Did y'all know that there is a New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts uptown?
Even though it's been on Magazine Street for over 40 years now, I feel like a lot of people still don't know that we have a really great art school right here in New Orleans. Apparently it took some pretty heavy water damage from Ida but it's being repaired and fall classes are starting soon. If y'all want to get out of the house and take classes in drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, etc., they have classes for all skill levels, as well as classes for kids. They also have studios where you can go draw from live nude models if that's what you're into. I'm told they will be requiring proof of vaccination for all students and faculty.

Meet Katarzyna HaptaΕ, our lead artist. Kasia studied at Warsaw's Academy of Fine Arts. Before launching Serious Sim, she was working on Brassheart and single-handedly developed Kurki. Kasia's hobby is brewing beer, dancing, and running. Only one of those skills is useful in game dev ;)

How do you get accepted at Royal Academy Of Fine Arts Antwerp?
Iβve applied there twice when the entrance exams were online and I canβt even pass part 1 stage where they assess your portfolio. I really wanna study there and I know Iβve got the talent but I canβt seem to showcase it on my portfolio or maybe Iβm unsure on what type of portfolio they want.
Does anyone have any experience with that school who could tell me what things they look for in your portfolio?

I've recently drawn tarot cards (only Major Arcana) inspired by greek pantheon for an Academy of Fine Arts' assignment. For the Judgment I was inspired by "The Winged Victory of Samothrace", also called the "Nike of Samothrace", a marble Hellenistic sculpture of Nike, the greek goddess of victory.

Found dog Uptown, Magazine by Jefferson, in front of New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts. Elderly chihuahua male, pretty sure someone abandoned him. Advice? What do I do now?
Washed it, gave it a meal, and a warm spot to sleep.
