Aneurysmal bone cyst Puns

Maybe I’m just paranoid but i’m getting a little worried, especially since I don’t know if the pediatric hospital I got my surgery at would even have my records and history anymore since it was so long ago, if something were to happen and my tumor came back… I mean I can fill new doctors in the best I can but when it comes to this stuff I’m so out of my element since my parents took care of everything then.

Does anyone have any advice?

Female 38, 5'4", 12 stone. Smoker. In the last year, I have developed a very odd condition. It mainly presents in my hands, but also feet and legs and arms. I feel a searing burning sensation and sharp stabbing pains. The area swells and itches like fury. It makes my hands look arthritic. But there is no rash/raised skin. It never breaks through. The feeling of pressure is so painfully intense that eventually I tried using a pin, and it seems that I have cycsts along the bones in my hands which come and go, and accumulate in a large swelling. Bursting them with the pin causes a lot of damage and pain, but by comparison is still a relief. For about 3 years prior to this, I had all the symptoms of an eczema condition which affects hands and feet - tiny itchy blisters on the surface of the skin. I very rarely experience this now. I don't believe it is the same condition as its entirely under the skin and close to the bone now. It feels like fire and is making me utterly miserable. TL;Dr what is causing these apparent blisters along the bones and around the joints of my hands and feet (and sometimes - more and more often - my arms and legs)

35/Male/Hawaii (location is important)

Findings (direct from MRI report): The scapholunate ligament and the lunotriquetral ligaments appear intact and there is no widening of those joints. The articulate cartilage is grossly intact in the radiocarpal joint and in the intercarpal joints. The triangular fibrocartilage appears intact with no evidence of a tear. There is a lobulated fluid collection located on either side of the articulation between the triquetrum and pisiform. It is unclear whether these are interconnected. The appearance is consistent with a ganglion.

I’ve been dealing with pain (sometimes severe) and limited range of motion since January. I did PT for a month (so I could get the MRI) and that seemed to help a bit.

I finally got an MRI a couple months ago and was referred to an orthopedic doctor at the end of August. She essentially told me she couldn’t help me and never should have been referred to her because the cyst was not protruding from the wrist (she said they normally just drain them). She said she would be concerned about causing lasting damage from the surgery if she attempted it—makes sense.

She told me to have my doctor refer me to this hand surgeon that comes to our island once a month. I live on Maui, so options for care are limited. After a lot of back and forth and waiting on hold, I finally got my doctor to refer me to this surgeon and was able to track down the office he works (worked) out of to schedule a consultation—only to find out this surgeon recently moved to Texas. Awesome.

Is it worth to keep doing this whole song and dance to try and get the surgery to have it removed? It is so frustrating because it will feel great for a week or two and then the pain will come back. I’m concerned that when I go back to work it will be an issue (most recently I’ve been working as a bartender—not ideal).

I am considering buying a 3yo gelding who was found to have a front right fetlock bone cyst. He is less than half the price with stunning bloodlines due to the cyst. I know absolutely nothing about cysts and am anxiously waiting the comparative X-rays (from january when it was first diagnosed to now, July) to send to my personal vet for an opinion. I am just curious about other people’s experiences with bone cysts in young horses and if it caused problems later in life.

My ankles feel kinda tingly-is this common? Could this be a result of pressure on spine?

I can literally feel some days the infected cavities eating away my jaw bone. I know those microbes can go to heart, go to the brain, create inflammation and all sorts of problems. I heard there are clinics in like texas that handle such issues with ozon and other therapies. Also they remove the microbes safely without letting them burst all over in your mouth when exposed. What do u recommend me to do? Im in southern eastern Europe. Is there a professional clinic like that near me? What the cost of that proceedure would be? What the risks? I had an xray showing a rat bite bone cyst in my big toe following a bunionectomy with mild pain. My uric acid was also elevated (450 mmol). This was done by a podiatrist, who diagnosed me with gout. My grandmother and great grandmother had gout. I eat healthy and am a healthy weight.

I had a phone call with a rheumatologist who said "it's not gout because if it was the pain would be nightmarish, not mild." That conversation left me very unsatisfied, considering the meaningfulness of the rat bite bone cyst.

Anybody with a rat bite bone cyst who was diagnosed with gout? Or a similar story?

Don’t do it. This week is my 21 years since the snip, wife’s idea, I have no sex life, pain in my sac, balls, pubic bone area, ultrasounds show cysts. 6 years after my snip, I was still having swollen epididymis, my wife got a hysterectomy. You are so correct. Today is my 21 year anniversary since the mutilation of my nuts. I still have epididymitis my pubic bone area hurts and into my ribs. Vasectomies wreck your body and anti-sperm antibodies kill your cells.

I got cut 21 years ago yesterday. Biggest mistake. First 6 years of pain -- the pain is on and off currently. My question is why would any guys do this to their body, me included. We have been lied to by the medical field. Stop and think what we have done to the most sensitive part of our bodies! And how our body reacts. I'm 24, female, 5'7, 145lbs, white.

I got an MRI for Endometriosis and Adenomyosis done, during which they also saw a large bone cyst in my femur. They adviced me to get an x-ray as the MRI didn't show the bone cyst clearly enough.

Could anyone tell me if this is an aneurysmal or unicameral bone cyst and if this needs to be operated on? I have an appointment with an orthopedist in a few weeks but if I possibly I'd like to know a little quicker.

Three years ago I had surgery to deal with an infection in the root of my left molar. I got root canal and a filling for it, but not before it cause significant decay in the bone area. Sometimes I can feel/smell decay coming from the that tooth and it is constantly uncomfortable, and increasingly painful. There is also what feels like a small cyst in the upper part of the gums which my dentist never got rid of. I sometimes worry that there are bacterial that continue to feed in the bone. I am worried that I won't be able to afford a specialist to help with what is an unusual problem.
