A list of puns related to "Cash and cash equivalents"
However, as soon as market closed on Mon Nov 15, the price started falling rapidly during After-hoursβ trading and upon checking I found out the reason; Clover Health Management had made an Offering of 35 million shares at $7.16 (Fridayβs closing price). Then on Wed Nov 17, they made a revised Offering of 52 million shares at $5.75 - $CLOV will receive $300 million less $15 million for the Underwriters (βbrokerβ). Of course shares continued to fall since then directly because of that Offering, that was completely out of the blue.
Furthermore, many brokers increased the margin amount from 25% to 100% on Monday, so anybody who bought shares on a margin account had to either pay the full price or sell at a loss. That is the reason for the continued fall on Monday and Tuesday (today). Also $CLOV still have not announced whether they got buyers for the 52 million shares as the Offering was due to close βon or about Monday 22 Novemberβ.
$CLOV had $588.7 million in Cash, cash equivalents and investments as of Sep 30, so they were not in urgent need of cash; I believe that the β52 million shares Offeringβ was an arrangement between certain parties.
I am not selling and just quietly observing the action; many Institutional investors and Fund Management companies had reported that as of 2021-09-30 (last quarter July 1 to Sep 30), they had either increased their shares and/or decreased or even closed their short positions. The Institutions/Funds who have control on at least $100 million funds are required to report via Form 13F any change in holdings or value of their holdings as the end of previous quarter.
I had researched on the 13F filings for the last quarter for almost all major holdings. Institutions/Funds do their own research before investing, so I am just going to wait and see what happens to the share price over the coming days and weeks.
There is no longer a likelihood that the price will double in a few weeks as the number of shares have increased due to the 52 million share Offering, but over a period of 12 months I expect the price to reach about $15 or so at least. It could also reach that level much sooner, IF several Institutions/Funds decide that it should. Also, those Institutions/Funds who bought $CLOV shares in the β52 million shares Offeringβ at $5.75 have an added incentive to see $CLOV price moving UP much sooner.
Clover Health announced the closing of the Offering. **Yes, they were expecting $300 million USD and they g
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hi all.
I'm trying to learn some fundamentals of financial accounting and starting with just learning about financial reports.
From my reading I had understood that by definition the C&CE line on the balance sheet would match with the end of year C&CE line on the cash flow statement (since the cash flow statement is meant to show where the change in cash on the balance sheet came from).
I'm looking at Apple's most recent Annual Report however (https://s2.q4cdn.com/470004039/files/doc_financials/2021/q4/_10-K-2021-(As-Filed).pdf) and the numbers don't seem to align as I expected them to (https://imgur.com/a/1P5H6GY)...
Could anyone give me some thoughts on where the missing $89M in cash is? Haha.
UPDATE 8/30: Thanks everyone for your opinions, and especially thanks to the ones who called me out as YTA. You helped me better understand his point of view, where he was coming from, and why he felt I was being unjust. Thanks Reddit AITA community, you helped me get perspective to be less of an asshole.
Going through an uncomfortable breakup and we're having a hard time seeing eye-to-eye on this. Itβs been 3 months and he wonβt move out until we come to an agreement, and I need to know if Iβm being unreasonable.
Hereβs the facts:
My ex-partner and I have been together for 11 years, lived together for 8 years, engaged for 5 years.
We are not legally married, never had a ceremony, and do not live in a common law state. We do not file taxes together, or have joint bank accounts, and do not have children.
I purchased a house for us to live in 7 years ago (I paid the down payment, my name is on the paperwork, I pay the mortgage, utilities, property tax, etc.)
During the 7 years, he paid me the equivalent $ amount to half the cost of my mortgage as βrentβ for use of a detached back unit as his office. The $$ amount is less than the average cost of rent in our area and what we were paying for a similar home setup when we were renting.
He put in what he calls βSweat Equityβ by building things, fixing things around the property, maintaining handyman type things, running plumbing/electrical, landscaping, etc. to create a home. He has improved the property, and has paid for supplies and home things out of his own pocket.
Big home repair and investments costs I paid for the cost of materials and he contributed his labor.
