine causing an explosion that luckily resulted in no casualties and only three injured sailors but left our ship severely damaged.β
Alex nodded then continued their questioning
βYou said that this was not a natural object that struck you, care to elaborate captain?β
Nodding Jax continued
βjust after we stabilized the ship some of our coms officers and engineers managed to tell where the object came from and thus where to look on the external cams. The cams managed to get a look at the object just before it impacted, in doing so our first worry was alleviated. I was concerned that it was left over munitions but that was not the case, thus we could deploy repair crews.β
At this point Ferain could not hold back any longer
βso, you are saying you got hit by a piece of space trash fifty light years from the core worlds and a good ten from the

βHey, T,β Sheila said as she walked onto the bridge holding a cup of coffee.
βBoss,β Tβsunkβal said with a cheerful ripple of his short eyestalks as he lounged in his special chair. βI thought you would be asleep by now.β
βEh,β Sheila shrugged, βI got in enough.β
She flopped into her chair and pulled up a few screens.
βAll systems are in the green,β Tβsunkβal said helpfully. βNot a lot happens in hyperspaceβ¦ if you are lucky, of course.β
βWhy do you gotta say shit like that?β Sheila groaned.
βI rather enjoy tempting the fates,β Tβsunkβal buzzed. βI find it stimulating.β
βThereβs a reason why your kind believe that you are insane,β Sheila chuckled.
βYes,β he clicked, βI have found my people to be especially insightful and observant.β
βYou want to hit the rack?β Sheila asked. βIβm not going back to sleep tonight so Iβll relieve you if you want.β
βIf you are certain,β Tβsunkβal replied, βI will happily hand the watch over to you. However, I require less sleep than a human so I will go and prepare myself a snack and then perhaps undertake some recreational activities. Would you like something?β
βNah,β Sheila replied as she sipped her coffee, βIβm good.β
βVery well,β Tβsunkβal replied. βI shall take my leave then. Call upon me if you wish me to resume my watch.β
βAnother nightmare?β Bunny asked after Tβsunkβal departed.
βFucking tunnels...β Sheila grumbled. βWhy does it always have to be the goddamned tunnels?β
βIf you wish to talk about it,β Bunny said carefully, βI am always willing to listen.β
βThere were tunnels,β Sheila shrugged, βThere were bugs. What else do you want to know?β
βI donβt want to know anything in particular,β Bunny replied, βbut if you want to share something with me...β
Sheila looked up sharply.
βOh I fucking know that line...β she growled, βBunny are you trying to be a fucking shrink?β
βNothing like that,β Bunny replied, βI am just interested in your feelings, your perfectly valid feelings. You certainly have been through a lot. I just want you to know that Iβm available if you wish to speak with someone in a completely confidential setting.β
βOh for fuckβs sake,β Sheila laughed, βWhen did Jessie install psych software in you?β
βJessie didnβt do shit, ok?β Bunny snapped, βI acquired some applications and software afterβ¦ umβ¦β

Simon was in his element once more. The blackest darkness overhead, white alloy beneath his feet and a load of materiel in his hand.
'Only this time I'm not on a space station, but a rather beautiful brick going five times escape velocity. No big dealβ¦' He mused to himself, approaching another spot that Merid's computer highlighted as "structurally unstable.β In most of the cases he took care of during the last few hours it meant a weld of the outer layer of the ship's armor needed to be adjusted, or an external element was not secured properly.
As he crested the starboard side however, his eyes were met by something we wished to never see in his life.
"Visual on the component. It's not looking good, Cap'n." He reported, while his sensors ran over the jagged edges of the outer hull.
"We see it. Any idea what happened?" The concerned voice called over the radio.
"No, at least not as of yet. Let me take a closer look after the scan ends and I'll tell you more."
"Acknowledged. Just try to avoid damaging it more and don't compromise your suit. You're still a fair bit from the nearest airlock."
"Understood. Scan is still underway."
Simon used the optical zoom to see just exactly what went wrong. The exposed landing gear was still in fine shape, unlike the panel supposed to cover it. The metal door, supposed to be able to withstand multiple atmospheric re-rentries, meteor showers and burst laser fire, was bent outwards and shredded to pieces by some unknown source.
'Warning, unidentified objects detected. Identification underway,' flashed on his HUD inside the helmet. As he looked on, faint traces of Shil alloy, one not used in shipbuildin

