I'm looking for the name of a padded tool used to spread oil on a griddle cooktop used in the process of making crêpes, 煎饼, dosas. In French it is called tampon graisseur, in Chinese it is 油擦子. (They look slightly different but are similar.)
I want to buy this in America, and have been searching online for a long time, but don't know where to buy it or even what its English name is lol. All I can find are tools used to clean griddles, not for applying oil to the cooktop. Open to alternatives too, like if there are food-safe sponges or cloth applicators for oil that can be used on hot pans. Thanks!
