Would it be worth it to have some kinda poll ranking?
And are they interconnected any to the point where watching a bunch benefits a larger whole?
Do any of the pre-Flashpoint movies have to be watched in a certain order or are they all completely standalone?
Are there any pre-Flashpoint movies I should watch before watching Flashpoint Paradox?
Are there any that you would recommend skipping?
All of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies, including the upcoming Wonder Woman: Bloodlines and Superman: Red Son. A couple have alts, mainly due to indecision.Google Drive
I also included the DC Showcase shorts, except Sgt. Rock. I was unable to find any relevant art for that. If anyone has any they'd like me to use I can put it together.
I can also put together a DCAMU sub-collection if there is interest in that.
Anyway, enjoy! Feedback is always welcome!

All of my DC sets can be found here.
I'm looking at these two Wikipedia entries (DC Universe Animated Original Movies & DC Animated Movie Universe).
I guess why question is why are there two entries when there are so many overlaps, and why aren't all movies on both?
My knowledge of the DC animated movies is that I really enojoying the premieres they have at Comic-Con every year. Otherwise, I am a total noob to them. I was trying to figure out what year the Harley Quinn one came out and couldn't find it on one of the lists, got thoroughly confused, and ended up here.
I look forward to diving deep into this universe, but any initial guidance is greatly appreciated!
Why are only some DC direct-to-video animated movies given this label, but not others? For example, Batman vs, Two-Face has "DC Animation Original Movies" on it's cover, but I've never seen it listed as a DCAOM. (This isn't a snarky question... I'd sincerely like to know why some of the movies are given this coveted label.)
Been watching these in release order (skipping the ones I've seen, like Superman/Batman: Apocalypse (which was amazing))... Loving them. Justice League: War is next.
I imagine these are universally loved?
Since Justice League vs Teen Titans is releasing on Blu-Ray today, I'm going to be rewatching the previous movies before watching the new one.
What I'm wondering is what the viewing order is, starting with Justice League: War, but not including Batman: Assault on Arkham or Justice League: Gods and Monsters (since those ones are in the Arkham Asylum universe and another alternate universe, respectively).
Do they take place in release order? If that's the case, it would be in this order, right?
Justice League: War
Son of Batman
Justice League: Throne of Atlantis
Batman vs Robin
Batman: Bad Blood
Justice League vs Teen Titans
Also, does anybody know if Batman: the Killing Joke will be set in this universe or if it will be unrelated? I'm just wondering because at the end of Bad Blood, they showed Batgirl, but instead of the current Batman and Joker (Jason O'Mara and Troy Baker respectively), Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will be returning to voice them. To me, that says it'll be an unrelated story to the rest, like most of the pre-War movies are, but I don't know if anything has been confirmed yet
Would love to hear more TWP thoughts about these movies, they did talk about "Batman: The Killing Joke", but there's so much more to talk about. I think the characterizations are good and if the creators become more ambitions with their stories/are given more funding and creative control I think this could be the future of DC movies, (since the live-actions ones are such a mess, at the very least production-wise)
i've watched 'Son of Batman', 'Batman vs. Robin', 'Bad Blood', and 'Justice League vs. Teen Titans'. they seem relatively in order
but the batman movie 'Assault on Arkham' (haven't seen it) is made right after 'son of batman' and it doesn't look like Damian Wayne is in it. also, where is Tim drake in all of this?
I was also wondering, is there a show that goes along with the animated movies? sorry i'm a casual enthusiast, i hope my noob question didn't offend anybody. idk if all the DC cartoon are in the same universe or if they have a million different ones like marvel
what of the original dc animated universe comics not the current continues ones donβt mess with canon continuity and characterization of characters?
So, what is the most efficient way to purchase these? I know there is a 30 movie bundle, but you still aren't getting at least 10 movies with it (wikipedia says there are 41 now). How would you recommend I add them to the collection?
Note, I'm not including films like Batman Beyond Return of Joker, the 1960s Batman animated movies or Batman Vs. Dracula since they aren't part of the official list.
I saw a post on twitter about it so I decided "fuck it. Why not make this post?" Now for the invincible cast it will include both the heroes and the villains. And they will have exactly 24 hours to prepare.
Do they have what it takes to put down this titan?
There are 16 movies in the DC Animated Movie Universe (DCAMU) according to Wikipedia. What are the essential movies to watch in this universe, and are there any other films that share the same continuity/universe as the DCAMU that are not listed among these 16 films?
