A list of puns related to "Webm"
I want to know how to do this because my video editor does not allow me to use .webm. Also I want to be able to keep the audio.
Currently I just use the default settings: "dlp.exe [URL]"
I tried "--merge-output-format mp4 --recode-video mp4 [URL]", but there was no audio.
Apart from JB2A module, of course.
Thanks for your support and input!
this is my first time posting here so sorry if slip up, and sorry if i reply late, timezones and whatnot
i am currently cleaning up my documents folder when i stumbled upon a webm recording of me "rm -rf"-ing debian (not sure if virtual box or actual installation)
there were 3 videos, 2 of which had playback issues i easily deleted and this one, which as far as i know, cannot be modified in any shape or form
moving didnt work, renaming didnt work, opening an ide to modify the contents directly didnt work, using a python script to delete it didnt work either
the files details says that its 0kbps, and there is no information data of the audio
when i open the folder where the file is in, the file explorer progress bar never turns grey, its stuck green at 95% like its trying to load something
i dont intend to want to recover the file, i just want it gone from my computer

As the title says after updating foundry to the newest patch my webm maps no longer work. They are greyed out and don't show up. I use dynamic dungeons premade maps. It's weird because my other maps that are not webm work just fine.
This is what it looks like π·https://gyazo.com/6d58912e85eef21a0514831d832653aa
Has anyone had an issue like this before?
Todays cup was absolutely unplayable. The moving signs killed fps.
You can go into C:\ProgramData\TrackMania\Cache, sort by date and delete the most recent 12 .webm files to fix this. Rejoining session is probably necessary.
Edit: webp image files, not webm
I downloaded the Google webm webp codec by going to https://storage.googleapis.com/downloads.webmproject.org/releases/webp/index.html and downloading the WebpCodecSetup.exe, but opening .webm .webp files still doesn't work.
How do you open .webm .webp files on Windows without opening them in a browser every time?
According to the great majority of articles, AV1 have slightly better video quality, with enormous bandwidth savings (45% savings compared to HEVC)
If it's just that Google don't want it, is there a way to record in VP9/WebM/AV1 ?
I personally think Google is responsible for the slow rollout of AV1 more than anybody else because when they bought On2, they should have taken the VP8 code, partnered with all the companies you see in the AOM today, and declared AV1 as a direct competitor to H.264.
Instead, they tried to leverage their WebM container with VP8 to back it up and they effectively fragmented the open source codec landscape for more than a decade, allowing H.264 to dominate in a time where 1080p streaming video became more popular than ever before.
Imagine if Google had instead worked with other companies to say "we need to free everybody from this ASAP" and merged VP8 with whatever code the other companies had to make an AV1 that was better than H.264 and then they could work on AV2, which would handle 4K and 8K in the future.
The 2 biggest stumbling blocks AV1 has right now are:
H.265 has dominated 4K video streaming for years and people are satisfied with how they run on their devices, making AV1 a distant 2nd place.
4K isn't really catching on with people as enthusiasts and corporations hoped it would. The average person is perfectly happy with a 720p or 1080p stream on all of their devices and H.264 can handle that for them for many years to come.
tldr: if Google had not squandered VP8 into their Google-centric WebM offering instead of giving it to a consortium that would become the AOM, we might have had AV1 a decade ago, replacing H.264 as a free-to-use format much earlier and AV2 development for 4K and 8K would have become more timely and important.
AV1 should have been a response to H.264, not H.265, and Google's power hunger didn't let that happen.
What do you guys think?
I want to create an opening animation, but I don't know how to make it less blurry.. I export it in the same resolution as my project(360p in game pixels look good and sharp with plugins), but after all file format manipulations the movie looks bad and blurry is there any way to fix this?
For some reason, when I use my Synology DS File app to play movies from my NAS, I am no longer presented with an option to play the video with VLC , but only when that file is .webm or .mp4, but I still have the option for .mov/.avi/etc. How do I fix this? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling both apps , cleared cache , and reset all Android settings, but that didn't seem to help. This used to work until a few days ago.
I've done this before on another computer without problems, but for some reason now the output video is a black video (with the correct audio). I Click Media> convert/save. I add the file and click convert/save, then select either Video for YouTube or one of the different MP4 options (I've tried them all). Then click on browse, select a folder and give it a name before clicking Start. It looks like it goes through the convert process, the blue line at the bottom moves from left to right. For some reason the output video is the audio with just a black background. The blue line seems to move a lot quicker than it did on the computer that it worked on before. Would appreciate any suggestions.
I have FILMORA X and when try to import .mkv or .webm video (4K) not work and import only audio (i have black screen).
I've activated GPU acceleration, but problem not fix.
(Windows) I noticed on ytdlp my downloads for YouTube webm vp9 files don't show much details under properties no bitrate, resolution fps etc but Mp4 avc1 works perfectly and shows everything I have ffmpeg and ffprobe installed Why is this happening is there anyway to fix this Thanks
Nowadays WebM is one of the major standards in video and audio, especially on the web, where it is the preferred format for many uses. This is why I think it is a bit sad to see that LumaFusion doesnβt support WebM, importing or exporting. Preferably, if this were to be implemented, it would use the standard VP9 and Vorbis audio standards in the container.