I am not selling the house, I have no intention of selling the house.
He believes: That because we were essentially married and he put in sweat equity to build the value of the home as an investment together, he deserves a portion equity of the value of the home (calculated through how much $ value equivalent he has spent vs. what I have spent).
I believe: I did not promise him equity in exchange for his work and no written or verbal agreements were exchanged so legally he is entitled to nothing. He paid rent, his tenancy is ending. I am willing to reimburse him for the value of items that he purchased that are permanently affixed to the property and cannot be taken with him, sold, or donated.
AITA? Does he deserve more than what Iβm offering? (Reminder, not asking for advice)
Looking through the financials after GameStop announced their earnings, this is what stood out to me the most:
βEnded the period with cash and cash equivalents of $1.413 billion as well as no debt other than a $46.2 million low-interest, unsecured term loan associated with the French governmentβs response to COVID-19.β
$1.413 billion in cash and cash equivalents. I have faith in Ryan Cohen to turn GME around and still have $1 billion in cash.
πππ¦ Buy, Hold, HODL, DRS, Buckle Up. I am in it for the long haul.
I currently have all my investing in tax advantaged retirement accounts. (Roth and 401k) I'm trying to slowly move my portfolio to a more safe and standard 3 fund portfolio. Right now about 10% of my holdings is cash in a Roth while about 60% is indexed in VT and S&p holdings (Voo + voo equivalent in 401k). Rest in individual stocks.
Should i be using a fund like BNDX for the liquid part of my accounts? Or is a cash holding fine? My reasoning is that in this unique market these positions are pretty equivalent due to extremely low to negative returns on bonds in addition to high inflation. I know cash in a Roth is also unfavorable since it's tax advantaged but I don't have the resources to put a bond holding in my normal brokerage account at this time.
I saw a recent post where poster frustrated with E*Trade was venting about if there were a special dividend, he better get that and not cash in lieu of.
That led me to the question in the title of this post. From my understanding since NFT is blockchain, and blockchain is accountable and trackable, it's impossible for there to be more than the 76M NFT tokens. That's the whole reason it would trigger MOASS, right? So, that is to say, if we lock the float, then the only shares that can possibly get the NFT are the direct registered ones, right?
I didn't want to spread any more FUD, but I also halfway wanted to shout it out to the sub if it was true. DRS is the way regardless, and in reality dividends are pretty small usually anyway, so the value of the NFT isn't going to be that significant, right? It's more of the novelty of actually getting it, yeah? Don't know if it would be fair to use the FOMO of not getting a NFT dividend to make people register more shares. I'm of the mindset to only put 80-90% into CS to leave some in the brokerage to sell the synths on the way up without giving away the registered ones. Wouldn't want massive amounts of people putting in 100% because then it would give loads back to the SHF when they're sold when it goes pop pop.

Following this news, shares have strongly broken above a descending triangle that has been forming since mid-October!
$ACOG.V is expecting to deliver top-line results of their ALPHA-1062 pivotal trial in Q2 2022. Theyβll also be delivering top-line results for their TBI and Progranulin programs in Q1.
This is exactly the kind of positive news I was looking for to catalyze shares into a break above the descending triangle formation. Looking for shares to take a good bullish run this week!
Shares of $ACOG are currently trading at $1.15 and the company is valued at $70.72 million.

I have zero knowledge of how NFTβs work or even what they are/do so I have a question if anyone with more knowledge could help.
If GS were to announce an NFT dividend we all know this will be the end of all the HFβs that are short GME. Iβve got a basic understanding of the Overstock crypto dividend they offered to try and fuck the HFβs but they managed to wriggle out of it and got a cash equivalent dividend and paid it out
Now, I believe GS will offer an NFT dividend at some point and think they are really trying to button it all up so there is no way the HFβs can get out of it with a cash equivalent.
