A list of puns related to "Baikal Rift Zone"
I've been thinking more about the chemtech rift and the more I play it, the more questions come up about how the camoflauge zones work.
I think it's a little telling that not everyone is immediately able to understand the rules of the camoflauge zones, like do wards work here and do they do this? Can people see me from outside of the zone if I'm in the zone but my circle overlaps? I think these types of questions are what riot should be aiming to answer simply by experiencing the zones.
And that brings me to my suggestion, the chemtech smog zones should reduce the players vision slightly not as much as nearsight but somewhere in the middle. I think this both is significantly easier to understand and still fits within the theme of the chemtech rift. The idea is that the pollution is so bad that it has created zones where you are unable to see a player. So why does it give everyone invisibility and not as the theme suggests make it harder to see what's around you.
I love riot I'm not hating on the Devs I think they do a great job overall but my design thinking can't help it :)
I haven't noticed anyone mention this yet, but while you are in the camouflage zone in the Chemtech rift you deal 10% extra damage. There is a buff icon that appears when you're in it.
Also, and I may need to test this again, damage while in the zombie revive you get from the Chemtech soul seems to be about 33% less.
Just found that a LBS carries two Marin Rift Zone, one 27.5 and one 29, both of my size. It is sort of a rare FS bike under $2.5k nowadays. I know very little about Marin Rift. From the web it looks very similar to Norco Fluid 3, and the parts may be a little bit better.
Do you have any experience comparing Norco Fluid 3 and Marin Rift? Any suggestions between 27.5 and 29? Are they capable enough on blue trails (no bike parks)? How much more capable they are comparing to a HT XC bike, like Trek X-Caliber 29ers?
Those two bikes are 2021 models, but LBS used the 2022 model prices. How much differences are there between the 2021 and 2022 models, or simply the price increases?
The last question (added): For the same budget, should I get a HT hardcore like the following https://www.commencalcanada.com/meta-ht-am-ride-dirt-maxxis-2021-c2x34394943 or the Marin Rift Zone 27.5 1? https://www.marinbikes.com/ca/bikes/2022-rift-zone-27.5-1 I will most ride trails, almost no access to bike parks. I am upgrading from a xc bike. Any suggestion and explanation of the rationale would be very helpful.
Thank you.
Both are the most inexpensive FS MTB available in my LBS now. How to choose between these two?
Stance 29 2: https://www.giant-bicycles.com/stance-29-2
Rift zone 1 (27.5): https://www.marinbikes.com/ca/bikes/2021-rift-zone-275-1
I like the slacker geo in Rift, and like the service and warrantee from Giant. I heard some negative reviews on Stance rear shock and quick release rear wheel.
In terms of parts and quality, how would you compare the two?
I am a light/medium rider, about 1k kilo per year. Most ridings are on (blue) trails, around 130-150 m descent per km, but no big jumps/drops. Would the suspension (130 mm front / 120 mm rear) sufficient or even a little over-biked for the trails I am riding?
Any suggestions would be very helpful! Thank you.
OG rift zone: Has OG graphics and OG loot. Boss is jonesy with a mythic pump.
Neo rift zone: Has the high tech weapons from season 17 has low gravity, and a high tech shotgun. the boss is Sentinel with a mythic ray gun that looks different from the alien versions.
Tilted town rift zone: Has no build and break, also loot pool consists of only weapons with wood appearing on them. Boss is mancake with a mythic revolver.
Gotham has redeploy at will with the normal loot pool, but with the Tac AR, the combat shotgun, and the drum gun thrown in. The boss is batman with an INFINITE batarang, and the mythic grapple thingy. And it has glider redeploy at will.
salty has the regular lootpool with an NPC who sells an exotic suppressed Combat AR. Nothing else.
and boney has all the primal and makeshift weapons and Tarana is a boss there with a mythic primal flame bow.
the last boss eliminated will be the one to drop their mythic, and a keycard for the glitched vault, In the middle of everything with a no shooting zone inside and when opened, the door glitches away and other players outside will be blocked from shooting at the players inside the vault.
Now this could require a bigger map, more players max, and slower storm. The POI could be about as big as upstate NY.
Hi guys. I need to know one thing before i buy my next bike. I want to upgrade my old hardtail and get first full suspension bike. I will use it mostly for bike parks and flow trails near by. I am wondering if 160 mm front travel on alpine trail will result in this bike being 'too heavy' machine for a calm rides in super low demanding terrain - i usually have such once a month with my friends where we travel about 40-50km. I can't afford two bikes so i want to find a good choice for both.
Thanks for suggestions!
Rift Zones were bubbles that basically acted as a parallel universe inside, and had unique gimics and sometimes loot when entered.
Sideways Anomalies (ignoring how they're disabled now due to really big issues), used to be activated via a weird rift, which then expanded into a bubble, completely transforming the landscape, keeping only basic terrain shape the same but removing everything else. They remove your ability to build, give you a low gravity effect, give you access to new weapons via unique chests, and can summon zombies.
All of these extra effects were also effects of Rift Zones in Season X. Tilted Town removed your ability to build, Loot Lake (this was officially considered a Rift Zone throughout the entire season) gave you low gravity, Tilted Town had unique loot and the Borderlands Rift zone had unique chests, and Retail Row spawned zombies (albeit different zombies).
Everything about Sideways Anomalies seems to hint at them being Rift zones or something related
I live in a place where a Hard tail could do everything but want a FS for the small jumps, and really bumpy downhill mini sections comfort and stability. I donβt really understand what the difference is between the two?
MRI results came in and doc mentioned considering a FS bike. Didn't prescribe one; just mentioned it.
Truth is, I own a full-suspension Marin Rift Zone 2 but it doesn't have rear lockout, so for the majority of riding, I much prefer my Specialized Fuse Comp 29. My wife and I share both of these bikes.
If there was ever a time to upgrade to a bike even farther outside my league, now would be the time since I have a doctor's recommendation.
I'm eyeballing the Specialized StumpJumper Comp Alloy - looks like it has good components for the price point ($3500), plus rear lockout, and I'm an absolute sucker for the asymmetrical design.
Question: Would the StumpJumper's rear lockout (and other upgrades) be more convincing than the RZ2 to ride it over the Fuse?
Looking to build up an affordable FS MTB frame sze Large in 29"... If you have any suggestions on what else I should look at or where to look that would also be awesome thank you.

