A list of puns related to "Alberta Party"
It's been over a decade since the Alberta Liberal Party was a viable option, and we all know the other two parties in the province represent extremes (though, to be fair, Notley moved closer to the centre after she was elected). The Alberta Party was founded as the (supposedly) party of common sense, but since there are almost no political insiders in the party, it has no idea how to run a campaign, attract candidates, etc. So what's an Albertan supposed to do in the voting booth?
As a fan of Nenshi's even-handed approach, I think he'd make a great leader for a centre-left Alberta Party. He's organized, he can rally the troops and he would add much needed gravitas to a party that's really been perceived as nothing but an outlier. The AP under him wouldn't carry the baggage of the Liberal Party and could start fresh, wooing young people who hate Kenney and offering an alternative for Albertans who just can't bring themselves to vote NDP.
Of course, I have no idea what Nenshi's plans are after retirement - he could very well have had his fill of assholes throwing rocks at him and want to get out of politics altogether. But something tells me that's not the case. What say you, Reddit?
Could anyone here give me a brief idea about the Alberta Party and why it exists? Where do they stand fiscally and socially? What makes them stand out from the other two parties?
Not trying to offend anyone, just wanted to educate myself. I guess now is a better time than never.
Thanks!
