A list of puns related to "Chris Cuthbert"
Guy has called 21 of the last 24 big games including half of the Stampeders total wins, a quarter of Saskatchewan's, every single one of the ReDbLaCks, a third of the BC's, and every Montreal title since they rejoined the league.
He's even done 5/17 of the Argos wins and called at least one championship for every team in the CFL currently
I would like to see Dustin Neilsen join Glen Suitor on the TSN broadcast team.
Gord Miller can cover some games and Rod Black can also do a few, but are either of these guys really good enough to to something like the Grey Cup?
I like Gord a lot, I just think he's more of a hockey guy
Normally at this time of year we would be stuck with Dave Randorf or someone even worse calling the games. Really glad Chris made the jump over to Sportsnet! It's been a treat so far.
This is a question I've been meaning to get off my chest since I can't get their Maple Leafs/Senators regular-season commentary out of my head when I watch the NBC broadcasts of the playoffs.
Chris is the best, amazing to work with, but donβt travel with him. Itβs a nightmare π
On NBC.
Forgive me but this must give some hockey fans buncha throwbacks!
For those curious, Cuthbert used to be the "West Coast" play-by-play man for HNIC games before the lockout.
It must be so great having him almost every night.
I am so jealous, the Leafs get friggen Romanuk.
I wont say 'Go Sens' tonight, but I HATE THE BRUINS.
HE IS THE BOOKEND ON EACH SIDE OF THE DARK AGES; THE LAST HURRAH BEFORE THE FALL, AND THE DAWN OF THE NEW AGE
"AND THE TWENTY THREE YEAR WAIT IS OVER!"
SHOUTOUT TO RAY FERRARO TOO
Curious American asking my Canadian friends on here about whoβs calling the national Sportsnet/Hockey Night In Canada games? I know Jim Hughson retired a few weeks ago so Iβm interested to see if Iβve heard of his replacement.
I'm glad Rod Smith got to call the game. He's an O. G. TSN guy, but I don't really know how much experience he has for play by play.
I only noticed him doing the odd game a few years ago, and I was a fan from the start.
We all miss Chris Cuthbert, but I think Rod did great.
(a) βI've played with them for about five or six years now β obviously Henrik has a bigger head...their teeth are a little bit different, as well.β
Vancouver Canucks defenseman (and current Hockey Night in Canada analyst) Kevin Bieksa reveals how he's deduced the physical difference between Henrik and Daniel Sedin during a 2009 interview on Off the Record with Michael Landsberg.
(b) βI was skating down the ice and I hear this prisoner in the crowd calling my name. I thought to myself, who would I know here? It turned out it was my mailman from Sault St. Marie where I grew up! I guess he got into a little trouble back home.β
After the Detroit Red Wings played their infamous outdoor exhibition game against inmates at Marquette Prison on February 2, 1954, Red Wings forward Marty Pavelich mentions his surprise after discovering his childhood neighbourhood mailman was one of the 600 incarcerated men watching the game at the prison.
(c) βIs Pittsburgh near the ocean?β
Tatyana Ovechkin, a Soviet-era Olympic basketball gold-medallist (and Alexander Ovechkin's mother) asks then-Pittsburgh Penguins scout Mark Kelley if the city of Pittsburgh was located on the US coastline during pre-draft-interview sushi dinners in winter and spring of 2004. During these dinner meetings with Alex Ovechkin and his parents, draft-lottery-bound NHL team officials would quickly discover that it was Tatyana who held the vast majority of influence and decision-making over Alex's professional playing career.
(d) βDrive it right off his Fat-Face and in...beautiful.β
75-year-old Hockey Night broadcaster Bob Cole gets tongue-tied as he calls a late-game goal by Sidney Crosby in Game 2 of the Penguins' Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Washington Capitals on May 4, 2009; Crosby and the Capitals' Ovechkin both famously tallied hat-tricks that game.
(e) βIf that's the way your mind reacts, then we've GOT to [name our team] the 'Blues.' The publicity surrounding a lawsuit like that would be priceless.β
In a 1969 interview with Sports Illustrated, insurance tycoon and founding St. Louis Blues team owner Sid Salomon Jr. describes how he responded to his risk-averse lawyer regarding Salomon's own impromptu decision in April 1967 to name St. Louis' brand-new expansion team (awarded by the NHL just minutes prior) the identical name as W. C. Handy's famous jazz song.

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Do your worst!
It seems like itβll be a toss up between Kenny Albert and John Forslund since those two called the semi-finals. But since Mike Emrick will not be calling the Finals this year, who will?
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π
