There is no sticky or something like that I could link and most threads about it are being deleted, just look up the terms on the archives or browse the catalog for five fucking minutes.

It should probably not look for the bad words ("rape" in this case) inside other words.
That wordfilter from Garena server is stupid and annoying as shit. Why can't i talk as i want even in private/party/guild chats? Messages with word from wordfilter just doesn't appear. I can't imagine any reasons why do we have such stupid restriction for russian language when we doesn't have any on other languages.

The garbage in parentheses is the "encrypted" text, as found in the filter file.
So after seeing this post earlier today, I got curious about the file itself. From looking at it, it didn't look too hard to decipher, so I gave it a shot.
Turns out that it's a simple substitution cipher for the words themselves, but there's some more junk around them that I haven't bothered to investigate yet. For those who are interested, here's the substitution table:

So "ASS" becomes "KYY", etc. Note that Q is missing, because there are actually no filtered words that contain Q. The ASCII values seem to follow some sort of pattern of positive and negative changes of 10 and 6, so you could figure out what Q is supposed to be... but who cares.
Also, Hi-Rez is apparently really concerned about Germans swearing in their game.
EDIT: AlyoshaV brought up an interesting observation, maybe some of these words were actually intended to be put on a whitelist instead of a blacklist. Words like analogy, basement, arsenal, etc. They contain "bad" words, but aren't bad in and of themselves.
Has anyone tested these odd words to see if they're actually censored? I've heard before that basement is, but maybe the others aren't. All that "other junk" that I didn't bother investigating could be used to mark some words as whitelisted, others as blacklisted.
Spinal recently added a plugin that enables us to replace some words with others. The staff (who are not affected by the plugin) had some fun with it earlier today, but it has been (for the most part) disabled. The part that we have left running, though, covers some of the more egregious slurs. I sought out this plugin so that when we add new players, we would be able to curb their language in chat in the event that they were not up to the community standard.
This is a standard that everyone on the server has done a great job of upholding on their own, which is why I want to make it clear that this is not some kind of reaction to the existing community. We don't believe that we have to worry about any of you using language of harassment and hate. However, after enabling the plugin, several people have since attempted to 'test' it.
First off, as far as the words we've blocked are concerned, it works. If you say the n-word, it will be blocked. Furthermore, I'm not... creative enough to think of all the different ways of expressing intolerance, so if you test it, no doubt many of your words will get through the filter into open chat. THIS IS BAD. This will not be considered an excuse for using such language.
Just keep being the respectful(-ish) community that you've maintained so far, and nothing will change.
TL;DR - Some hate speech is now suppressed. DON'T TEST THE FILTER.

It's the beginning of June 2020. Around the world, adult fans of cartoon horses are waking up and checking their feeds. For those who weren't paying much attention to the internet over the weekend, they get a shock when they find blog posts about a bizarre event that happened that Saturday.
An adult man known for writing a reasonably well-liked pony story heavily based on Tolkien (and roughly the length of one of his books as well) had the shit beat out of him after he tried to charge people attending a George Floyd protest wielding a Roman gladius with the intent, one would presume, to politely engage in friendly debate over their differences in political opinions. I mean, for what other reason would a white catholic dude chase down protesters while waving around an actual goddamn sword?
A decent amount of people are confused by this event. How could such a popular figure in the pony fandom end up doing something that crazy and then tweet to publicly confirm it was him? Why are there people in the community trying to defend or even cheer on this lunatic's actions? How did we even get here?

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
