This is a lengthy noun explanation and background knowledge introduction about the coming SS in CN - Invitation to Wine.
There may be a lot of content from wikipedia and some proper nouns are italic, apologies for the inconvenience that you may have to look them up one by one. (especially poems)

>!I believe after Who is Real, this event will make translators cry again because it's tightly related to Chinese poetry.!<
The first letter of a Pinyin syllable is capitalized for QoL purposes.
Sorry there will be no pics in this post, or else this would seem too lengthy.
Hopefully this is a good read. (my first language isn't English, sorry for the strange word choices)
It's basically a tourism ad introducing the culture of Shangshu.
"ε°θ"(ShΓ ngShΗ) is a mobile city located in central Yan, known for its scenery and food.
"θ" mainly refers to the area of Sichuan Basin, and in some senses, including Hanzhong Basin. In modern day China, "θ" is an abbreviation for Sichuan province(εε·η). (though "ε·" is used more often)
I'm not quite sure about what "ε°" means here. "ε°" itself has the meaning of "to esteem, to value", yet it could only be a rhyming word.

The bottommost comment says "It's said that she's fired from Dossoles", Eureka reacted by laughing awkwardly and saying sth like "not understanding what you're talking about".
She then slipped her tongue mentioning "this is my new job".

Eureka says Shangshu people are straightforward, generous, and value friendships lifelong.
Yet the comment says that grudges are held lifelong too, then the comment is deemed by Eureka to be too extreme.

"ζ―θ‘ζΊ"(MΓ‘oXuΓ¨WΓ ng or MΓ‘oXuΔWΓ ng) is a specialty in Sichuan cuisines, having a bright red color and being spicy and mildly numbing. It's made from pig's blood, tripe, duck's blood, ham and chicken gizzard. Beansprouts, chili, Sichuan peppercorn, sesame and other spices are often added as seasoning.
Eureka recommends that extreme spicy Maoxuewang is a must-have. >!I personally don't think having extreme spicy straight is a good choice.!<

I enjoyed this gourmet feast on a tray in front of the T.V., because Terminator 2 was on. I tell you this so that you will understand that I am not, in any sense, a part of the high-end food world.
My fiancΓ©, on the other hand, was. Rosalie self-identified as a βFoodieβ (ugh) and slept with a copy of βSalt Fat Acid Heatβ on her nightstand. She was constantly scouring local markets for the freshest ingredients and newest combinations. She didnβt mind ingredient lists a mile long or dishes that took time to make; cooking was her Zen, and the kitchen was her temple. That meant, of course, that we also had to make holy pilgrimages to the hottest restaurants.
I didnβt share my Rosalieβs passion for food, but we shared just about everything else. Different as we were, we were both willing to learn and grow, together. Iβve never had that with anyone else, and I wonder if I ever will again. You see, my fiancΓ© Rosalie died a few months ago.
I was a mess for weeks after. I soon realized I needed to say goodbye to Rosalie in a way that a closed casket and a few hollow words hadnβt provided. I decided to try an experience that had been Rosalieβs last obsession: eating at a dark restaurant.
If you donβt know, the concept of a dark restaurant is that by depriving the diner of their sight, they are able to focus more fully on their sense of taste. Some say it's gimmicky, some say it's science. I just thought it might be a way to find closure and move on with my life.
The only βdark restaurantsβ I could find were hundreds of miles from the mid-sized city where I lived. Not only that, but a lot of them looked incredibly expensive and pretentious as well. If thereβs one thing I learned visiting taco trucks with Rosalie, it was that price was no guarantee of quality. Not only that, but often the restaurants that focused the most on appearances cut corners in other areas--like treatment of the staff, for instance. And stressed, underpaid workers often cut corners themselves, just to get through the day. Rosalie used to say that some places were so toxic you could feel it as soon as you walked in the door.
Taking care of Rosalieβs old belongings was hard. I sorted through her stuff a little at a time--partly to lose myself in the memories, partly because I didnβt have the stomach for much more. I knew that once Iβd sealed up

