A list of puns related to "Brian O'Brian"
He must have just stood there in the transporter room for hours with absolutely nothing to do. Also if you ask me starfleet's incompetence puts their transporter operators at risk because they don't have armed security in every transporter room. We saw this in episodes like the hunted. So working in the transporter room was probably a risky job. But for the most part it was boring as hell. So O'brian must have spent a lot of time standing at the transporter controls with nothing to do. It would have been interesting if they did an episode from the point of view of obrian in the transporter room. It would probably be the most boring episode in the series. So what do you think. How did o'brian not go bored out of his mind.
Why or why not?
I've played DND for several years, but it took until this past April to watch any DND. I decided to start from episode 1 of the first campaign.
I don't know what I was expecting, but what I got was a lesson in friendship, creativity, and specifically accepting death.
The first time PC's started dying in battle, I would get teary-eyed. I didn't know Pike could revive people at first. I spent so long with these characters, and I was so happy they all made it to the battle with Vecna.
However, it's Vax that changed my life. Specifically, the way Liam played him while he lost his mother. Most of my family is starting to become sick and I have a hard road ahead of me. Liam was so brave to continue the game, and the Raven Queen seemed to give Vax a greater sense of purpose. DND is not therapy, but it can be very therapeutic.
When the Raven Queen made the final deal with Vax, I knew he'd be gone after Vecna was destroyed. I knew for several episodes, and yet, it still hit me so hard when he "walked away" a final time. It really surprised me. Even if you think you're ready, it will hurt the same when it happens.
Liam gave Vax so much life in his performance, and showed what bravery in the face of death looks like. That character arc is probably my favorite one I've seen in any media, and the end will stick with me forever.
Anyway, thank you to Liam and the cast of CR for everything. π€
Currently watching S1E2 and Miss O'Brian said, 'I'd rather be a footman than wait on someone who ought to be a footman himself.'
What on Earth was she on? Don't get me wrong, I understand that some people would be happy to be a servant but how could she think that Matthew, an upper middle-class lawyer with a good education and comfortable upbringing be a servant?
During the gameplay does O'Brian ever take off his headgear or does Deek ever see what O'Brian looks like?
I hope I'm not took off topic for the board. But I'm curious if anybody here has any fixtion reccomendations, especially around the American Civil War or American Revolution? The Aubrey-Maturin series has such great technical language and attention to detail. They have helped me learn so much about the Coalition Wars and I'd ike to continue with other fictional stories about different times.
Edit: thank you everybody for all the suggestions! I got plenty to keep me busy this winter!
Just for reference, obviously not saying Belichick should be fired, but here's when the others got fired:
Super Bowl Rings:
Does anyone know what O'Brian's own reference texts for sailing, medicine, etc. were? I imagine that within arm's length of his writing desk he had at least a couple of volumes of square-rigger seamanship and rigging, an old medical dictionary or textbook, probably an OED, etc. Now that he's gone, I'm hoping someone at least took a photo of his writing area for posterity.

POV: You are in the a world of Star Trek, in the far future visiting The Miles OβBrian Holo Statue. You just learned about quite possibly the most important figure in star fleet history. Write an essay with 3 examples explain why he was so important. (One example must be in Canon, and one example must be a made up, fan fic. The third can be either.)