Again I know nothing about NFTβs but if a cash value/equivalent were needed. Could it be as simple as GS listing X amount of NFTβs for sale on their website at a ridiculous price letβs say $10 million each, giving out the roughly 75 million as dividends for the shares outstanding and also giving short HFβs their option of buying this expensive dividends to give to their synthetics, which obviously they wouldnβt do as Iβm sure they wonβt want to buy 300 400 800 million of these NFTβs at $10 million each to give away
TLDR I think all of us Europoor apes need to be proactive and email our brokers to ask this question. Otherwise we will only be paid with a cash equivalent.
I have emailed Avanza in Sweden and asked and my twin brother ( u/Rat-Soup-Eating-MF) has asked HL and possibly Saxo. In the UK. We where able to get Avanza to change their stance on registering voting shares through a email and social media campaign. I have emailed Avanza asking how they will handle a crypto or NFT based dividend. We all need to do this to get them to be prepared. If we wait until itβs issued it will be too late and we might get stuck with a cash equivalent.
I can share my email if Needed
I tried to post this as a response on /Superstonk but do not have the Karma / age
Can someone please cross post in r/Superstonk so more apes see it
Hey all, so I have this card, but I really do not use it to the extent of its power, all I use it for is games like CS or Lol and Web Dev, so with the going price of them, I really am looking to trade it for a lower-tier GPU + some cash, or a Laptop of equal value not a mac as that It will end up having Linux on it. It seems like the going rate for them is about $800. I am the only owner of this card, it has never been mined on, or taken apart. I am only looking to do local deals. I am 14580, which is local to Rochester. Looking forward to making a deal so we can both get something more suitable to our needs. I can find the box if you would like me to, it is pretty ripped though. please comment before PM, or else I will not respond, thanks.
Open to selling straight out for $800
EDIT: CLOSED
Hey everyone! I've got an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Founder's Edition for sale. My initial asking price is $800 shipped or local, negotiable. The card has been used for regular gaming over almost the past 2 years, no mining. It comes with the original box and accessories (2 booklet manuals + DP to DVI-D cable). Here's a timestamp. Local is 22015. Willing to ship internationally. That means US, Canada, and anywhere else in the world where international shipping is allowed.
Alternatively, I am willing to trade my 2080FE for an equivalent MSI GPU: 2070S, 2080, 2080S, 3060, 3060Ti. Unfortunately, I'm not looking to spend any money on my side of the deal right now. So any offered card will have to be a straight-up trade or a slight downgrade for me with extra cash coming from your side.
If you've got an offer, please PM me! I'm willing to negotiate on the price and specifics about trade deals. Also, please comment before PM. PM preferred over chat (yes, they are different for those of you who don't know) but honestly either is ok.
I'm moving abroad and need something a little more portable than my current desktop. I'd prefer something under 5lbs with a roughly equivalent GPU, such as the Legion Slim 7 with an RTX 3060. Willing to accept cash offers and will meet locally, I think $1800 is fair but will negotiate. The full build includes 16gbs of DDR4 RAM, an Asus Prime Z270-A Mobo, a 1TB 7200RPM HDD, a Be Quiet! 600W PSU and a Cooler Master Hyper 212. timestamp
I've found since COVID happened my spending is going crazy. I'm thinking about something drastic like Dave Ramsey's Cash Envelope system. But, of course, cash is accepted less, and the potential health risks.
Does anyone have any similar tactics or COVID safe options?
What are some good etfs for a brokerage account that allow liquidity without loss? I already have cash in a bank account but wanting an additional layer with quick access if needed. I am thinking of taking a sabbatical or dropping to part time work for a while.
Hey everybody, let's say I wanted to pay less attention to my cash secured put position, or I get busy and not able to keep eyes on it. In the case of not wanting to be assigned, would the equivalent to a stop order be setting a limit buy-to-close stop order, designed to be triggered if the underlying falls to a certain undesirable price? Has anyone tried this with results? I'm trying to find an automated way to close a position without watching it or setting alerts. It seems to make since to me but curious if I'm missing something.
Ideally, I know I should only use cash secured puts on securities we wouldn't mind owning but I ask because I don't mind upping my risks for a possible higher reward on a higher priced security, while preferring cash sit safely in my account. Or is this a case of having your cake and eating it too?
I also plan to travel in a couple months and would hate to get out of the game because I'm not able to watch my position as closely. Thanks!
