Cybinโs psilocybin oral dissolving film product, developed via a partnership with IntelGenx Corp. (TSXV:IGX) (OTCQB:IGXT), is expected to deliver faster absorption of psilocybin into the bloodstream. The trial aims to prove the benefits of this method, which is also expected to deliver a shorter duration of action and a lower effective dose.
I know a lot of people meme on destiny 2 whether its a decent game or not, but Destiny 2 has helped me in so many ways. Let me start with my job. I work nights in food, and I don't make very much. I work long hours, I feel constantly looked down on, don't have friends and my family is distant. There are many days I come home and want to end it all but I don't want to hurt my family. I instead sit on my computer and play this amazing game. I've met so many awesome people grinding out Night falls, raid/dungeons. While most of these new friendships superficial and have little to no significance or impact long term in life but it's certainly helped me stay positive for so long. This game has kept my ADHD mind plenty busy that at times I forget all my problems. Bungie, thank you. Also, a huge shout out to the community. You amazing guardians that have made my life a bit better deserve the best in life.
These students are great kids and have a lot of potential but itโs so unfair for the school to send them out into hospital APPEs so woefully unprepared. I feel like I canโt let them go out into the world knowing literally nothing clinical so I end up putting a ton of extra work into rotations teaching them BASIC SHIT. Iโm embarrassed to have them talk to physicians here because I donโt want the physicians to think weโre all like this. They arenโt going to pass the naplex!!! And if they do I canโt believe they will go out into the world of medicine representing my profession.
Iโm talking like, doesnโt know what guidelines to use for hypertension. Doesnโt know what covers MRSA. Canโt name two DOACs. Blown away when they found out lidocaine has anti arrhythmic properties. Doesnโt know how to find guidelines or the answers to the basic questions we ask each other.
What am I even supposed to do? Do I fail them bc theyโre unprepared or pass them because at least theyโre working hard and professional? Refuse to take any more from that school knowing their other preceptors will just pass them along so they end up graduating with a doctorate regardless? Write a letter to the accreditation board? Iโm so lost and so frustrated!
I just donโt understand how you can earn your doctorate knowing so little about your own subject of study ๐ฉ
Edit: people are trying to turn this into a retail vs hospital conversation. Like bro Iโm not holding a student to a lower standard just because they want to work for CVS. YOU STILL NEED TO KNOW THINGS. YOU ARE STILL REPRESENTING YOUR SCHOOL ON APPES. YOU WILL STILL BE PRACTICING ON YOUR OWN IN SIX MONTHS. Why the hell would I treat a student differently based on what their job plans are after school? What if those job plans change? What the hell is wrong with you people

Reddit Submission: The mechanisms of action of Ivermectin against SARS-CoV-2: An evidence-based clinical review article
The article The mechanisms of action of Ivermectin against SARS-CoV-2: An evidence-based clinical review article has been retracted from The Journal of Antibiotics as of December 21, 2021. The research was widely shared on social media, with the paper being accessed over 620,000 times and garnering the sixteenth highest Altmetric score ever. Following publication, serious concerns about the underlying clinical data, methodology, and conclusions were raised. A post-publication review found that while the article does appropriately describe the mechanism of action of ivermectin, the cited clinical data does not demonstrate evidence of the effect of ivermectin for the treatment of SARS-CoV-2. The Editor-in-Chief issued the retraction citing the loss of confidence in the reliability of the review article. While none of the authors agreed to the retraction, they published a revision that excluded the clinical studies and focused solely upon on the mechanisms of action of ivermectin. This revision underwent peer review independent of the original article's review process.

To give an example, in my clinic I've been seeing a patient for several months who is complaining of nonspecific severe weakness. She says she's weak 24/7 and its progressively getting worse. We've done several expensive lab and radiographic testing to no avail.
Last week I was out grocery shopping and saw her walking around. Completely fine leg strength. No signs of difficulty or strain. This week she came to my clinic again, and lo and behold demonstrated her usual weakness where she could barely drag herself into the clinic and up on the exam table. I asked her politely how her symptoms had been doing through the month, and she said there had been no improvement since October when I last saw her.
Legally, what if anything can I document regarding this? Is it okay to write โpatient was incidentally observed by medical staff at a grocery store and did not demonstrate any gross weakness from a distance, inconsistent with the profound weakness during her formal follow-up visit a week later and her endorsement of no improvement over last 2 monthsโ?
Or is that not allowed? And if so, do I just pretend I never saw this, and continue to work her up for something that I now know is probably not organic?