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
My family and I just went on a nice little trip to WDW, so I figured I'd give a trip report from the perspective of a husband and a dad of 2 boys (6,3). This was a pretty big deal for us, and we did a lot of stuff in a short amount of time, so I thought it might be interesting. We did a 6 night split stay trip at All Star Movies and the Dolphin Resort (3 nights each). We added Genie+ for all 5 park days that we had, and I'll try to highlight how that went. The cost for the 4 of us for the 5 days of just Genie+ was about $320 after taxes. Warning, this got really long, sorry!
Day 1:
We flew into MCO and arrived around 2:30, and we were picked up by Quicksilver Transportation (not an ad, just someone my wife found on the TouringPlans forum). Our driver was ready for us, and very patient with our need to go get our stroller from complete opposite end of the airport before heading to get a few groceries and heading to the resort. We checked in through the app and were assigned the a room in the Toy Story hotel area as we had requested. The boys loved the giant characters, blocks, and general vibe of the Toy Story area. We checked out Woody and the gang for a bit before heading to our first dining reservation of the trip, Chef Mickey's
Chef Mickey's: We visited this location right before the Covid shutdown in March of 2020 (like, the week before, we went from March 2nd-5th of 2020), back when it was a buffet style. All things considered, I enjoyed the food much more this time. The family style all you can eat offerings seemed to be a better style for this restaurant. The kids got plates with chicken tenders, mac and cheese, corn dog nuggets, etc, while the adult offerings were more diverse. There was a salad course, followed by a decent prime rib, salmon, gnocchi, potatoes gratin, faro fried rice, roasted turkey, and some asparagus. The desserts were also an improvement over last time, with some great little treats that were perfect finishes. The biggest disappointment was the peppermint cocktail that tasted more like mouthwash than alcohol. Definitely not worth the price for that. This is an expensive meal, but our oldest fell asleep last time before dinner, and didn't get to ask Donald to "shake his tailfeather", so we wanted him to get that experience before it was too late. The characters were great, even as they socially distanced. Most people were respectful of the rules, but some still tried to get their kids next to the characters, which is a b

Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?
Two muffins are in an oven, one muffin looks at the other and says "is it just me, or is it hot in here?"
Then the other muffin says "AHH, TALKING MUFFIN!!!"
Just a quick recap of that last 3 years. I was 325 and barely mobile. My knees were horrible and I could barely walk in the morning. My A1C was at Type 2 diabetic levels. I did Keto/CICO and lost over 100 pounds! I felt like a new man and my A1C was normal.
Then covid hit, lost my job, got depressed, ate shit tons of food, mostly candy and other crap. I gain most of it back. I felt miserable every day. I just wanted to sleep. I was angry all the time to the people closest to me. Then I remembered how good I felt before.
I was at my son's football game and could barely go down the grandstands. I was exhausted from the walk to the game. I remembered how I hopped down those same stands just a while ago, and now I have to use the rail to walk down, dreading the walk to the car. After nearly a year of self pity, depression, and pleading from family, I just, stopped.
I stopped eating crap, went back on keto/cico, and stayed there. I am now in week 4 now and I am down A LOT. I not sure how much since I was too depressed to weigh myself that first day, but I am guessing about 30 pounds. I know that was a lot of water weight and I won't go into that. I want to talk about how I feel.
Within a few days, I felt--myself. I was not nearly as cranky. I slept better. I felt a spring in my step. My wife and kids noticed a change in my personality. I was less "foggy". Fast forward to today and I feel great. I can walk down stairs without clinging to the handrail. I even run down them. That few pounds of weight, plus what I KNOW was high blood sugar, set me in the right direction.
Yes, I miss junk food. I miss eating 2 bags of fun sized snickers. I miss donuts and pizza and pasta and the 5000-9000 calories I shoved in my face every day that lead me back to gaining it all. But I do not miss it enough to go back. I'd rather watch my kids eat pizza and eat a salad. I'd rather go out to dinner and eat vegetables (and pay $20 for the privilege. Seriously, I just spent $20 for 2 bucks worth of veggies!) and watch the people with me try to coax me into a huge steak with a chicken wing appetizer.
I miss all of that, but not enough. I know my personality, and I am either on or off. Either I eat healthy or I eat like crap. So my choices are to eventually die alone surrounded my Ho Hos, hot pockets, and self-pity, or to live, and live happily.
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies π

