I know plenty of you folks have had your shit lost by the military and basically told "tough luck" as I recently have. Fortunately, while they did lose my stuff, it was on my redeployment so I had plenty of stuff here at home (although I lost all of the stuff I traded with other nation's military, memorabilia, my own stuff I've purchased, etc).
My point being, I've been told that it's been a month and my stuff is lost and there's nothing I can do about it - where exactly does lost stuff go? In my head, being Air Force, I imagine some bastard Senior Airman looking through my stuff and picking stuff out that he wants to keep as my baggage is now "off the radar". Does anybody here work in AMC or Aerial Port and can speak to where lost baggage goes? It clearly won't be returned, so someone has to end up with it, right?
