I am seeing that there are acting communities everywhere but not one central source (Backstage is good for some things but not all). I want to be able to provide good information for performing artists (not scams) and bring them to the level they wish to be at. Whether you need the best headshot photographer, someone to make reels, make your websites, teach dance, teach voice acting, you get it, anybody to get you where you need to go.
If everyone here could take a survey for us, I would really love it. We are using it to see if the project is possible and we would like to know what we need to put in the app to make your life easier. Hello fellow actors, I was wondering what the best audition websites are for auditions based in NYC, mainly looking for tv, film and commercial auditions. I know of the big ones such as backstage and actors access, but which ones do you feel get you the most bang for your buck?
I’m a beginner actress (from UK) and I’ve seen a few free websites (eg. Project Casting) but they don’t seem to have much on them (before COVID as well). I don’t mind paying for a good one, what is your recommendations??

My family has run a home audio equipment store for a long time. Like most retailers, over the years, we've certainly noticed a drop in business due to Amazon. There is one solution we've been thinking about that might help us compete: allowing our website users to audition 1-3 headphones at a time via USPS.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this plan. Would you be interested in using this sort of service? What could we do to make it most valuable to you? Obviously we would require a credit-card authorization for security's sake but as long as the headphones are returned to us there would be little to no charge (maybe a small membership fee to cover shipping?).

I check the musicians section in craigslist pretty regularly and have done so for years. Sometimes I see some good opportunities and it's how I found the cover band I'm in now, but I've got to believe that in 2019 there are some better options now.
Personally, I'm trying to make an effort to play at least semi professionally, so I'm looking for things like wedding bands, jazz groups, or established cover bands or bands that play original music.
