Ben spent three days dead before he came back to life, [ripping out of his body bag during his own autopsy.] (http://imgur.com/a/jlSMR) From there, he joined the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense, becoming commander of the Bureau's war against supernatural forces.
B.P.R.D is a team-based comic, which means Ben is one of several central characters, and often focuses on story rather than combat. So this RT is partly about how badass of a character Ben is rather than just his combat feats.

With Ed Skrein smartly dropping out of the role I started to wonder why are they even using this character? I assume they wants full BPRD team, but I feel like his character could possibly pull focus from Hellboy. That's why they never did Roger in the original movies. Plus I'm annoyed that he'd get cast first before Abe Sapien, who I think is a more important character.
Since they're starting a shared universe with the new Hellboy, does anyone think Ben might get a spin-off, in the way Abe was supposed to get one way back in Perlman days? I think he could totally get a movie.
