A list of puns related to "Vitamin D3"
I'm new to supplements and I just searched this subreddit for Vitamin D3 and you're supposed to take it with vitamin K2 and Magnesium glycinate, right?
I plan to find an all-in-one pill that has Vitamin D3, K2, and Magnesium Glycinate unless anyone else here has a better recommendation?
I'm truly lost here and would appreciate any helpful advice, thank you!
Hi guys, I'm planning to take Quercetin+Zinc+Magnesium+B6 before going to bed. And Vitamin D3+ E + B12 + Boron for the morning. Do i do it right? Should I take Boron at night too?
Particularly the northern hemisphere right now (November to March..extend more for higher latitudes) . The sunlight is inadequate north of 37 degrees latitude ( Los Angelas for americans) for Vitamin D production. D3 is important for immune health and many other functions, and most notable it fights Seasonal Affective Disorder (the winter blues). I won't discuss dosage here, that's a personal undertaking.
I have been trying to figure out which & how much cofactors I should take for Vitamin D3.
In my case, I'm interested in taking 5000 iu daily (125 mcg) of Vitamin D3, provided this is not too high.
I understand if this issue has been mulled over before here in parts, but I would really, really, appreciate a clear explanation of what are the suggested dosages in one thread. In researching the cofactors, I have become very confused about the recommendable amounts, and there seems to be some contradictory statements especially around K2 MK-4 dosage.
From what I understand, at least these may be D3 cofactors. The below are my own research notes, and not what I suggest anyone to take. If I am correct however, what are the suggested / best practice dosages for these?

Hi everyone! I just found out my levels of d3 are high. Iβm in Ontario Canada, they same normal values are 75-256 mine are showing at 556! How do I bring my levels back down to normal
In Birmingham to be specific
Vitamin D is essential, but I've recently seen multiple posts of people saying taking Vitamin D3 with their Adderall cancels out the effects of Adderall. One person said the Vitamin D3 made his Adderall completely ineffective, and he only felt a fast heart rate from the Adderall (and no mental effects) when his Vitamin D3 levels were high. Another person said they noticed taking a Vitamin D3 tablet with their Vyvanse seems to weaken the effects of the Vyvanse.
I find this particularly concerning, since Vitamin D3 is considered very safe in low doses (up to 5000 IU/day), while this blunting of stimulants seems to happen within the same safe dose range. It is possible that people may take Vitamin D and lose effects of their stimulant, not making the possible connection between the two.
However, it's also possible the 2 above experiences are nocebo, or just unusual side effects / reactions to Vitamin D.
What has been your experience? Does Vitamin D3 taken daily for prolonged periods of time blunt the effects of Adderall for you?

an older Covid19 Vitamin D3 study, that has now graduated from pre-print to peer review.
" This study illustrates that, at a time when vaccination was not yet available, patients with sufficiently high D3 serum levels preceding the infection were highly unlikely to suffer a fatal outcome. The partial risk at this D3 level seems to vanish under the normal statistical mortality risk for a given age and in light of given comorbidities. "
Ive been taking 60000 IU for 2 weeks now and just today I've been throwing up all day. I wouldn't think just 2 weeks would be an issue but is there any information about sickness from a D3 regimen? It probably is just a stomach flu but I want to be sure
Disclaimers: (1) this research is very young and not well established. But it helped me, so I feel like I need to share. (2) On mobile, sorry for the formatting (3) long.
MY PROBLEM:
I posted in this sub recently that when I took my perscribed SSRI (generic zoloft), my ability to get anything done in the house was obliterated which majorly impacted my diet, and some of you had similar issues.
After that I remembered that a friend of mine said his antidepressant can affect his vitamin D. So I looked it up.
RESEARCH FROM THE WEB: (I included the limitations of the research where I could, and I tried to use real research.)
1: Vitamin D can affect Dopamine levels. (Recent conclusion). I only found this link that describes it (listed under the significance statement section) all the references were too technical for me to understand. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4875352/#s1title.
2: there is speculation on if SSRIs might reduce vitamin D levels by impacting levels. Here's a link to research that is currently underway, there are no conclusions yet. This research it checking vitamin D in relation to bone fractures. https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT01932931
3; Other research speculates that it's just that depressed people arent motivated enough to have proper vitamin D intake. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29746975/
4: I can't find the link, but one of the sites specifically said that SSRIs might 'may reduce vitamin D uptake' (paraphrasing). (EDIT: OK, THIS IS FLIMSY. I saw the word uptake in the google summary for link 2 when I searched for it.)
MY SOLUTION:
So, taking this information. I focused on the word "uptake". So, I emailed my doctor to ask about how I could modify my zoloft schedule. (Everyother day is fine, and 1/2 dose is fine). And came up with a strategy to take 2,000 iu of vitamin D. And I take it 8 hours separate from when I take any zoloft.
And omg almost immediately I was able to do 20 whole dishes, & all my silverware. And for the last 3 days (including today) ive been able to actually make my standard healthy meal. I haven't been able to do that for well over a month.
So, I wanted to share with you guys.
IF YOU WANT TO TRY:
If you want to talk to your doctor about this stuff, be careful, they won't know about this research, and they get sensitive to new theories (because of all the crazy things people say). But it's a common concept that vitamin D can improve the effectiveness of antide