Clarification: When I say essential, I mean what are the ones that must be watched in order to understand the overall storyline.
The Wikipedia page says "sequels toΒ The Flashpoint Paradox, Son of Batman, andΒ Justice League Dark co-exist with this continuity." Why does it highlight those films specifically?
The plot lines are more wholesome even though they are animations. The portrayal of Batman is much accurate. Aside from everyone being super hot, everything is perfect there compared to tired ass DCEU live action movies.
I want to cover all of DC animated series and movies. Where do I start? Which are canon?
Please list them chronologically
I never even heard of the DC Animated Original Movies until about a year ago and since watching them I am amazed at the quality (in animation, voice acting, storyline and more). I don't know why it is (other than marketing) that they aren't as well known as the Marvel movies, but they should be. Movies like Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, Batman: Under the Red Hood, Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, Superman vs the Elite, Justice League Dark: Apocalypse War and many more are great movies and I don't see why they didn't get a theatrical release.
I've been rewatching a few of these movies in anticipation of watching Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. And it got me thinking about the timeline of this universe and whether it can make sense. They did a great job building a pretty coherent and consistent universe for the most part across these films, and yet between the New 52 inspired Justice League War and later flashbacks to the early days of superheroes in this universe, things got a bit messy.
Here's my attempt to try and put it all together. (Note: As far as possible I've tried to go with each film being set in the year of its release):
2012: Prologue of Teen Titans: Judas Contract.
2014: Prologue of Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, Justice League War, Son of Batman
2015: Justice League Throne of Atlantis, Batman vs. Robin
2016: Batman Bad Blood, Justice League vs. Teen Titans
2017: Justice League Dark, Teen Titans: The Judas Contract
2018: Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, The Death of Superman
2019: Reign of the Supermen, Batman Hush, Wonder Woman Bloodlines
2020: Prologue of Justice League Dark: Apokolips War
2022: Justice League Dark: Apokolips War
Now, a few additional notes and issues:
The flashback to ''5 years ago'' in Judas Contract shows Dick as Robin as part of the original Titans with Wally as Kid Flash. This scene is placed in 2012, two years before Justice League War, which seemingly shows us a Batman and Flash early in their careers who've never met before. Are we to assume that the Titans formed in this universe before the Justice League? And that Dick and Wally knew each other before Bruce and Barry?
Talia mentions that she's known Bruce for 12 years in Bad Blood, which would imply that Bruce has been Batman since 2004 in this universe! Of course, its possible that she and Bruce met before he became Batman. There's also the issue of Damien's conception and his age...which admittedly is a chronological nightmare in the comics as well.
Vandal Savage mentions in Hell to Pay that he's had a lot of near-death experiences in the last ''10 years'' due to the emergence of superheroes, suggesting that the heroes started appearing in 2008. Of course, he could be exaggerating, rounding upwards.
When exactly is the final scene of Justice League Flashpoint Paradox set? It has to be set after Justice League War at least since Bruce and Barry know each other I guess.
I suppose the easiest solution would have been to push Justice League W
... keep reading on reddit β‘I got through half of them and was bored with it, but I heard Apokolips War is great. Should I go back and rewatch them all? Or is there a list of the ones that are necessary/really good so I can skip a few? (Btw sorry for the extra βareβ in the title didnβt notice that before posting)
Production costs are usually a lot less and the flexibility of the medium means that they could go back to well known and loved properties such as DS9 and Enterprise without having to worry about character ages or just give us other adventures in the Star Trek universe?
Hi all,
Recently got into the DC animated movies and was looking for some suggestions. What are some DC animated movies worth watching?
Google Drive Link I also uploaded this version to Plex Collection Posters. Just search for DC Universe. Two more versions are added to the Google Drive archive.

Is there a one?
Having just watched Wonder Woman Bloodlines, I've now watched every single DC Animated Universe movie from the continuity that started with The Flashpoint Paradox in 2013 and ended with Apokolips War last year.
Here's my ranking of them. Bear in mind that some of these I haven't rewatched in years but I think I have fairly strong impressions of all of them.
The rankings are based on a combination of how I perceive their quality, as well as my personal enjoyment:
So here goes, from Best to Worst:
Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox
The Death of Superman
Reign of the Superman
Justice League: Apokolips War
Justice League War
Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay
Batman: Bad Blood
Batman: Hush
Teen Titans: The Judas Contract
Justice League Dark
Wonder Woman Bloodlines
Justice League: Throne of Atlantis
Justice League vs. Teen Titans
Batman vs Robin
Son of Batman
