A list of puns related to "Unpatterns"
My dermatologist told me I have more miniaturization than normal on the back/ sides of my scalp. I asked him if it was over 20% and he said he has no idea why that matter numbers and that heβs seen worse. Nonetheless, anyone have any luck with finasteride or oral minoxidil? The internet is a bit doom and gloom when it comes to DUPA, so Iβm just trying to figure out what to do next to attempt to slow it down. Thanks.
Can dutasteride and minoxidil be used to recover? There's no point of doing hair transplant. My front, side and back hair are very thin.

##Album Review ^via ^ResidentAdvisor
It's been three years since the release of Simian Mobile Disco's much-derided second album, Temporary Pleasures. James Ford and Jas Shaw were upbraided for an over-reliance on star names and spreading them over an unholy mish-mash of styles. Frankly, everyone involved sounded bored and uninspired. The irony was that Ford was making a great success of producing albums for indie heroes like Arctic Monkeys. And, as former members of Simian, Ford and Shaw had been riding the crest of a wave propelled by Justice's genre-fusing remix of "We Are Your Friends"βthe finest indie/dance crossover record since the heyday of Primal Scream and Happy Mondays.
The fight back began with 2010's Delicacies. A round-up of the dark, twisted techno EPs put out on SMD's Delicatessen label, it went above and beyond in addressing critics. Part two of that fight backβUnpatternsβsounds like redemption attained. There's some cannily-woven sorcery at work here. Unpatterns is very now, yet by employing key electronic music touchstones it sounds classic as well. Just take "Your Love Ain't Fair." Opening up with a cut-up, discofied vocal, SMD introduce blasts of huge, trad Chicago house synths and underpin it with a thumping bassline attack that's very Bashmore. "Put Your Hands Together" borrows from the looping, peak-time style of French house masters while "Seraphim" is four minutes of handsome techno soul with more than a hint of Photek's "Mine to Give." It features a slo-mo acid breakdown of magisterial beauty and an emotionally wrought vocal sample of Beatles muse-turned-cheesy-Brit-TV-host Cilla Black. Not only is it evidence of expert crate-digging but an ability to wrin
... keep reading on reddit β‘Lately Iβve been paranoid about if I have DUPA. yes, I know itβs rare, but when I part my hair/ lift my hair on the sides, it doesnβt take a lot to see my scalp despite my hair being 2-3 inches in length in those areas ( looks normal otherwise though). Iβve read on almost every website that has info on this hair loss type that typically, it starts in your early teens/ twenties, and is very visibly thin by the later half of your twenties. For what itβs worth, Iβm 30 now. Also, I find a few full length but super skinny, almost white (miniaturized?) hairs from these areas too, which worries me. anyways, input is appreciated to hold me over until my dermatologist appointment in a few weeks. Thanks
I'm quite sure a lot of you know about the condition called DUPA (Diffuse unpatterned alopecia) as it scares a lot of young men who worry that they may have it. I'm gonna tell you how to check that by yourself if you're panicked about it and can't have an expert opinion easily. Doing that will probably reassure a lot of you who think they may have DUPA as it is fairly rare in men (2-6% of men who inherited genetic balding). You need some equipments to do that :
-usb hand microscope (plenty on amazon for 20-30$)
-computer (everyone has a computer)
-hair clipper (you probably have that too)
DUPA is diagnosed when miniaturization in the donor area (back and sides of the head) significantly exceeds 20% of the total hair.
How to check that by yourself ?
1- Shave a 1cm diameter zone in the back of your head at the base of the skull, the hair must be cut
short, about 1-3mm long. You can repeat the same step with the sides of your head by shaving a
zone of the same diameter above your ear. I know that you probably don't want to make holes in
your hair, but it's for a good cause. Go at the barber shop the day after and just say that you fell
asleep during a party and some guy thought it was fun to do a hair clipper prank.
2- Turn on the usb hand microscope (I personally used x40 magnification but you can go as low as x10)
you will need to install a software to use the microscope, it will probably be explained in the user
manual that comes with the microscope.
3-Put the microscope over the shaved area, wait until the focus is made and press the capture button
on the microscope to get a screenshot of the area you want to check. It should look like that :
3mm long hair, donor area, right side of the head, x40 magnification
As you can see in the example, the hair is 3mm long and it's still a bit tricky to properly count and assess them, shorter than that is even better.
4-Open the screenshot with a software like paint and count the miniaturized hairs as seen in the
following picture:
3 mm long hair, donor area, back of the head, x40 magnification
As you can see in the photo above, the arrows are pointing to the miniaturized hairs. This