Hi yβall,
Sorry if the formatting is weird, Iβm on mobile.
Iβm looking for help deciding whether to purchase Boros Burn or to revitalize my slightly outdated Ponza/Gruul Midrange deck.
My first experience with Modern was playing Mono-Red Phoenix back when Hogaak was ripping through the metagame. I loved that deck, and played a shit ton of it. When looting was banned, I took a break from modern until this summer.
Over the summer I bought into Gruul Midrange (in paper), and I did fairly well with it. Although I wasnβt able to play it as much as I would have liked, I loved the basic play patterns (mostly playing stupid 3 drops like Blood Moon on turn 2 and cascading into cool stuff with BBE), and adored how the deck felt unique but powerful.
However, it would seem the meta has shifted and not exactly in my favor. Looking at the top decks with MTG Goldfish, it appears Wrenn and Sixβs are a must, and Force of Vigors for the board too. A lot of decks were running Ragavan, but it seems like theyβve shifted to a slower approach as Ragavan hate is all the rage these days. Doesnβt really matter, only thing that is important is that optimizing it would be like $300.
With that $300, I could also buy Boros Burn. I have some cards for it from my Phoenix deck, and it appears to be a more dominant deck in the metagame, as well as much more established compared to the shifting lists of Gruul Midrange. Iβm confident I could pilot burn more accurately quicker than the new Gruul list because of my experience with Phoenix, and from watching certain streamers. I do lean slightly spiky, so the idea of winning does seem appetizing if the deck is putting up more results.
Any insight, advice, or helping me through the process would be great!
TLDR: Split between Gruul Midrange and Boros Burn, would love help being guided through my decision a bit.

My daughter (15) and I each had several Airline credits from 2020 Covid cancellations that needed to be used by the end of February. I kind of realized this late and in mid-December we decided to book our first ever trip to Disney World**.** We have been to Disneyland many times, but never Disney World. We both already had other days scheduled off for vacation, so we didnβt have a ton of extra days to take off of work and school. This was going to be a quick trip and we wanted to make the most of our time in the parks.
We decided to use all of our 2020 Airline credits for First-Class round-trip tickets to Orlando, departing Thursday, January 13th and returning Monday, January 17th. Since my daughter had never been to the Atlantic Ocean, we also wanted to take 1 day and drive to the Atlantic Coast. This left us with 2 park days, Friday and Saturday.
We booked our stay at Disneyβs Beach Club Resort. We wanted to be close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We also wanted early entry to the parks. There were no moderate resorts available at the time of my booking. There was one value hotel, I canβt remember which one, but it seemed far from the parks and only offered bus transportation. There were a few other deluxe resorts available, but all were pricier than the Beach Club Resort, so Beach Club it was.
We usually βgo hardβ when we visit other theme parks: Disneyland, Universal Hollywood, Knottβs Berry Farm. We start early and finish at park close, hitting as many of our favorite rides as we can each day. Since we go hard in the parks, we do enjoy a true sit-down dinner on those days to relax, catch our breath and re-energize.
Below is our trip report. Some of the times listed may be off by 5 minutes or so but everything is close to the actual times.
Thursday β Travel Day. Flew out of Phoenix in the afternoon and arrived in Orlando at 1030pm. We grabbed our luggage and quickly got an Uber to the Beach Club Resort. We proceeded directly to our room (2 queens), checking in through the Disney app, no trouble at all. Our room was lovely. We had a balcony with 2 chairs and a small table overlooking Crescent Lake. The hotel and room were both cute. I loved the view from the balcony. Overall, I was happy with my selection. We were still βantsyβ from our trip, so we went down to the beach for 15 minutes to sit on the swing chairs while I had a cocktail. After that, we went to bed to get rested for the following days.
Friday - Hollywood Studios & Epcot

