A list of puns related to "Volge"
It's kinda boring now
As it states i know i need Ark Spikes but unsure on the other details. Thanks in advance!
I've hit a point where Volge roadblocks are becoming a common sight. Which would be fine if these events didn't love to spawn directly on top of mission beacons and the Volge at them didn't have perfect aim at any distance with weapons that kill me in seconds.
If anyone's got any advice for weapon types to use or shield types that counter their weaponry, that'd be wonderful.
So, let me preface this by saying that I bought the original Defiance when it came out. I kept playing it past when it went free-to-play. But, it has been a few years since I picked it up. So, maybe I have rose-colored glasses, but I don't think so. Some of my fellow old school friends (some who've played the original more recently) agree with some of my observations.
First off, loot drops seem a lot rarer than they used to be. I'm pretty sure getting 2-4 guns at the end of a major arkfall was the norm. That isn't including drops prior to the end. I used to have to mass breakdown after every arkfall or my inventory would be maxed. Now, I can do multiple and not worry about it. I'm rather sick of getting 90% mods/grenades and getting a gun just every once and a while. It's no wonder people are complaining about power level not budging. Even if you enhance every couple of guns you get, you're still going to struggle to move 20-50 power level in a couple of hours.
Plus, arkfalls used to grant ark keys. And sure, it took a bunch to open a chest. But this meant you could grind out some arkfalls and then open a chest. Now, you get your dailies done and... That's it. There's not really any incentive to continue playing outside of messing around with friends. When my friends go offline, I've started doing so, too. Which is odd, given that I've been looking forward to this release all year. And am I wrong or did minor arkfalls used to give loot, too? Don't they now only give cores and salvage?
I also feel like the bullet spongey enemies are making the game less fun. Now, it is possible that they haven't changed and I just don't remember things correctly. But it genuinely feels like the enemies are harder to kill, to the point that it isn't fun anymore.
I made the terrible, awful decision to use an ark spike on a minor impact site today. Me (ego 50, power at 1450-1500) and a very low-level friend went in with a random guy. We were stuck in there for what had to've been an hour or more. To the point that I was ready to just turn off the game. The Volge inside were set to a higher power level than I was (as are almost all arkfall enemies), and despite equipping appropriate nano-effects and grenades, it would still take ten minutes, minimum, to bring down a Huntmaster's shield. Which would then go right back up with drones (not-so-hilariously, the last guy spammed drones for 15-20 minutes, sometimes having four out at a time, before I stopped shooting him en
... keep reading on reddit β‘Been playing Defiance 2050 on ps4 since release, I remember back on ps3 the siege in S Francisco (the Bathouse or something like that) was always full of people, now no one is there and I cant even think of beating it alone, is it just on PS4? Is it 'cause people don't know or don't have the right gear?
Ooookaay trion.
Just that. That fight was Fucking fire.
So i ran into the volge for the first time last night aaaaand i got my ass handed to me. Any suggestions on what i can use to level the playing field?
Anyone else really hate the Volge roadblocks? It seems they are EVERYWHERE now and if you accidentally hit one of them with your car, it immediately blows up and I'm destroyed within seconds by the nonstop powerful weapons fire.
Unless you are playing with other people, it is almost impossible to avoid them stopping you several times on your way down the road and making you extract. I think they are far too powerful. Thoughts?
I'm level 560, so I usually do quite well, but these guys just seem like they are forcing you to play with other people. I like being anti-social and do my own thing.
This is a render of the Volge Assault Rifle and associated mods from the game assets. I even implemented the glow map in the render this time. Still working on properly extracting normal maps. I'll have some Volge helmets soon.

I can't wait until I can use it in-game.
Here are front an back renders of the Volge helmets for players that were extracted from the client's assets. There are 2 different models with 3 different textures each.

It will be an interesting change to the current sci-fi/urban helmets we have now even if I will feel like I should be storming Mordor with them.
All, volg de persoon genoemd in de titel. Het spel is op de wagen.. papier gaat kapot.
Ook mijnbouw aandelen dus... weg ermee.
I recently obtained the Arkbreaker dlc and 7th Legion dlc, I brought down two WMs and was in total 5 WMs (3 escaped) And I have a few MkII weapons. Should I use them?
As I've mentioned before I've been working on a texture extractor to help theme my Twitch channel. I came across these assets. Since I haven't even started with the model extraction (machinima anyone?) this is the best I've found so far. I'll probably start on audio extraction next though. The game's music is great.

Here are [renders] (http://imgur.com/a/OL93j) of 3 of the 4 types of Volge that are currently in the game assets. They are the Volge [Trooper, Bomber, and Viscera with elite variants] (/spoiler). The [Overlord] (/spoiler)is the only one missing. There are references and even an [icon] (http://imgur.com/a/IVqGL) of it but no model or other texture assets that I can find.

My goal with extracting the assets it to allow people to make some Defiance fan machinima. I plan on releasing my extraction tools at some point. The code is quite a mess and buggy as I figure out the file formats.
EDIT: I've updated the renders with brighter lighting and higher resolution to see more details.
