A list of puns related to "Call center industry in India"
I worked a few odd jobs, and eventually landed a position as licensed loan officer for an online lender. It's fantastic money (for my age & experience), I'm on track to make $85k+ this year. I've constantly exceeded my sales goals and have really sharpened my soft skills in terms of building long term relationships with clients.
Hours range from 65-70 hours a week, but I'm fine with that. I have no kids and I'm single, why not work?
For some reason, after visiting Los Angeles. I just started to hate my job. I didn't want to sit at a desk and take calls.
It's a call center environment. It's almost driving me insane. I'd much prefer to face to face relationships or working collectively with a team doing things that are more analytical as opposed to salesly. Being on the phone ALL THE TIME is just not for me.
My assistance from you all is to provide me some direction on this transition. I'm looking to quit this job and go back to school full time. I'd like to finish up my finance degree with about 2 years left and transition to a more corporate sales/business development role.
Any tips/tricks about this transition and general life advice about where I'm at.
I'd appreciate that!
About 2 days ago India went on a country-wide total shutdown. This appears to have dramatically reduced the number of scam calls as well as the number of semi-legitimate telemarketing calls.
With a lot of first level call center support being outsourced to India, how will the lockdown effect the ability of the reps to man the phones?
I have never worked in a call center, but got intrigued by this sub because of unique experience with customer services.
My telephone provider has shoddy service. Money just vanishes from my prepaid account. And they usually have no explanation, they don't investigate. If i talk to the call center guy politely, they will just apologize and leave at it. But if I am rude and threaten to leave the service and pretend to be extremely angry, i am immediately given a refund. Such structures actually force customers to be rude. This practice is common in India. I found this across all types of businesses like food delivery, ride sharing.
It's a crappy system which can make some out of the nice guy customer. I just want thoughts on this practice. How common is this practice ?
45 minutes of that was spent by me trying to explain that 1200 is infact more than 1050 no matter when you pay the monthly installments
Thanks for taking the time to stop by.
As the title states, I work in a call center. I have 3 and 1/2 years experience as a cable tv/internet sales/customer service rep and within the last 6 months iv gotten into the timeshare business (yay for me -_-)
Have maybe 10 college courses under my belt, but have since taken a leave of absence since I have yet to decide what I want to do with my life. All day everyday all I do is think and worry about my future and how I would like it to be. Making $27k a year helping people vacation simply isn't going to cut it.
What I know: I love to help people, it brings joy to my life.
What I don't know: Where do I go from here? Career options?
People of Davao,
How would you describe the Call Center / BPO industry in Davao City?
Is the industry pretty reputable? Do they attract college graduates? Or is it typical na mababa ang tingin sa mga call-center agents?
How is the attrition rate sa industry? Is it typical call-center na walang nagtatagal or bihira ang nakaka tagal?
May mga companies ba na medyo okay ang tingin ng mga tao or yung medyo reputable kahit papano?
Your replies will be very much appreciated.

Hi Reddit! I work for my mother at Melanie's Florist in VA. We have been here for 7 years, though she has been a florist for 30 years. I personally have worked for a local call center, who has one of the worst ratings ever for florist and can answer any questions about call out center scams.
Oh! and we just started a new website and we're offering a 10% discount for all redditors, just use the code REDDIT at www.melaniesofhaymarket.com
