Elizabeth “Liz” Sherman is a pyrokinetic agent of the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense. After spending time in a mental hospital in an attempt to better control her powers, Liz rejoins the Bureau to fight alongside her love interest, the demon known as Hellboy.

Pyrokinesis

• Melts a crown in her hands
• Fills part of a building with fire, killing a swarm of fairies and sending Hellboy flying out a window
• It took her several seconds of concentration before she could do this.
• Inadvertently releases her powers as a child, creating an expanding dome of fire
• Fills her hospital with fire, making part of the roof collapse
• Blows off a reinforced metal door
• Engulfs herself in fire and makes the water she steps in boil
• Incinerates Sammaels along with all their eggs in the room, though this seems to make her pass out

Durability

• She and her clothing are immune to her own flames
• The fact that she is not burned by an object she’s melting in her hand implies that she is immune to heat in general.

Marksmanship

• Accurately shoots some flying fairies

Weaknesses

• In the first movie, she has trouble using her powers unless she is distressed, and has to resort to making people hit her. In the sequel, she has more control over her abilities and can use them at will.

Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

I confess that I don't really like matchups where characters use the same elemental power (although Miles vs Static is one of my favorites). So I thought I'd propose some matchups of opposing elements (fire/magma/lava vs water/ice, light vs darkness, earth vs wind, plants vs metal etc) as well as see what suggestions some others would

I do understand it might be difficult to do such matchups while making sure the characters have enough in common so don't feel too bad if your matchups don't have much of a connection either. To make it easier, you can try sticking to the medium your matchups are from (comics, tv, video games).