And boy are my arms legs.
Heard they've been doing some shady business.
We got married in Nashville, TN on 11/6/21 for about $23k with 70 guests. We were originally scheduled to be married in 2020, but had to postpone to 2021 β we did a mini-ceremony in 2020 to get legally married. Iβve tried to cover the big budget items below. We were lucky enough to receive an enormously generous gift from my parents which covered the entire cost of the wedding. Originally we were hoping for a budget of $15,000, but then settled on a budget of $20k. From the time when we got engaged in 2019 to the time of the wedding in late 2021, our financial situation had improved (my husband got a new job with a much better salary), so we felt comfortable stretching that budget more to cover a few more things. There are definitely some items that we just paid for out of our βregular budgetβ and never ended up on the wedding spreadsheet, so the real total would be a little higher. We found almost all our vendors through a local wedding Facebook group.
Ceremony venue β $2600 β This includes the fee for the building rental, officiant, and organist. This was a large, unexpected cost. We both wanted to get married in a church although weβre not very religious, both to please our parents and just for the aesthetics/cultural significance. The church provided two wedding coordinators who directed us and made sure everything was done on time for the ceremony, which was very helpful. It also freed up my DoC to be setting up the reception during the ceremony.
Reception venue β $2380 β This includes rental of tables and chairs. I LOVED our reception venue, and I honestly think itβs underpriced for the area. Itβs a huge empty room inside an old car factory thatβs been converted into retail space and a museum. Itβs got beautiful brick walls, wooden floors, and a fantastic view of downtown. The one downside is the elevator β itβs on the third floor, and when we signed up for the venue in 2019 they were in the process of putting in an elevator, so we were sure it would be finished by the time we got married. Unfortunately it wasnβt. Luckily we did not have anyone with major mobility problems, so we didnβt have to change venues, but it was a frustrating situation.
Catering β $6413 β This includes rental of dishware, labor, and linen rental. The caterers were my husbandβs idea, and they were a huge hit. We used a local Southern restaurant that has a catering department. I was worried that things would look sloppy o

My SIL (Ashley) is, for lack of a nicer word, obnoxious. She constantly does whatever she wants, even when you ask her not to. She thinks she's right above everyone else, even when she's dead wrong. And she's just got this very stereotypical baby sister attitude where she acts like she can do whatever she wants and nobody is allowed to be mad at her because "she's baby!" (yes that's something she regularly says). My husband says she's the youngest of their family so her acting that way is normal. But I pointed out I'm the youngest of my family and I've never acted that way. I don't like SIL but I've been polite and kept a peaceful relationship for my husband's sake.
Until today. Today was the first time since 2019 that my husband or I have been able to see our small friend group in person. We all got our shots 2 months ago and decided to meet up finally for dinner. I cooked while our friends either pitched in ingredients, made appetizers, or brought wine. I made pasta ravioli by hand, which was HARD. I made enough for me, hubs, and our friends. But after they arrived and we all caught up while I was finishing the food SIL showed up. She let herself in and greeted everyone happily. They know her and said hi, but I subtly asked Hubs what she was doing here. Turns out he'd mentioned the gathering to her and he guessed she assumed she was invited? I told him to tell her to leave, because she can't just invite herself like this. He said that would be humiliating for her and asked if she could stay. I was annoyed but agreed.Things were fine at the start, I had a few sips of wine to relax and was about to plate everyone's food at the kitchen island and bring it to them but forgot parmesan so went to get it. I heard SIL say she'd help bring the food to the table, I said no thanks and to stay seated. My back was to her and she said something I missed because of the loud CLANG of a pot hitting the floor. I heard everyone gasp and I closed my eyes. I knew what happened but didn't want to look. When I did I just started crying. HOURS of work splattered

Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.
