A list of puns related to "Daydream Believer"
In the beginning of this episode Olivia references similarities to a case she worked in 2004. Alluding to the beginning of Greg Yates. Was there an episode on this in 04? I can't seem to remember one.
Oh, I could hide 'neath the wings
Of the bluebird as she sings
The six o'clock alarm would never ring
But it rings, and I rise
Wipe the sleep out of my eyes
My shavin' razor's cold and it stings
Cheer up, sleepy Jean
Oh, what can it mean that
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen
You once thought of me
As a white knight on his steed
Now, you know how happy I can be
Whoa, and our good times start and end
Without dollar one to spend
But how much, baby, do we really need
Cheer up, sleepy Jean
Oh, what can it mean that
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen
Cheer up, sleepy Jean
Oh, what can it mean that
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen
(Instrumental Interlude)
Cheer up, sleepy Jean
Oh, what can it mean that
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen
Cheer up, sleepy Jean
Oh, what can it mean that
To a daydream believer
And a homecoming queen
(fades out)
Hi there,
I used to love watching the shred of Daydream Believer but it has been removed from Youtube. It was my favourite shred. Does anyone have a copy they could DM or share. Thanks.
I know this is old stuff since the show has been streamed months ago for the first time. Might be reading too much into it. However I listened to the song of the trailer closely, while I had forgotten it was from the Wandavision trailer.
Now I find especially the second verse very interesting, aside from the chorus of course.
"You once thought of me As a white knight on his steed Now, you know how happy I can be Whoa, and our good times start and end Without dollar one to spend But how much, baby, do we really need
Chorus: Cheer up, sleepy Jean Oh, what can it mean that To a daydream believer And a homecoming queen"
The white knight is probably a reference to both old vision who "saved her" mentally and emotionally but also to the new white vision created by SWORD.
"Now you know how happy I can be" Is probably referencing her initial happiness with her new found love Vision but also her fake happiness in her chaos magic created fake world.
The following lines can all be interpreted as them both living together in this alternate reality created by Wanda, without a dollar to spend, good times start and end, but how much, baby, do we really need.
The chorus I always see as the manifestation of her breakdown when she "comes home" to their property and despairs of thinking of Vision and creates the new reality for her and vision. "Cheer up sleepy Jean" She is literally the daydream believer and the homecoming queen.
Super obscure, and I know the song is kind of ruined Bc of Greg Yates, but I really like the version he was playing in the car when he first kidnapped Nadia and I couldnβt find it on Apple Music. Does anyone know who sings it?

So Iβve been listening to the Wandavision trailer song βDaydream Believerβ and I canβt help but feel sad and sorry for Wanda. Especially when the line β...Daydream believer and a homecoming queen.β plays in. Someone in the comments section on Youtube said that the Homecoming queen would be in this case Wanda and the daydream believer Vision. But Iβve asked myself like what the rest of the lyrics means, since Marvel chose this song it has to be for a reason. Can someone explain please? I wanns hear about your interpretations.
OK OK in all fairness, I'm not a homecoming anything but we have some momentum today. If it continues we could see .50 Doge pretty soon.
Choice of songs must have some meaning. The end of Ep.3, after Geraldine is thrown out, the song "Daydream Believer" starts. And the words 'daydream believer' come on as the screen goes black. This is Wanda's dream.
