A list of puns related to "Vainglory"
I got pretty bored so I came up with some (cringy?) VG puns. You can use any of these if you want, or add more :) If you find them cringeworthy, I'm sorry bro.
"You really Glaive me good advice about my builds."
"You're really the apple of my Skye."
"Alpha bet on my chances."
"That's a really Krul way to put things."
"I SAW that." (I kinda got lazy)
"Can you CP from here?"
"That defeat Skaarfed me."
I was a big fan of vg puns back in the days. Share your jokes and have a good laugh!
Varrya asked Ringo, "How are you? " Ringo: "You shocked the crap out of me." Varya: "No, that was captain neto."
What did Lorelai ask Skaarf? "How do you wear boots?!"

With the exception of maybe jhin, every vainglory hero is so much better designed than league champs. I really feel that this game could have rivaled league one day if smec didn't abandon it.
For those who don't know, Vainglory is a MOBA for Android as well as PC ( allowing cross platform ) developed by SEMC in 2014. I am a player who has played Vainglory for 3 years and now switched to Wild rift and I know a lot of community also shifted with me. So from all those who have played both of these games, I want ur comparisons and opinions regarding both these games.
I remembered a little while back that I had finished this like a year ago but it had never been released, so here it is.
I know it isnt the most polished thing in existence so I may or may not go and correct a few things here and there but I think its pretty good over. At the very least its better than just putting it through google translate or DeepL.
If any of yall got any suggestions of some stories that haven't been translated then please let me know, although I do want to translate part three of this since it has Beako, and since I've already done 2 If stories I may as well keep going at them.
Anyways, hope you enjoy it
Featuring the strategy and depth of a MOBA, combined with the best of Battle Royale
Just what is that thing ?
Played wildrift for a good amount of time. I find it nearly impossible to solo climb. VG made it possible to climb, given enough grinding (When it was a full game). Haven't played VG for a year or so. Tap controls are simply the best. I get cramps playing WR. I'm actually really surprised it was so much better. I drank the WR kool-aid for a bit, but eventually I think most will realize VG was better.
I started playing the game when Baron was the newest hero and basically learned the game on Samuel. I absolutely adored the game and later mained supports.
A friend I made on this game and I played duos and climbed the ranks to The Pinnacle of Awesomeness, and often dipped our toes into Vainglorious bronze. This was my favourite game by far.
My favourite thing was the stories they released with the heroes' skins. Who still remembers those? But suddenly they stopped. I don't remember when, all I know is that the game felt a whole lot less personal and cared for.
Even still I loved the game... until 5v5 happened. (I don't know exactly when this happened in relation to the abandoned hero stories.) I hated it and it felt like they started tuning the heroes to be balanced in 5v5 and disregarded balance in 3v3.
Anyhow, soon after that (the last hero release I remember was Magnus) I left the game because it just wasn't the same anymore. I tried to return a few times after that but I couldn't get into it.
Quite a while back I tried to return and I couldn't log into my account. I assumed it was a glitch and I just disregarded it. Turns out the game has been completely abandoned by developers.
What I am really here for after all my reminiscing is to ask those who still play the game: When exactly did shit hit the fan?
Was it 5v5? Or was 5v5 a failed attempt to revive an already dying game? Was it Mobile Legends: BB? Catalyst Black? Or just general mismanagement? If it was mismanagement, how?
Because this game was thriving at one point. It was growing in popularity. It was being featured. There was even an e-sports scene.
Why did it have to die? I am just feeling really sad tonight, because it sank in that Vainglory will not return. It isn't a phoenix, no matter how hard we play in its ashes.
I hope someone can pinpoint the exact time of death. Maybe it will help us find closure.
If you still play VG then feel free to join this VG Discord server: https://discord.gg/wvyrTXwSNU (mostly NA)
Title. Idk was just reminded of this amazing game. I remember solo queueing just to get simply amazing. Those were the days
So I started MOBAs on vainglory and I know there are a lot of characters that have a LoL character that is very similar to them. My favorite and best character on Vainglory was Varya. Is there a LoL character that is closely related to her and what are the chances of them being able to be playable on Wild Rift? Varya was the lightening goddess by the way.
I wanna keep it on me else Iβm worried Iβll never find one.
It looks like total dogshit.
I havenβt played Vainglory much now since itβs lost fundings. I donβt really like any other moba games like vainglory. League of legends and other games like it just donβt cut it for me. Some people may say it was a terrible game but I truly enjoyed every aspect of it. I also loved the incredible graphics. I do try to check in on the game once in a while hoping it will come flying through the ashes like a phoenixβ¦.