This is the typical conversation at this point, even among pro-vaxxers:
> Them: "The vaccine is available to everyone now, if you catch COVID it's your fault. Society needs to move on." > > Us: "Hospitals will be over run and many people will die, including those who did everything right" > > Them: "Well people who arn't vaccinated should not receive treatment!" > > Us: "This is ethically and legally impermissible and will never happen." > > Them: "Oh well"
I feel the healthcare community has been left out to dry
Has anyone In the history of medicine ever reviewed these photos ? How do you organize these knowledge bombs ? How do you locate a certain slide among the 1000s of images on your phone?
Edit: Isn't it standard in most conferences to have the slides available for download? Whenever I'm asked to give a talk I send my presentation to the organizer for distribution. I also have a QR code at the beginning and end of my presentation so people can download it directly.
Edit#2 Updating my flair to "old man yells at clouds"
So Iโm in nursing school and have my public health clinical rotation this semester. There are 60 people on my class and we are โrandomly placedโ into groups of 6 at 10 different sites.
3 months ago, my nursing school sent out multiple emails stating that if you are Spanish speaking, please reach out directly to them because there is 1 Spanish speaking clinical site that would benefit from Spanish speaking nursing students. Only 3 Spanish speaking students reached out and offered to be placed there.
Today, we got an email with our clinical placements. I was amongst the 6 people that were placed at the Spanish speaking clinical site. The group was composed of the 3 students that offered to be placed there as well as me and 2 other girls. My last name is Lopez, and the 2 girls last namesโ are Garcia and Ramirez. Our first day of clinical was today and the clinical instructor looked shocked and confused that us 3 did not speak any Spanish.
Iโm more than happy to be randomly placed anywhere for this clinical however after discussing with the 2 other girls, we are highly skeptical that the people with Spanish sounding last names all got โrandomlyโ placed at this site. Is this racially charged? Or at least wrong? It makes me feel kinda weird and just want your guys opinion on if this is appreciate and if/what I should say to the dean.
Even if I was Spanish speaking, it seems kind of messed up to assume that we would want to and feel comfortable volunteering that ability in a clinical setting?
I'm not proud to say I'm a high-school dropout. I was severely depressed and stuck in the same grade level for 2 years because I could never pass a single class. I have been really anxious to meet new people, but I'm starting to think it could help me get out of this slump and cheer me up. I've never truly had a friend I could completely relate with in school so I'm hoping this year will be a little different. So with that out of the way, here's some stuff about me and what I'm generally looking for in a friendship! ๐
Introduction/about me
Gaming ๐ฎ
>I play a shit ton of video games in my freetime, mostly on PC. I mainly play RPGS, action/adventure, story rich games, or literally anything. Recently I've started getting really into Breath of the Wild, Yakuza 0, Hades, Hollow Knight, and Skyrim. I also really enjoy Danganronpa and Nintendo titles such as ACNH, and Pokรฉmon.
Aspirations ๐งฌ
>I'm hella interested in science, mostly biology and psychology (I'm hoping to study in the field of psychology one day)
Anime/manga ๐ฎ
>I'm into generally popular shonen anime, more specifically, One Piece, JOJO, BNHA, and Beastars (one piece and jojo's is practically my life so if you're into it, I'd love to talk about it!)
Art ๐จ
>I'm a bit of an amateur artist, I haven't drawn seriously for a while but I'm doing my best to get back into it!
Youtube & TV ๐บ
>I watch a lot of stuff online on both YouTube and other streaming services.
>
>YouTube: I'll generally spend most of my time watching Dunkey, (early) Game Grumps, SuperMega, Nick Robinson, Jerma, Whang!, and so much more!
>
>Film & TV: Recently I finished watching a couple of shows, such as Hannibal, Killing Eve, Russian Doll, Black Mirror, Bojack Horseman, Good Omens, and Twin Peaks. I love The Umbrella Academy, but I'm not caught up yet. I'm also really into the MCU.
Culture ๐
>I absolutely enjoy learning languages! English and Spanish are both my native languages. Currently, I am trying to learn French while still at an extremely basic level. I also have an innate interest in foreign cultures so I would love to meet people all over the world!
Music ๐ถ
>Music I like is mainly Indie pop, Vaporwave, City pop, Electropop, Dance pop, Modern/alternative rock, and Chillhop. A few of my favorite artists consist of Jon Bellion, AJR, Mxmtoon, Joji, Melanie Martinez, Saint Motel and Jamiroquai.
What I'm looking for
