They position themselves as leaders, yet they destroy families and directly support ideologies that lead to suffering. These people have blood on their hands. The ostracism and outright abuse my family has shown me would have led me to suicide, except for the presence of affirming people in the lgbt community and counselors who used evidence-based treatment practices and made sure they were informed about transgender (These professional put in the effort to learn about transgender instead of going off of surface level beliefs. They relied on science.)
