A list of puns related to "University Of Nottingham"

I was in a very difficult place after results day two years ago as I had received very poor grades because of mild depression earlier in the year. Upon receiving my grades on results I had severe depression for a while and also suffered from depersonalisation (a severe disorder where it felt as if I was living in a dream) and I didnβt know what to do with my life.
I looked for the relevant help and planned what Iβd do over the next year and did the entire UCAS process again, got all 5 of my offers to top Russel Group unis despite having failing my three A-Levels and I smashed my exams after self-teaching myself everything.
I then ended up going to the University of Nottingham and finished my first year a few months ago. I received a lot of advice from people on this sub at the time as well as the UniUK sub so I thought itβs time to give back to the community.
Ask me any questions that you may about A-Levels, Nottingham or University life and Iβd be glad to answer them!
I'm applying for Computer Science and finalizing my choices before January 15th. I'm confident in most of my decisions but I don't know which one to pick between these two.
Is either school known to be particularly good/bad in this department? Is there a significant difference in the available faculties? AFAIK they're about equal when it comes to results and prestige -- feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm actually more interested in the cities than the schools themselves. Does either city have a particularly bad reputation? Is the student population higher in either one? How's the student job market in them? I'm from the EU so assume I know nothing.
I come from a middle class family but my parent's can't exactly afford to sustain me on UK prices with our country's wages. It would be great if I could survive independently. My family can offer me the support of about 300 pounds a month.
Another thing. I have De Montfort University as a sort of insurance choice due to their low entry requirements. Student satisfaction seems pretty high, post-graduation wages appear satisfactory, and their websites is not raising any red flags for me, so it seems to me like a perfectly fine school for its requirements. However, my consultant has called it "one of the worst schools in all of the UK". Who am I supposed to trust here?
Sorry for writing such a long post, but I know just as little about Leicester as I do Notts or Liverpool. I've heard it's really easy to survive a part-time job wage there. Apparently the night life is pretty sweet as well. If you still feel like answering more of my questions, I'd appreciate any information on the city!

Hi guys, i hope everyone is doing well. Good luck to those who have already started their Unis. But guys, i will be starting my Uni next week- doing Mechanical Engineering at Uni of Nottingham. So, i was just wondering if there is anyone else going down there? Cuz i literally don't know anyone!
Iβm an international development and international relations student at the University of Amsterdam, and I applied to study a semester at the University of Nottingham NingBo. Mainly because 1 Iβm interested in non-western cultures 2 It is cheaper than most of the other destinations in the global exchange programme 3 The university offers many courses concerning international relations 4 I am considering a master abroad / international career
I have already applied for a Mandarin course, so I can somewhat communicate with the local people at the time Iβll arrive.
How is the city? How is the university? Are there any measures I should take before moving to NingBo? How is life as a western student in NingBo, or China in general?

Fire now seems to be under control, no casualties have been reported.
Official statement from Dr Paul Greatrix, Registrar at The University of Nottingham: >"Firefighters are currently on site dealing with a major fire at our GSK sustainable chemistry building on Jubilee Campus. "Thankfully, there have been no casualties as this is a building that was still under construction. Our number one priority is to ensure that the fire does not spread to other buildings in the vicinity and we are grateful to the fire teams on site who have worked extremely hard to contain the blaze. "Tomorrow we are due to welcome prospective students and their families to Nottingham for our Open Day and we would like to stress that this is still going ahead as planned."

How is MSc in Human Computer Interaction at University of Nottingham? Also, if anyone could share a little more about the university, accommodation and student life, it would be great.
Hey guys, so I recently finished my pre-u course and I'm looking at which university to study. I guess I'm looking towards science degrees, particularly environmental science, marine biology, or biotech, or something in that relevant field. Nottingham offers environmental science and that seems likely for me.
Anyone from nottingham can lend some advice? About the place and the uni application process and stuff. Also anyone in this field, any advice at all would be greatly appreciated thanks:)
Hi. Im looking to apply to uni soon and Sheffield and Nottingham seem to be my top 2 right now. Im looking at a Computer Science course as it is what im doing at the moment, and was just wondering on the opinion of those unis overall and specifically in that subject area too, and also any other information.
Ive been to an open day at the University of Sheffield and really liked it and could see it being my #1, but I've still got Nottingham to go to and possibly others too.
Thanks :)
The last day of general election campaigning saw Busshytailed visit the University of Nottingham, where he is due to deliver his summarising speech at the David Ross Sports Village this evening. He spent the morning, as preparations were underway, meeting with the Defence and Strategic Procurement unit, where academics discussed their defence research and their thoughts on nuclear deterrence and the Trident question. Busshytailed spoke positively of the discussions after the meeting. He stood in the hall where he is later to deliver his speech, which was full of the hustle and bustle of his campaign team setting up the stage and surrounding area:
>I am delighted to be able to visit the University of Nottingham today where I will be delivering my final summarising speech this evening. It has been a long and bitterly contested election for all of the candidates across the country, and tomorrow the biggest assessment of their efforts will given by the electorate.
>I took the opportunity this morning whilst I was here to meet with the Defence Unit at the University of Nottingham. I had enlightening and logical discussions with a number of the people working here who, alongside many of the wonderful universities in the country, provide us all with invaluable research and advice on matters of defence. In particular we discussed Trident and the importance of Nuclear deterrence in light of recent events. There were a mixture of different opinions on the potential for replacements to the system, but all of those attending were generally in favour of a review irrespective of their opinion on the matter.
>Only by carrying out those conversations and bringing in the best minds in the country in defence matters can we outline our steps moving forward when it comes to this all important question. The university is one of two in the area with respected credentials, and I hope they will be just one of many who participate in discussions regarding the way in which we should move forward in this area, balancing the best defence with the most reasonable cost.
Whilst preparations continued, Busshytailed took the opportunity to door knock in the Beeston area of Nottingham, which is home to the highest number of local residents behind the inner city itself.
