A list of puns related to "Cladding (fiber optics)"
In this example, where the lights enters the wire, does the cladding form an outer layer around the inner core?
Does the light go through the cladding then into the core?
Thank you.
So I see the most used fiber optics are glass and PVC which are dielectric. Does that mean for fiber optics to work being dielectric is a requierement?
Hi guys, Iβm about to relocate to Prague soon. I have spent time to look through Prague internet options (Vodafone, O2, pe3ny,..) but not quite understand as the information they stated on the website are very limited.
I want to find out if they are having fiber optic or just cable internet. Because when I check Vodafone βmost powerfulβ modem for example, itβs only has COAX port. But on the plan in the website, they are still stating it as optic internet (500mbps/1Gbps plan)
So is fiber optic available in prague or they are just cable internet that will get slowed at peak hour ? If optic is available, any recommendations for apartment in Troja ? edit1: Iβm looking for 500mbps-1Gbps
I gave them all the evidence with a statement from my plumber. They said they can't pay me any and refered to their legal department.
I am wondering if I should get a lawyer before doing that?
Does this mean I'm going to have to take them to court?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Are FC connectors becoming obsolete? I asked FS.com if they could make this with FC but they said it would be unstable.
Is that even possible? Currently using crappy satellite internet. Thanks for any help.
I was moving the router and modem around and the fiber optic wire came unplugged. Iβve been trying to reinsert it and get the same red light at βopticalβ on the modem every time I try to restart. There is a red globe and green wifi signal on the router.
Called and they told me they need to send a tech, but none are available for over a week. I canβt be without wifi in the house for that long.
Has anyone experienced this issue before or have any suggestions they can share?
Been using STC internet for almost 7 years now. Gaming, downloading & uploading has been shit since then with maximum 8 mbps. My area supports both STC and Mobily. I need your advices which should be the best one?
I'm a little bit of a rookie on this topic, and I'm not quite sure if this is the right subreddit to post this specific question to, but it seems the most applicable.
As of recent we installed an optic fiber internet connection. Since then, loads of sites and games are unavailable to me or take painfully long to load (which doesn't make sense given the connection speed).
We've concluded that these issues are linked to my desktop specifically. Cable on a different PC, laptop, or simply on phone WiFi all work as intended. Only my PC seems to struggle, and this is only on specific websites and games.
Some troubleshooting I've tried myself, none of which worked:
Does someone have any clue what this could potentially be?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Hello all! I plan on setting up a connection for my apartment with live streaming on Twitch and online games in mind. I am not sure which is the best in that category so I was wondering if yβall can give me some suggestions based off your experience of Japanese ISPs. Like what not to get and why not or such. Would appreciate any advice!

##ex-Nature Minister's $14 million bribery investigation reaches court | Offshore firms | Former MP | Mining permits
Anti-Corruption Committee: ex-Minister Aram Harutyunyan took $14M in bribes and laundered it. The scheme involved:
Ex-HHK MP Aleksan Petrosyan [aka MAPi Alik]
Harutyunyan's subordinate
Ex-director of Sevan Psychiatric Hospital
Two of Harutyunyan's friends
Harutyunyan was appointed as Minister in June 2007 and had decision-making power in the mining field. He took a $14M bribe from businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan to guarantee that she would receive a dozen mineral study permits. [this is the same businesswoman who is a key witness against Rober Kocharyan's similar bribery trial]
In January-November of 2008, the miner conducted the studies then transferred a $6M bribe via Harutyunyan's subordinate.
Harutyunyan received the other $8M via offshore accounts in UAE. They laundered it with the help of a volunteer friend Araks Dilanyan who used her account. She split the funds into three pieces and sent them to accounts owned by Harutyunyan's friends and relatives.
The friends and relatives then traveled to UAE where they partially cashed out the funds.
In 2010, the friends wired the remaining $3M to Harutyunyan's UAE account. He then traveled to UAE to cash out the funds and make other electronic transfers.
During the laundering, they used an offshore firm Tarasco (?) Investment Ltd, registered in the British Virgin Islands with a bank account in Zurich. Harutyunyan's subordinate used the same offshore firm to launder another $2M.
The offshore firm and ex-HHK MP's company "MAP" signed an interest-free loan agreement and transferred the funds to ex-MP's business accounts in Armenia. During the next several years, the ex-MP transferred the funds to Harutyunyan with small installments.
(this was not a tutorial)
Additionally, in 2011 Harutyunyan conspired with others to ensure that "Jradzor" small hydro received 24-hour access to water, while violating another firm's rights and causing significant damage.
In October 2018, Harutyunyan's friend -- the Sevan Psychiatric Hospital director, also a suspect -- bypassed Armenia's border checkpoint and illegally crossed the border. In November 2018 he used the Kazbek checkpoint to enter Georgia from Russia. He then fled to Turkey, then the United States.

As the title states can I use my previous modem for my FiiberOptic modem cable?
I used to have xFinity internet and I had my own modem instead of renting one out from them. I paid good money for it and wanted to see if I could use this instead.
The modem is a Netgear Nighthawk(AX6000, CAX80) 2in1 modem + router DOCSIS 3.1
I really like it and is super good for Wi-Fi.!itβs currently being used as the router but I was wondering if I could use it as a modem as well.
Thanks
How does it compare to cable internet?
