I recently got a notice from Cricket Wireless that my galaxy s8 plus will no longer be compatible with their network starting Feb. 1st. They are offering me a free upgrade for one of their budget model phones (a12), but I would rather buy another flagship model phone off ebay, such as the s9, and just sell back the phone Cricket is giving me. If possible, id like to sell the a12 phone as brand new/factory sealed on my ebay listing. Then, I can just transfer my current s8 sim card to the s9 I buy. If I do it this way, am I going to run into privacy issues with the sim card being sold in the sealed phone? Once I buy a new sim card, does it no longer attach my phone number to the sim card into the sealed box?
Keep in mind the Cricket phone will be sold as "network locked." The new owner of the a12 phone will have to have Cricket service for at least 180 days. But, if the new owner inserts the sim card, would they have access to my phone number or no?
It is impossible to boycott every single business that has ever slighted it's workers, but even if you just swap out 1 or 2 products for a new company that is hopefully less evil, then you've still done a bit to help.

EDIT / UPDATE: I got 2 of the phones last Thursday 1/6 and 1 shipped to my son Friday 1/7. Manufactured in Vietnam, 1 08/2020 and 2 09/2020. Flawless sealed factory boxes include T-Mobile SIM card. Batteries had no residual charge so started with performing a full charge - a couple hours delay.
I did all the setup with user's Google accounts on WiFi. There were, I think, 9 consecutive updates - security, features, and OS (A11). It takes a really long time to get through it all. I transferred contents of old V35+s (my son G8) using LG MobileSwitch. Again, it takes a long time but everything - apps, settings, phone logs, messages, media - almost all transferred. A handful of apps did not make it but they were not in the MobileSwitch app list so I needed a couple of manual installs. Finally inserted SIM cards and once fully registered with T-Mobile did their setup. Went through settings and customized. Will finalize with a SIM unlock after mandatory 40 days on network wait period.

I have an 01 1500 with 160K in it. I have a Fram filter on it and need to get a new one. I do not want to go with a K&N filter, but am willing to spend some money. I live in Northeast Florida and we have a lot of sand in the air and we do occasionally have some controlled burns in our area, so we have smoke for several days at a time.
I want to get something that does a good job with getting all the particulates in the air. I am not looking for something to give me a speed boost. I only drive about 5K a year and mainly use the truck for Scouts and hauling things around.
