A list of puns related to "Cassandra Clare"
I tried getting into the mortal instruments series but didnβt really like it,however I heard her βinfernal devicesβ and βdark artifactsβ series are much better,so is it possible for me to read them w/o having read MI first.Or should I at least watch the show? Also would you guys agree that CCβs newer books are better?
Thanks in advance!
Looking for a book that I am pretty sure is called Shadow Hunters (or something along those lines), but it is not part of any of the Shadowhunters series by Cassandra Clare. I read this book sometime between 2011-2013, and am pretty sure it was a standalone and not part of a series. The reading level would be around middle school-YA, and the genre was probably mystery or realistic fiction/fantasy. It had themes about the black plague and I remember a scene of children in a playground singing the 'ashes to ashes' song. I remember it being pretty dark for the age level. The main character is a teenage girl who I'm pretty sure is a readhead. The thing I remember most is the cover, it had the readhead teenage girl on it in a realistic drawing style (not a photograph of a real person) and the background was dark with the title and the author text in white. Everything I've searched just comes up with Cassandra Clare's books. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know! This has been driving me crazy for years.
Iβm sort of new to the fantasy genre. Iβve been reading for my whole life and a couple fantasy/sci-fi books here and there but iβve been on a binge for quite awhile now. Cassandra Clare is what started it for me but the more I read reviews and browse sub redditβs and other online forums I see people who really dislike her/her books. Same with SJM. I was wondering why that is? I totally understand people with different tastes but people really lay into them and I sort of think theyβre brilliant. Oh same with Holly Black but thatβs a little more understandable as her books are kind of weird (I love them).
Not looking to defend or argue just genuinely curious!
If you're part of the newsletter, you've probably already seen this, but Cassandra Clare announced the release dates of her next two books.
- Chain of Thorns will be coming out November 1, 2022
- Sword Catcher will be coming out April 4, 2023
Currently no ETA for The Black Volume of the Dead, The Ragpicker, or The Wicked Powers yet.
Cassandra Clare stated that Chain of Thorns is the first book to really be affected by the pandemic, since she was already in the editing stage of Chain of Iron when the pandemic hit. She wasn't able to do the on-location research she usually does due to travel restrictions and she wasn't able to have her assistant or companion writers around like she's used to. On top of all that, she had to help take care of some elderly relatives who couldn't safely leave the house. And like so many, the pandemic has taken its toll on Clare, as it has on so many of us.
Clare stated she's finally able to resume her work on CoT and things are getting back on track. Hopefully, the cover will be finished by the end of the year!
As well, you can follow along with The Secrets of Blackthorn Hall a serialized novel covering Julian and Emma's travel year adventures. A new part is added every Monday!

Hey guy! I reaallly want to read casandra clares books but I donβt think I can put myself through the incest! Am I able to read the other series without that particular one? Is the incest bad? The thought of it makes me sick but if itβs only in like one book I think I can overlook it
Well, I know there's a lot of books to the Shadowhunter Chronicles but let's just talk about the 6 books in TMI. Your favourite character, what you thought could've been better, everything. Your thoughts on it basically.
I feel it has an amazing plot, but sometimes the author stretches a few things too much. Also, I can never jump to a conclusion with these books. There's always something that happens out of your expectations. A lot of surprises. I like it. I heard there's a movie or a series or sumn, but I'm avoiding it because I tend to leave the books, and I don't want that to happen. Anyone who watched it AND read the books, how are they different? There's no doubt, the book would be better like any other book-to-movie situation, but still. Spill...
Iβve read TID for the first time years ago when Clockwork Princess was freshly published. Now in 2021, I sometimes randomly think about Tessa, Will and Jem and have this breathless moment when I remember how great their relationship has been. Itβs a piece of fiction, for sure, but Cassie managed to incorporate so many emotions, feelings, connections between these three characters that I am absolutely in awe everytime I think about them. Even more, I cannot help but sprout tears whenever I look back to the Clockwork Princess epilogue, then when I think on the reunion between Jem and Tessa, their relationship anew in a different century.
Tessa, Will and Jemβs relationship is such a complex one and extremely emotional. Itβs highly fulfilling in the way that so rarely it is in finction and in real life that the connection between characters is genuine. Cassie made it so by creating a perfect, although somewhat painful, experience to read. From Tessa and Jem loving each other back in the Victorian era, to Will and Jem having a parabatai connection far deeper than any other that has been portayed in the Shadowhunter Chronicles, to Will and Tessa loving each other and finding comfort in each other after theyβve somewhat lost a third of them (because thatβs what it is), and circling back to Tessa and Jem having their great love in the 21st century.
I donβt have words to describe the amount of love I hold for these three characters or for Cassie as sheβs the one who gave me this perfect three-way love. She showed that itβs possible (without creating unnecessary drama) that people can deeply love more than just one person at a time.
This is my rant about being forever touched by a fictional world, by fictional characters at a time when I was still developing my reading taste. So even though now I am not only reading YA anymore, Cassieβs Shadowhunter Chronicles will always occupy an important place in my heart and in my mind. Especially TID will always make me feel things impossible to describe.
I thought the writing was super bad when I read it and the plot was just silly. I like other fantasy books so itβs not like it wasnβt my cup of tea. It just wasnβt very good to me honestly. Itβs so overrated
I read a lot but I have never tried fantasy(except Percy Jackson and Harry potter) and I think I should give it a try. Should I start with Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare?
I'm not sure if this was asked on this reddit page or if Cassandra Clare ever answer this question..
If Jem never came close to dying or became a silent brother do you think Tessa would have still married him? Like would she just forget about Will??
She definitely was lucky to have both of them in love with her. BUT in my heart I feel like she would have married Will and stayed friends will Jem.
Does anyone know if Cassandra ever answer this question? Or better yet... What do you think??