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

People have asked me about DUPA ever since I published this condition in a premier medical journal in 1996. The good news is that this is a rare condition and the diagnosis is easily made with the use of a video hand microscope (can be purchased for under $50 on Amazon). The key to the microscopic diagnosis (which is definitive) is a miniaturization count in excess of 20%. Usually the DUPA patients have 50% or more miniaturization as you can see in the first of the many post I put up on Baldingblog.com over the years ( https://newhair.com/baldingblog/?s=dupa ). Clinically, one has a high degree of suspicion when the donor area in the back of the head is see-through but a microscopic examination for its diagnosis is critical. About half of men with DUPA respond to some degree to finasteride. Men with DUPA should never get a hair transplant because it will fail (I have seen too many surgeons do hair transplants on DUPA patients and then then come to me with their failures). Make sure that if you are thinking about a hair transplant that your doctor examines your donor area with a hand video microscope.

Since the last thread about "whisker hairs" died too quickly for anybody to see my response about a potential treatment solution, I'm reposting it here along with an interesting article I found about the subject that suggest that SOME cases of hair kinkering are linked to Seborroeic Dermativis ( which I seem to have along with Psoriasis I think ).P26 of the article : "Progressive kinking of the hair has been reported in patients with seborrhoeic dermatitis as well as in patients with psoriasis undergoing treatment with retinoids..."http://www.iscd.it/files/TWO-CASES-OF-PROGRESSIVE-KINKING-OF-THE-HAIR.pdf

Biologically male under the age of 25 here, with exactly what you're describing above. Am a natural NW2 with a widow peak (not a "mature hairline" since I've had it all my life), however, I've got some sort of DUPA / APHK going on here.Only the left and right sides of my scalp (above and behind the ear, the side temples a bit as well) are affected, hairline and crown and the hair on my neck (which usually seems to be affected) are in perfect conditions, and no history of hairloss in my family except for a female relative.I've been trying to reverse it and so far, I am being partially successful, the affected hair used to be :
- fine/thin
- black
- easily pulleable (on top of the fact it barely grew compared to the surrounding hairs, which is very noticeable for me, because my healthy hairs grow way faster than average, easily 1.2-1.5 cm per month)
- curly (am supposed to be straight/wavy hairwise)
- packed in a very low density, scalp visible
Now it's :
- Much more thicker than what it used to be (still slightly thinner than the healthy hairs, and as for the hair density, it isn't quite what it used to be compared to when I was a child, but it's already much much better, I went from having next to no hair density, almost as if I tried to badly buzz the left and right side of my scalp, to a much more accepteable hair count, but I feel like I could definitively still improve that).
- Slowly getting back it's original texture ( straight-ish / wavy, and no longer easily pulleable ), but it's still black ( am supposed to be reddish-brown haired ).
- It's growing out again, certainly not at the speed my healthy hairs are, but it's definitively growing out again.
Dad jokes are supposed to be jokes you can tell a kid and they will understand it and find it funny.
This sub is mostly just NSFW puns now.
If it needs a NSFW tag it's not a dad joke. There should just be a NSFW puns subreddit for that.
Edit* I'm not replying any longer and turning off notifications but to all those that say "no one cares", there sure are a lot of you arguing about it. Maybe I'm wrong but you people don't need to be rude about it. If you really don't care, don't comment.

I won't be doing that today!
