Álvaro Morte is just so hypnotic as Logain. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him any time he was onscreen. He has the presence I would expect from Logain (one of my favorite book characters). I’m really excited about the rumors of him getting an expanded role in the show because I’m dying to see more of him.
I keep seeing in the wot subreddit how successful the show is. There are posts there that say:
1-the premiere was the most watched show.
2-that wot was the most searched term in google 4 days before the show.
I believe both of these statements. First of all of course the premiere was one of the most watched shows but thats just because of the power of the ip. WOT is one of the biggest and most succesful fantasy series and with all the advertisment amazon did this doesn't surpise me. For the same reason wot was the most searched term.
Neither of these two points prove that the show is successful and when i pointed it out of course i was downvoted. The problem with this show is that the writers and directors are not good so the changes they make are bad because they can't implement them right (the choices are stupid of course but a talented writer could do it better).
WOT is a journey from innocence to adulthood, and from carefreeness to grimdark reality. They've already lost one of the important aspects of wot because this story is dark from the start. They are so focused to the destination that they forgot the journey.
The real test is to see how many people watch the 4th episode. If there is a big drop off then none of their points matter. And amazon must know that the first 3 episodes were bad and that the 4th one would be really important for the future of their series. And that's why they introduced Álvaro Morte at the end of the 3rd episode. He has a huge following in the us but mostly in europe and a lot of people will tune in just to see him. That's why i believe there won't be a huge drop off in the 4th episode and they'll use that to prove to us that the show is successful. Amazon may hire bad writers and showrunners with 0 experience but they are pretty good at business.
You have probably watched La Casa de Papel - El Legado (premier of this last season). Do you remember the funny cast of Ed Sheeran. There is a scene between Ed and Álvaro (El Profesor), we didn't watched. On that scene, Álvaro gives him a proposal, a robbery in Buckinham Palace.

It's so impressing. He does it so many times throughout the whole series, but especially the first two seasons while he's dating Raquel. One second he's "completely innocent" and the next he looks like he has already murdered 4 other police inspectors, and they're at home in his freezer in 34 pieces.
I'm not sure how many of you are interested but Álvaro Morte was asked a question about his casting on the show during a recent Red Carpet event. It's in Spanish but I've subbed it in case anyone is interested.

An amazing thriller you can find in Internet if you look for it. You can watch it also in Spain with Orange TV, in Japan with Hulu (Number 1 there as you can see), in the rest of Asia with HBO Asia. The plot reminds a bit to The Thing from John Carpenter at first but with no sci-fiction. The show is Spanish (directors, screenwriters, producers) but the cast is very international.
This movie was a hit in Asia too. The original title is Durante la Tormenta (Mirage) and you can find it on Netflix. A Spanish sci-fiction movie about a woman. Two storms separated by 25 years. A woman murdered. A daughter missed. Only 72 hours to discover the truth.
