I noticed in one of the videos of Daniel's place after he died that there is a 70s chord organ at his desk. That means he most likely was still making songs with it like in his early work. However, he stopped releasing music in this style after the 90s. Why would he do this? The only reason I can think is pressure from the record label. Now, if he was still making songs on the chord organ up until his death then that leaves two possibilities: 1) he didn't record them knowing they weren't "good enough" for release or 2) he recorded them and there is a potentially large quantity of unreleased Daniel Johnston music. Given how prolific he was in the past, I think 2) is probably more likely.
It seems like an odd choice, but works. It makes DS9 stand out from the other intros.
i actually recently got an old magnus chord organ but it doesn't sound quite the same
Also did other early man (other homo) have significantly different internal factors from us? (I.e different brain shapes, different organs, etc)
Edit: for example one human can be incredibly hairy, and the other hairless, but they would still have the same set of organs, the same brain, and the same vocal cords.

Look up magnus chord organ if you don't know what I mean. Jeff used one when he was recording by himself and it was also used by Daniel Johnston and many others. I have one that I got on ebay, but the probably is pretty much every one from the 70's is out of tune in some way. They're also cheap plastic with two prong cables. I would absolutely pay $300-400 for a well built modern day one that won't go out of tune, but it seems like there hasn't been a company making them since the late 70's.