Thatβd be a cool event if vainglory does come back. The rising of the phoenixβ¦
I'm a bit confused. Semc discontinued vg because they do not have the funds to keep the servers running and planned to hand it over to the community. However the servers are still being run by semc right? Even though they removed many features they did not alter the core gameplay which means that running the game should still be costing them some money. Am I not understanding this correctly?
First off I want to say I'm interested in finding a similar MOBA to play on PC, not mobile. By "similar" I mean a MOBA having the same concept of lanes, a shop, leveling up and upgrading hero skills like in Vainglory (I'm saying this because as far as I know Heroes of the storm doesn't have some of this complexity), and you'd instantly say LOL or Dota 2, but what puts me off is the sheer size of these games. Both of them have over 100 heroes each and that's a massive hero pool which I will never get to know unless I dedicate the next years of my life exploring it which is insane. And before you say "You just focus on mastering a few heroes and that's it" - yes, I don't plan on using many heroes, my issue is that every day I will be facing heroes I never faced before and I will have no clue who they are and what their abilities are which really sucks coming from a game like VG where I know what each hero does since the hero pool is small. So I'm looking for I guess a newer MOBA which is smaller in this regard and easier to get started with and if you know any, please share.
It's really buggy and it's like a brawlstars knockoff but I think it's just the nostalgia of seeing my old mains and skins that's keeping on there
I mained a couple people in Vainglory, namely Kestrel, but also Krul and Ardan. I was wondering what some champions similar to those three I could use to step in to League, but trying to look through 400 characters to find them seems a little obscene.
Any help is appreciated :)
Im planning on making a Vainglory "Trophy" for myself to 3D Print and I wanted some ideas for which characters would be on it.
My line up so far is Cath, Celeste, and Vox. The scene im going to model is going to be Cath doing her taunt pose except instead of her shield its the Vainglory Logo, to the left of cath I was going to model celeste in her A attack pose and to the right I was going to model vox in his "jamming to beats" pose
But this line up doesnt do the game justice I mean I wouldnt have junglers represented at all and I feel like I may just be going the lore route...
Edit: Current Lineup: -Catherine -Celeste -Taka -Vox -Arden -Kraken
Also any ideas on what skins I should do would be great too im still undecided on that.
Since the VG 3D models arent exactly public and I dont know how to rip from the game I would be creating them from scratch My process will be: Gather replay footage of the characters so i can view the full 3D Models, export the replay vid to Windows-> Use windows trim feature to get specific reference images -> Begin Modelling in blender-> Take a break from stress-> feel bad about the state of VG-> Finish modelling in blender -> 3D Print
If its cool with the community and any devs that are sticking around the reddit page still I would be happy to share my progress on it as I go
Edit: Standalone figures if everything goes well: -Adagio in his Ult pose ontop of runic ground -Skaarf letting the world burn -Koshka Taunting
If I somehow have more time but this is unlikely I will make a second iteration of the trophy.
Not necessarily saying this could happen anytime soon... but Personally i think VG could be published by a legit dev team sometime say 2or 3 or 4 or 5 years in the future. Similar to how several all tim3 classic games have been revived. I.e Halo remastered edition, cod modern warfare remastered, and old school runescape. I refuse to accept this game will be stuck in a community edition for the rest of eternity. I dont understand why semc wouldnt at the very least, lease out the rights of the game to a different publisher for some passive income.(like they previously did) You would think that at some point there may be a market for the best mobile game ever created. A re launch could potentially draw in alot of hype. Maybe if catalyst black fizzles they will re evaluate VG.
What do you guys think of this? Will vg ever be published by a dev team again?
Which hero/character in the game do you think represents the spirit of Vainglory best? Who captures the essence of the game like nobody else?
I have finally tried catalyst black and even after several games, I canβt help but think this game is more like mindless shooting game that you donβt really have to learn to play. That said, it removes the intellectual side that I get in playing VG because for you to successfully master VG you have to master heroes, their skills, weapons and crystal builds to fully realize the potential in each gameβ¦these are all not present in Catalyst Black. It still boggles my mind why would Superevil Megacorp would prioritize this over VGβ¦.
In arc 4 Subaru had briefly mentioned them. Do you guys think the caste would catch on?
Dear Super Evil Megacorp, I know it's been a very long time, but what can we do the help Vainglory? What supports do you need to get Vainlglory back? Do you need how much money, how much server space, other things that any of us could help even just a little?
Is there any Vainglory IF? If there where can I find it?