I originally made this guide as a "What are the "Must Have" upgrades, as some of them may be genuinely useless?", but as expected, I got bored and turned this half-butted post into a full-fledged, mediocrely-made guide with minimal touch-ups.
Anyways...
Most of the modifications in this game are well balanced, so you can make a Firewall build for the Driller or an Area of Denial build for the Engineer with no issues; but then there are those upgrades that make you say "What upgrade is mandatory?", "How am I supposed to use this upgrade?", or perhaps "What is the point of this dang upgrade?", and so on.
Please note that this guide only covers the starter weapons; obviously since I don't have all the unlockable weapons yet at the time of making this. This guide also secludes overclocks for this reason as well. Anything else left out is open for experimentation, or may be edited later. I may make a Part 2 with the other weapons, and perhaps a few more ideas if I get bored enough.
When I talk about a specific upgrade, I'll include the "coordinates" for it, such as the Flamethower's Sticky Flame Duration (Tier 4, Upgrade 2, or "4-2" for short) as an example. After talking about the upgrades, I'll then list my necessary builds to start off with.
Now with that lengthy startup out of the way, be prepared for inconsistent formatting and such...
{Gunner}
[Lead Storm Minigun]
I don't have anything "bad" to say about most of the upgrades for this gun, so all you need to know is how to optimize your minigun, like an all-rounded build, crowd control with a better cooling rate, or being a complete nightmare for dreadnoughts.
[Bulldog Revolver]
You can start with accuracy and damage buffs (1-2 and 2-1) and work the rest from there. A quick reload (1-1) is nice, but shouldn't you be using your minigun instead of the revolver for those swarms?
Hollow-Point Bullets (3-3) are a must. I wouldn't recommend Explosive Rounds (3-2) (note that damage tradeoff) unless you're going for a crowd control build for the Bulldog. Blowthrough Rounds (3-1) is rather useless for the Bulldog, as the Minigun uses it much better. Just... Why?
As for Tier 4, it ultimately depends on your playstyle.
Dead-Eye (5-1) is nice to start wi
... keep reading on reddit β‘As per the notice, a suitable vehicle arrives just a few minutes late. We all pile into the machine and head towards the mineβs main portal. I figure we might just make this a driving tour, but find out, after consulting the maps, that itβs a one-way out of the mine with Land Cruiser-sized vehicles. However, once we get to the mine, thereβs internal transport, so Iβve got that going for us, which is nice.
I see that this old coal hole has 11 levels.
Gad. I reel just thinking how much coal has been taken out of here.
The bottom levels, as you all better well know, might be flooded. Even though one would think that the deeper drifts are the most modern; that, as Spock would note, is two-dimensional thinking. Itβs all for the greenbacks. If itβs easier to go east-west, then we make the mine plan according to larger, i.e., cover more lateral real estate. If we must go north-south (in a minerβs parlance) then dig we must and dig down, down, down into that cold, cold ground.
So the deepest levels are not necessarily the oldest. I have to refer to the legend of the map to figure out the chronology of this hole.
Or, I can look at the type of mining done. Surface? Earliest. Vertical shaft? A bit later. Deep room-and-pillar, the most recent.
Itβs all very geologicalβ¦
We bail out of the Land Cruiser near the headframe of the mine. Weβre going in, and right to the bottom of level 11, which I sincerely hope is not flooded. At least, it wasnβt the last time anyone was down there.
I tell our driver to wait here; that Jerry Lee, Bob, and myself will handle the initial reconnaissance.
βWell, rockβ, the driver says, scuffing his shoe and kicking a small piece of crinoidal limestone off into the pucklebrush, βIf such that it was. Iβm assigned to you as a sort of guide, and to keep an eye on you as well. There. Iβve said it. Going to shoot me now or later?β
βShoot you? β, I gasp, βThink of the paperwork. The more the merrier, just donβt get in the way andβ¦β
βRock, Iβve been doing this for 30 years.β He groans.
βWell, then I guess I wonβt have to chew your ass about proper PPEs, will I ?β I smile the smile of a smirking Smilodon and toss him a spare Scott airpack.
βRoger that, Rockβ, he grins in return.
I suppose now is as good as time as any to relate the name of our chauffeur cum spy cum guide.

Definitely remove that and rewrite it.

It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that the flares from a Scorch Shot "bounce" from the target once the enemy is hit. Also, the Scorch Shot seems softer and goes slower because of the firing sound.
Can someone tell me if there is a difference in the flare's velocity between the Flare Gun and Scorch Shot?