Iβm clearly inexperienced and inattentive. Dumb move. Am I going to be okay?
The reason you are getting side effects from D3, is because you are allergic to the sheep wool the supplement is made from. Take 2000UI to test it. If you feel your anxiety doubling up, you would know the culprit.
The answer is to take it in a vegan form.
I feel so much better, I have been taking it for 2 weeks. My energy levels are up, I don't feel depressed and I sleep like a baby. Did I also say I dream. Vivid dreams. I feel more human. As if I found something that I lost for a long time.
After 1 year of searching for an answer that was right in front of me, I am glad this chapter can end. I hope no one falls in the same trap as me.
TDLR;
Try Vegan Vitamin D3.
I currently only take 100mg modafinil daily to combat my chronic fatigue, but I find that I always have brainfog and get depressed easily. I've been searching around and I think adding either phenylpiracetam/piracetam, L-Tyrosine, Lionsmane and Vitamin D3 to my daily stack could be beneficial. I am not sure about the dosage though. I am female, about 80 kg. Does anyone have any recommendations on what dosage I should take for each for optimal energy and focus? When should I take it and how many times a day? Empty stomach or full?
I usually use CanPrev because I've heard they're good quality, but NOW is literally half the price (per capita).
Hi, I'm new here but wanted to ask about side effects. I'm definitely low on vitamin and I also have autoimmune issues. I started taking a supplement that has both vitamin D3 and K2 in one pill, it's 5000 IU's plus 50mcg and it does not have lanolin in it. Everytime I take it I feel terrible, lightheaded and this weird brain fog/ buzzing feeling, hard to explain but almost like a smoking weed kinda high but really not a good high if you know what I mean π. I started taking it a little over a week ago and I know I need to supplement but I don't think I can keep feeling that way so I stopped it yesterday...not sure if what I'm experiencing is side effects but I'm pretty sure it's linked. I also take magnesium L-Threonate and b complex. Will this pass if I keep taking it?
Per title. Would be interested. I know MYSAD used to recommend Solray a lot for most vitamins.
I started this combination as I had heard that they're helpful for Anxiety and Depression. I took 200mg of Magnesium Bisglycinate and 1000 IU of Vitamin D 4 hours ago. I had been living off of junk food and was previously getting nutrients sparingly.
The results have been astonishing.
I'm not sure if it was the Magnesium or the D3, but its like I've exited a brain fog. I feel alert, Focused, and calm. I had been taking Benzodiazepines for anxiety, and Adderall for my ADD. One would sedate me, and the other would speed up my brain, but neither made me feel normal.
4 hours after taking these two Suppliments, I feel NORMAL. Not sedated, not speedy, just normal. A fog I didn't even know the cause of (Magnesium deficiency in retrospect) is gone. Like, lifted from my mind. I don't feel Anxious or Depressed, or worried. I don't feel sedated or sped up like I did with medication... I just feel normal again for the first time in over 10 years, and it's beautiful. I also no longer have cold limbs oddly enough.
I also feel a slight amount of nausea and a weird rumbling in my gut, but hey, that's alright. I knew that Magnesium of any form had the ability to cause some GI issues going into this.
This experience has changed the way I look at nutrition forever, and how important Magnesium is. I also feel a bit sleepy, but its good, I need the sleep.
I had to share this.. and I felt like you folks would be the only ones to really 'get it'. I'm going to take a nap now. Thank you for reading. I'll provide further updates later.
This is incredible. Why didn't my doctor or psychiatrist tell me about Magnesium? Wow.
UDDATE 1: After having take magnesium at 6 in the morning, I'm noticing Nausea throughout the day. Is that somewhat normal?
UPDATE 2: 11 hours after taking Magnesium Bisglycinate, the benefit is still there. The anxiety and intrusive thoughts no longer over power me. Not an ounce of depression or low mood. I'm still thinking very clearly, and am quite productive. I don't have the muscle cramping/muscle pains I always get and my joint pain is gone. I cannot tell you how much of a blessing the mental benefits are. I cannot explain with words how miserable and afraid I was for years... and for the first time in what feels like forever, I feel normal again. After years of being rendered nearly helpless By PTSD, I feel like me again. I feel like I've found a part of myself that had been lost for a long time. Also the nausea only lasted a few hours, and was

The partial risk at this D3 level seems to vanish under the normal statistical mortality risk for a given age and in light of given comorbidities. This correlation should have been good news when vaccination was not available but instead was widely ignored. Nonetheless, this result may offer hope for combating future variants of the rapidly changing virus as well as the dreaded breakthrough infections, in which severe outcomes have been seen in 10.5% of the vaccinated versus 26.5% of the unvaccinated group, with breakthrough even being fatal in 2% of cases."
BTW, you want your Vit. D level to be 50-60 ng/mL range and most Whites are a bit less than half that and most Black/Brown people even lower.
Hey ! I'd like to ask you about UVB Bulb and increasing vitamin d3 this way. Do you think it is safe? I react badly to all oral vitamin d3 supplements so I want to increase it naturally. I know that radiation may increases skin cancer but I want to use it only for 4-5 minutes 3 times per week, may it hurt me?

This may sound crazy, but it has aided me with vaccine side effects. I am getting my booster this Saturday and although I usually take 1 per day a week before any vaccine jab, I am wondering if 2 a day before Saturday would be okay? The bottle is D3 125mcg 5000 IU so if I take one in the morning and one at night, it'd be double. Google says it's safe, but I would rather know via actual doctors/med students/nurses.
I have GPA a rare form of Vasculitis that affects the blood vessels. I was invited to try out Dr. Gundryβs suggestion of supplementing with high amounts of Vitamin D3 to βhealβ said autoimmune disease.
Has anyone supplemented with high amounts of Vitamin D3, and if so, what is your experience?
For context, I am currently taking 20,000 IU and itβs been about 2 weeks now.
At the moment I only have vitamin d3 1000iu, does that mean I have to take 10 a day? And when? At the moment I don't have vitamin k2, is that going to be a problem? I have calcium but not magnesium or anything else. Will vitamin d3 and calcium help?
Someone did mention before that d3 and k2 are better to take rather than just taking vitamin d3