The upcoming event is referred to as "BUFFET" in the files, and includes an abductor (called "LuxurySupreme") with an action called "special descent."
There will be posters all over the map "advertising" it, like Star Wars and Travis Scott, but those textures have not yet been decrypted (or added) to the files.
The abductor will have 8 doors on it, with various abilities tied to each:
LOW_GRAV
PROP_DISGUISE
ICE_SLIDE
RIFT_TELEPORT
Been enjoying rocky trails lately and an opportunity came up where my wife supports me getting a full suspension bike around $2500.
The Stumpjumper ($2500) looks nice, but the reviews on their website are disconcerting. People donβt seem to like the SRAM/SX components. Iβve only used Shimano/Deore on all 3 other bikes and have liked it.
OTOH the Rift Zone 2 ($2200) seems to be well liked in the MTB world.
If your wife actually encouraged you to spend $2500 on your first FS bike, what would you buy?
When I got my Fuse Comp 29, I immediately noticed how stable it steers over roots and rocks.
When I got my Marin RZ 2 29, I immediately noticed how wonky the steering seems. Iβm trying to nail down the geometrical reason.
Basically Iβm constantly oversteering with it. Itβs sort of too easy to turn.
What can I investigate here? Any components that might be adjustable?
Got a new wheel the other day so I could upgrade the cheap shimano hub that comes as standard. Installed a 6 bolt rotor as the hub uses 6 bolt rather than centrelock, torqued it up, fitted the cassette and all seemed fine until I came to put the wheel back into the dropouts. It goes in ok but as soon as you tighten the QR spindle and close the lever this presses the caliper hanger right up against the rotor and means you can't turn the wheel.
The hub has the QR conversion end caps fitted but it seems that the ND side is slightly too short and needs some additional spacer. The stock hub has these silver spacers that are threaded and screw on to the hub and then slot into the dropouts, as these are threaded and the hub end cap isn't, I've not been able to try one of these on the end.
Has anyone got a Hope Pro 4 148mm Boost hub to work with a Rift Zone with 141mm spacing?

***UPDATE***
I've now measured the hubs and they are both definitely 141mm end cap to end cap (measured to the flat part at each end)... however, the old hub has these threaded spacers that screw on and take its overall measurements to 150/151mm .
Is it possible to just push the frame together more before tightening the QR or do I need some additional adapters?
The freehub was seated correctly but as I've now removed it I've got to mess with the green seal to try and fit that back in place , yet another issue! Fun times.

***UPDATE 2***
Also just noticed that on the drive side, the part the QR screws spindle screws into is threaded into the frame. When this is fully screwed in the frame it actually presses against the end cap of the Hope hub .. does this matter?

Hey everyone, I wanted to make this post as I ended up looking on Twitter that apparently Rift Zones from C1SX may make a return to the later course in Season 7. Also, I ended up screenshotting a quest that Kymera provided about as he talked about getting samples ready for the invasion. The places he said to gather samples from were Retail Row, Pleasant Park, Holly Hedges (now Holly Hatchery), and Lazy Lake. So is it possible these "Rift Zones" may happen in these places? Let me know what you think in the comments and I'll see you in the future. Goodbye!

I know it seems strange, but there have been leaks of some sort of zones being added to the game, like ice sliding, prop changing, low gravity, etc. But in a new loading screen, it shows Slone, Zyg and Choppy, and Joey in believer beach with the mothership having its central opening beaming Believer, and if youβve seen the props that you could turn into in that leaked rift zone, it shows lawn chairs, those scopes that could look into space (Iβm blanking on the name), and other things that can be located in believer beach

As you may know from other questions, Iβm looking for a bike that works for both my wife (5β 9β with a long torso) and me (5β11.5β)
Considering size Large.

Hi folks,
I have a question related to a bike i should buy... I am currently riding old merida from 2010 and i want to get first full suspension bike. Unfortunately the only bikes available at my town are Rift zone 3 and Alpine Trail 7. So a trail with 130 front travel and enduro with 160. So here i have a dillema which one should i pick. I want to use this bike riding mosty in bike parks or some flow trails near by. I can't decide whether 160 front travel is not too much - how will such a big travel affect less demanding trails? Will it make this bike a very bad choice for long rides in mountains like 40 km? Thanks for suggestions!
