A list of puns related to "Benjamin Harrison"

Cool fact I just learned. I wonder who will be the first president to approve over 1 quadrillion dollars in annual spending π€ Barron Trump?
I do not know to much about our centennial president. He seemed effective, yet did not get re-elected, probably to his lack of public persuasion. Was he good or bad, and why?

In particular, for calling attention to the power that collective bargaining provided Terry Farrell to prevent DS9 from using her image after Rick Berman was a creep to her.
Harrison wasn't really liked for his time nor is he liked now. Rather unremarkable and disappointing, but he does have pros that need to be remembered and not overlooked like they usually are.
DOMESTIC POLICY
Harrison was pretty progressive in this area. Unlike McKinley, Harrison actually pushed for a lot of bills and some actually passed. After the immense harm Cleveland caused to the nation in domestic affairs, Harrison fought to do what was right. He passed the Dependent and Disabilities Act in 1890, which allowed pensions of $6 to $12 for disabled veterans, widows and children under 16. The value of which would be between $169 and $338 in 2019, barely the raid on the treasury that the bill has been made out to be. Harrison was right to help his fellow veterans. He was also right to protect blacks. He attempted to pass a civil rights bill to help fellow blacks and always questioned the racists that were in Congress and the Senate. He also endorsed a proposed constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court ruling in the Civil Rights cases (1883) that declared much of the Civil Rights act of 1875 unconstitutional. None of these measures gained congressional approval. He was also right for signing the Land Revision act of 1891. This made Ben one of the earliest pro environment presidents. It helped to clean up air and it preserved the great Yellowstone. However, there was one big problem with Harrison's record. His reaction to wounded knee was a disaster. After some racists clashed with the Sioux tribe, Harrison sent in troops that just made everything worse and the massacre was prolonged. Overall, many Indians were dead with their children and family and their houses were burned down and destroyed. This was wrong of Harrison and he should have not been proud of this.
FOREIGN POLICY
Harrison did have a few little successes here, he helped to rebuild the Navy just like Chester Arthur before him. Harrison also organized a conference in Pan America but unfortunately it wasn't able to accomplish much. It was a novel idea however. Harrison also avoided war with Chile after it was at the edge of war. It was super close but Harrison avoided it with his stance being the same the entire situation. Chile unfairly attacked American sailors and Harrison in response criticized the Chilean government. Harrison's problems come in the layer of Hawaiian annexation and aggression in Canada and Haiti. Starting with Canada, he aggressively seize

This is the thirty second edition of my hypothetical presidential polling series. Use your alternative goggles to ponder what could have been Benjamin Harrison winning reelection!

You guys want me to be a bit more challenging so....
Your job is to make Benjamin Harrison (who's arguably one of the worst presidents) into one of the greatest presidents (top 5)! Since our greatest presidents went through a crisis (which usually means war), Harrison has to also go thorugh a crisis/war but make sure it's big enough to get him in the history books!
Bonus points if he is a top 5 president among Washington, Lincoln, and both Roosevelts and if he makes it onto Mount Rushmore!
I always rank him low, but really know zero about the guy.
Really interesting guy! His presidency was still kinda bad, I donβt put him in my bottom ten anymore though. His life outside office is definitely worth researching. His military career proves he was a brave person and my respect on him has grown. Oddly he had two children of former presidents in his cabinet. Thatβs one fact for you, he also appointed Frederick Douglas. A progressive leader with a bad economic policy and and mediocre foreign policy and a pretty good domestic policy. Is suggest learning about one of our most unknown and forgettable presidents.
The other day I made a post stating Hayes had the outright record at 20, but I was mistaken. He passed away only a little over a month before Cleveland took office for his second term, so he lived between James Monroe and Benjamin Harrison.
Grover Cleveland lived between Martin van Buren and Theodore Roosevelt. Harrison lived between Jackson and McKinley. And Hoover lived between Grant and LBJ.
Grant is the only one whoβs lived during 18 administrations.
Seven have lived to seen 17, including Jimmy Carter.
Benjamin Harrison always wore gloves due to severe contact dermatitis. Once, he began to scratch a rash that formed while meeting with Freddy Douglas while conversing about the upcoming mission in Haiti. For the rest of the day he wore rags around his hands. Thought it was kinda funny.
I've always consider him to be one of the worse presidents for his massive mismanagement of the economy. But what does everyone else think? Does he have any fans?
Do You Know This Week's President?: Benjamin Harrison, who established the National Forests system, the Sherman Antitrust Act to break up monopolies, supported increased education spending for African-Americans, and post-Presidency would be a representative to the Venezuela/British Guiana boundary disputes.
Discuss their pros, cons, and everything in between. Controversial opinions welcome as long as you can argue them in good faith.
