Weather here is currently really nice, but I can't plant anything in the ground until May. Since I'm working from home, I've already started bringing my plants outside to start the hardening off process. If in April, we get a couple weeks of cold/cloudy weather and I keep the plants inside during that time, will I need to redo the hardening process or will the plants still be able to handle the sun after a couple weeks away from it?
As an atheist, I pride myself in my acceptance of all of the ugly, as well as beautiful, parts of life that make up our reality. The ugly parts largely explain why I don't believe in a God. How can I believe a loving, omnipotent being set a perfect plan in motion for us while the starving, the tortured, and the suffering cry out for the help of deities, but receive no answer?
Unfortunately, I had been thinking so much about the negative aspects of our life here, that I became cynical and jaded. I found myself rolling my eyes more often when people were excited. I wasn't having discussions with people about their philosophical and religious belief systems, I was doing my best to poke holes in them and advocate for my own without hearing them out fully. This cynicism was compounded by a painful breakup that changed the way I viewed relationships and dealt with women.
Rather than entering discussions with an open mind and an empathetic heart, I was found myself talking at others while crossing my arms and sneering in contempt. When I read scientific publications, I was no longer trying to expand my understanding of the natural world and marvel at what was left to be discovered, but trying to build a compendium of facts to be used exclusively in debate. I had lost my sense of wonder.
Then, a Christian posted this video on facebook of my family's good friend (and favorite pastor) Rob Bell. (Yeah, he does a weird snake walk in the video, but the message is important).
Although couldn't accept his belief system because it remains wholly unsubstantiated, I realized that Rob had a point: I had become a spectator in my life, rather than a participant. I had focused so much on the uglier parts of life that I was failing to recognize the more beautiful parts when I saw them.
This is a reminder to retain your sense of wonder, to be childlike, to be totally engrossed in moments of beauty and discovery, while still accepting the more negative aspects of our reality.

I thought this was a great find and wanted to use it as a home-base but I'm wondering how to "un harden" or make "pickable" the books on the shelves, paintings on the walls, plants and so on... I can't figure it out

All the eldians in the internment zone, were freaking out, but the Marleyan guards refused to believe them. Ymir was known for making bridges(though it wasn’t confirmed whether it was made by hardening), there should be quite a few hardened monuments outside the walls. The world should have been suspicious and could have taken precautions. Maybe that’s why the warrior parents are still alive.
Hello, CyberArk community! I am currently learning how to implement 11.4 in a staging server and I have met this issue: I have hardened the PSM server using the built-in script. Chrome in the PSM server does not connect to a administrative website (Gaia checkpoint) because the Gaia server is using the internal certificate to form the https connection. I found out by using the PSM server directly to launch chrome and access the Gaia admin interface, because connecting through the PVWA gives me the result that the username element cannot be found.
How do I unharden the PSM server? Do I create a standalone root CA for both the PSM & Gaia server? Are there any other ways to work around this?
Does Alistair actually want to be king? It's very unclear in the game. He clearly loves being a Grey Warden, and understands that he doesn't have any experience ruling anything. From this, I interpreted that he really does not want to be king. However, he gets very tetchy if you seem to support Anora, and asks something to the effect of "I thought we were planning to depose her?" From this, it seems like he actually does want to be king. The game gives you very, very limited opportunities to talk to him about any of this, so I'm having a hard time figuring it out.
EDIT: In my game, I hardened Alistair, but I'd be interested in knowing its different between a hardened and unhardened Alistair.
I see a lot of questions on here from people who feel as if they have hardened their hearts. Maybe they don't feel conviction anymore - Maybe they feel far from God. But there is one thing I want to point you towards, and then offer a few thoughts.
One, be encouraged. The type of person that is truly hard of heart would have no cares about sinning, no cares about spitting in God's face, and not even bother to write a post like this. That at least gives evidence that there is still a bit of softness to your heart. So take courage!
Now, I want to offer you a few thoughts:
1- What is the hardness of heart? It's interesting that we always tie conviction of sin with "hardness of heart". I guess we just think "If I was really soft in heart I'd feel terrible about this sin, but I don't, so maybe my heart isn't soft?" I totally resonate with this as I myself have gone down this train of thought before. But it begs a question we must contemplate. What is hardness of heart?
Consider Mark 8:17 - Where Jesus is talking to his disciples about spiritual reality and using bread as a metaphor, but the disciples cannot see the spiritual reality and keep thinking Jesus is talking about real bread. Jesus responds: "17 And Jesus, aware of this, said to them, “Why are you discussing the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened?" So we see here that even the disciples of Jesus have a moment where their hearts are hardened and they cannot rightly perceive and see.
In answering what hardness of heart is, remember that in the Bible when the heart is spoken of, it's usually meant as the hub of a person. From it their thoughts, actions, and desires flow. And when it becomes hardened, it blocks us from seeing and perceiving rightly. Like in Mark 8:17 above.
So this makes sense why after a season of particular giving into sin over and over we might feel less conviction. Because we've worn down our hearts, we've hardened it by disobedience, lies, and rebellion. Sin causes our hearts to grow cold and hard. So if I'm you, I'd spend some honest time in my life. Where am I lying? Disobeying? Giving over to sin?
