Alexa Bliss presented Charlotte with a doll, Charly. Charly looked a lot like Lilly, so it was a bit eerie. Charlotte rejected the gift and by the end of the night, put it in the trash. I can understand why Charlotte would not want to keep Charly.
Charly was in Alexa Bliss' possession before Raw. Alexa touched it and who knows what she did to Charly. Alexa could've had Charly play with her and Lilly before giving it to Charlotte. Alexa and Lilly could've shared their evil thoughts to Charly. You know Alexa and Lilly talked to Charly about Charlotte. This in turn could've led Charly to actually hate Charlotte and that is why Alexa wanted Charlotte to accept the gift of Charly.
It was smart of Charlotte to reject Charly and dump it. This could've been a Chuky scenario where if Charly is in Charlotte's home or near her, Charly can haunt Charlotte and scare her. Possible ramifications could be loss of sleep and this could affect her leading up to her title match with Alexa Bliss. I don't know if Charlotte thought about Charly being corrupted by Alexa and Lilly. If she didn't, Charlotte inadvertently may have saved herself from Charly's possible powers.

Hello everyone and welcome to our fabulous Album of the Year 2019 series, where every day members of the sub wax poetic about some of the brilliant records that came out over the year. Today, I’m stepping up to discuss power pop band Charly Bliss, and their brilliant sophomore record Young Enough.

Background
Charly Bliss is a New York power pop band, made up of Spencer Fox on lead guitar, Dan Shure on bass, and siblings Sam and Eva Hendricks on drums and vocals/guitar respectively. They released a few EPs in the early 2010s, including 2013’s A Lot To Say and 2014’s Soft Serve, landing slots opening for bands like Veruca Salt and Sleater-Kinney before even releasing a debut album, which is objectively kickass. With the band’s current lineup locked in, they geared up to record their debut album Guppy in 2015. However, the band chose not to move forward with the first recorded version of Guppy, feeling like the sound didn’t quite suit what they were going for. They “were really highlighting the aspects of our sound that make us a garage band, or a punk band.” Instead, the band decided they’d lean on the poppier side of their sound, and with a renewed focus they recorded then released Guppy in early 2017 on Barsuk Records.
Guppy was reminiscent of the often overlooked sort of power pop from the mid 90s, earning the band comparisons to acts like Weezer and Letters to Cleo. They’d struck upon a solid gold formula of tight energetic performances and effortlessly sticky melodies, topped off with the distinct and passionate lead vocals of Eva Hendricks. The album was a big breakout for the band, receiving super positive reviews from critics and earning them a ton of passionate and devoted fans.

... keep reading on reddit ➡I've been obsessed with Charly Bliss' debut album Guppy for a long time but recently I really dig it and want more albums like it. A friend reminded me The Beths are super similar and yes, great pick but those are the only two bands we could come up with.
They are both female vocal, power pop, grungy, and have like a wit to them that's both a little cheese but smart as well. They both also remind me a lot of my adolescence. The mistakes and the victories.
I welcome male fronted or any other gender too but I'd similar to the sound at least. Jeff Rosenstock might be a good pick too. But I'd really love some more powerful pop women!
Edit: Thanks for all the recs should have mentioned this is kind of my niche if you'd call it that I love female fronted rock so I know a lot. Still I hope this can point other people to some new bands they might like! I did get one I haven't heard CUB. Look forward to trying some releases I missed from some of these as well.
