About Chinese Cosmetics (brands, regulation, trends, animal testing)

Hello everyone! Hope you are doing well.

I'm learning about Chinese makeup, skincare and haircare and curious about mainstream and indie brands. From this sub, I only know The Forbidden Palace Makeup line, Huaxizi, Perfect Diary, Pechoin, Inoherb, and some cool brushes from Qinzi and Shou Shou Lang.

I also want to know more beauty industry on China. China is growing day by day with sophisticated technology and human's power, and from that I assumed it affects beauty industry on there too. I rarely found positive things about Chinese cosmetics news/reviews on internet in general, only about downgrading it. Chinese makeup products are associated with duplicates, questionable/dangerous ingredients, and animal testing.

If anyone know makeup/skincare brands from China (both mainstream and indie brands), regulations, animal testing, trends, please drop it below. Thank you so much πŸ₯°πŸŽ¨πŸ–ŒοΈ

Animal testing should be way more aggressive with way less regulation. People first, period.

Monkeys, rats, pigs, fuckin dogs, torture them all do death if it helps save human lives. Boil tiny kittens to death slowly if it helps us learn how to treat burn victims. Rip the eyes out of pigs and see if we can figure out how to reattach them.

People are the priority, 100 percent of the time, no exceptions.

New testing regulations and future travel

With PCR tests no longer available to the general public, and no way (that I know of) to properly report and log rapid test positive cases, will there be an issue with travel in the future?

To my knowledge, one could test positive for the virus on a PCR test weeks or months after recovering. Without properly documented testing and recovery times, won’t many people still test positive when attempting to travel even though they recovered long before?

Has the government said anything about this yet?

Regulations on keeping large animals

Hello everyone!

Does anyone have any information on what regulations there are in Switzerland regarding the keeping of large animals? I know that animals have to be kept in pairs for welfare sake but beyond that I'd like to know more specifics about if I'd need a certain qualification or certificate to keep animals like donkeys, horses, cows, sheep, goats, etc.

To be clear they would not be farmed, this is more along the lines of an animal sanctuary.

Thanks!

Edit: This would be for cantons Aargau/ Solothurn/ Basel Land if it makes a difference

Animals testing positive for amphetamines (reading this might help you)

Small little yappy mix dog, 6lbs. Comes in bouncing off the walls, tachycardic, hypersalivation, …. We do a drug screen.

This tiny dog tests positive for meth/amphetamines.

This is the second time the same dog has come in presenting the same way.

Owners are a mom, grandma, and young child.

Here’s my backstory a little: I was hospitalized. Almost died. I tested positive for amphetamines and my doctor calls me up yelling at me that I’m not taking my health seriously (I have a lot of heath problems). She said I’m doing meth and I’ll never be healthy and I’ll die.

She didn’t read my medical record because if she did she would realize that she and my other doctor prescribe me adderall (amphetamine salts). So yeah I tested positive for amphetamines, duh. I have since fired the shit out of that doctor.

Back to the dog:

I was racking my brain… this single mother, sick grandma, and hyperactive child…. Who is doing the meth?!!

Then it clicked.

We called the owner and confirmed the kid is on adderall and has been giving his pills to the dog instead of taking them. Adderall XR, so this dog will be bouncing for the next 10 hours.

We saved that dog a lot of pokes, tests, and other shit. Fluid therapy and meds and just waiting out the amphetamines and detangling the dogs line every 10 minutes.

I wanted to post this so if there are others in a similar scenario we can help our patients and clients to the best of our ability

Edit: 30mg Adderall XR in this 6lb teacup bichon yorkie mix thing I have since been told the dog has now come in 6 times with the same shit. Talk about job security….
