A list of puns related to "Countdown (2019 film)"
I just finished the horror movie "Countdown" from 2019. In this film you download an app, and it tells you when you are going to die. Not a great film, but this is beside the point.
In the film the protagonist gets a technical engineer to "hack" into the app and they find that the file size is 60.17 GB. The engineer then proceeds to find a list of everyone in the world along with the time they will die. It's inferred that this data is stored on the phone not on a server. 60.17 GB is nowhere near enough space to store this information, you would need approximately 123.2GB of phone storage.
Minimum Storage Requirements
Death Time: 32 bit Long (4 bytes)
First Name (average length 6): char array (6 bytes)
Last Name (average length 6): char array (6 bytes)
= 16 bytes per person
7700000000(world pop as of 2019) * 16 = 123,200,000,000 bytes
= 123.2GB
Ignoring this fact, even at the 60.17GB requirement the movie shows people downloading the app in a matter of a few seconds which is totally unrealistic even for the fastest 5G implementations.
Video compiles some of the most beautiful shots from movies this year set to a lot of the music we heard in film throughout 2019.
I thought this video was moving and reminded me how many wonderful movies weβve had this year. I still need to see a lot of these, but Iβm curious what you all think about the ordering and inclusion along with the movies themselves.

Itβs that time of the year and my wife and I are getting into the Christmas moves. As we rewatched Klaus from 2019, we were quickly greeted by the sound of Norm MacDonaldβs unmistakeable voice playing the role of the smart-alec, sarcastic, hilariously witty boat captain Mogens. I wonβt get into a whole tangent on the film itself, because itβs a phenomenal movie in every way I can think of and I think itβs going to stand the test of time as a classic Christmas movie. What I really came here to say is watching Klaus this year really hit me in the feels as itβs my first time watching the movie since we lost this legend and comedic genius.
If youβve never seen Klaus, check it out. I think youβll like it; Normβs character Mogens is hilarious and his performance really enriches the story. Rest easy, Norm MacDonald; he is sorely missed!
Buttt if its anything like the 2016 Berserk series?
Then yeahhhh I might lose interest...
In the film, the main character, Jack, is in an accident and when he wakes up, no one in the world remembers The Beatles. He also learns that Harry Potter, Coca Cola, and cigarettes are also gone. Jack is a musician and he re-records the Beatles' music and is a huge success.
But the rules of this universe don't make sense. If the Beatles and cigarettes never existed, the world would be a wildly different place. These things have affected billions of lives. Think about the couples that fell in love and had kids after they bonded over the Beatles. Think about soldiers that lived or died because they took a smoke break. The can of coke you drank when you were 9 set you on a slightly different life path. Image that times 7 billion.
In Yesterday, it feels like the Beatles were carefully, surgically removed from the universe. Sure, Oasis no longer exists and >!John Lennon is revealed to be alive!< but other than that, nothing has changed.
The only explanation is that these characters are not real. They exist in a computer simulation and the Beatles were deleted for some reason. Since Jack is a musician who just happens to know dozens of Beatles songs, he was probably left unchanged for a reason. The architects of the simulation probably wanted to see how the Beatles' music would be received by the modern world. Are their songs timeless or do we love them because of their personalities and history.
Saw this film last night and thought it was great the whole way through. It was off putting, and made me want to know more about the antagonist and where they come from. I had a feeling thatβs what I was getting into but didnβt confirm my thoughts until the third act of the film. I genuinely felt bad for the protagonists and almost felt I was there having to put up with this fake child to the point I wanted them to murder the kid. Has anyone else see this film and what are your thoughts? I loved when one of the antagonists broke through the veil and was treated to this trippy passing through realities.
