I found this article and thought it was quite interesting, VRchat is being investigated for being a bad place for under 18’s due to the harassment they receive, but from my personal experience (and judging by alot of the complaints on the quest subreddit and along with this one) its normally the kids that are the ones spitting the abuse! Don’t get me wronng, im all for protecting minors from the absolutely degenerates that want to groom them on VRchat, along with the NSFW worlds that can scar a child for life. But I just find it interesting how VRchat is being said as a place that kids get harassed and called racial slurs (all of which is bad) but 9 times out of 10 its the squeakers saying the worst stuff. I would love to hear what people want to say about this and about Meta agreeing with the ICO on this

I've been playing for about 4 years now , and well i hate to see vrchat just going worse and worse , i mean i have seen some weird stuff , heard some weird stuff. But what i'm most dissapointed about is how sexual people now are compared to before , public avatars that are now normal have like 10% clothing on , idk why this even began to be acceptable? And i cant tell if the avatar made the community horny or the other way around. When i was making avatars i loved to show a little skin like belly and stuff like that , make some cute outfits, but people had to sexualise it and wanting to fuck it.. then i started making avatars that are almost fully covered , could only see the hands and head really.. but people sexualised that too somehow??? The only way i could make someone not want to fuck my avatar was to make them realistic so that its creepy to most people, but even then sometimes i'd get people to want to fuck it. Its sad to see the state of vrchat currently. Its like i can't do anything without some random people fucking in public,being horny in general or wanting my avatar.. i want to love the game , but god damn it makes it really hard , i doubt i am the only one that really think the community need some anti-horny spray right?
Edit:To clarify It's mostly about public encounters that i have issues with. If you stay in private and be horny in private that is fine by me.

too many children and toxicity increased tenfold
I just had about 400 hrs of VRChat. One surprising thing is that dating seems so common in the VRC community, but some people have told me it usually does not last for a very long time and it always ends terribly (breaking friend groups and making relationship awkward), though I can't deny there are also many successful cases but I have not encountered one.
I am thinking about getting into a relationship with a girl I met and I wonder what kinds of expectations I should have?
Just bought my pc and was wondering if these parts will be able to run Vrchat with a link cable connected to my Oculus. Thoughts?

Some of the best graphics ive seen in VR and THE best Scale ive seen. This is a great experience. I would also say play this with friends if you can.
I'm planning on doing homeschool, so I won't have a lot of people to make friends with. So I was thinking maybe I can make my social life vrchat. Iv heard from many people that online friends just aren't the same from real friends, but maybe vrchat is different since it's in virtual reality, you get to see them virtual face to virtual face like real life, but idk.
This is gonna probably be a polarized to negative attention post but, trying to hold events shouldn't be something exclusively for private worlds. ALSO. Why can't the host of worlds kick people anymore? Voting to kick doesn't work, most people aren't paying attention.
