A list of puns related to "Trilogy"
Hello there. Rookie to this subreddit. I personally enjoyed a lot of MauLer's materials, such as his star wars sequel trilogy trilogy (pun intended since he almost made 3 for each of them) as well as his MooLer EFAP channel. Mere words can't express my excitement of his contents, as well as Rag's channel, i mean Rags.
Jokes aside, I want to know why is there some controversy of the star wars prequel trilogy? Some people don't like it. Some people do. Personally, I love it mostly because of the memes. But if you were to ask me whether I hate it or not, well, surely not as bad as the sequel trilogy. So, is there a hate? if yes, why so?
I'm probably gonna get slaughtered because of this but here we go: POTC is a better trilogy than LOTR. It has more enjoyable characters, it's funnier, better music, better villains, better fight scenes and a far less toxic fanbase. Also none of the characters in LOTR comes close to captain Jack Sparrow. Also I never really enjoyed medieval fantasy so that's also I reason why I think POTC is better. Bring on the hatestorm!

Thatβs not to say thereβs no objective critiques you can give for the game (the boat, Mia and Ethan being kind of weak character wise, etc.), but I absolutely despise people who lack the imagination or creative wear-withal to appreciate the return-to-its-roots that is RE7.
The context: Koei Tecmo re-released this game on Steam last week by porting the Switch version to Steam. Supposedly these are the "definitive versions" of the Atelier Mysterious Trilogy...
The problem(s): The previous versions they already released on Steam 4+ years ago had better graphics. They also removed the old versions (PS4 ports) from the Steam store so if you're a previous owner who wants some DLC, you'd have to buy the entire games again (Switch ports this time) if you wanted to play with the DLCs. The base price went up from 30$ to 40$ and they don't even offer any loyalty discount for previous owners.
I don't know why it's mostly Japanese devs that do this. Re-releasing a game with small additions or improvements that already had a fully functioning game on PC, making the older version unpurchaseable, and then upping the base price and/or charging full price to previous owners. We've seen this before in Dark Souls, Dark Souls 2, and Dragon Quest XI (though DS1 and 2 gave a loyalty discount)... Couldn't they just patch the older versions with the improvements or sell the "upgrades" as DLCs instead of making you buy the entire game again for the upgrades? Worse are these "Definitive Editions" that are graphically worse than their older versions... I have nothing against the Switch or budget-looking graphics (the 2016 Atelier Sophie PC version had budget-looking graphics anyways) but I don't think they should be able to call it the "Definitive Edition" when this Switch port looks worse than the 2016 PC version.
Sometimes I think some devs just add a patch or re-release their games and slap "Deluxe", "GOTY", "Definitive", "Super Ultra", "Ultimate", etc etc... Just so they could charge full price again for their 5+ year old game.
Sorry for my post looking more like a rant but I just want more people to be aware of this practice and I'd also like to know what people think about this. Thanks.
The only examples of this I can think of off the top of my head are the aforementioned original Star Wars trilogy, the Star Wars prequel trilgoy, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Aladdin (1992) and the first two Evil Dead movies. Alternate versions such as directors cuts don't really count, I'm specifically looking for movies which have been altered after their theatrical release. This could include things being edited out, CGI being added, music being changed, etc. Anything which compromises the films original version. I'll provide some imformation and links below about the alterations I've mentioned in this post.
Star Wars (1977):

Return of the Jedi (1983):

The Phantom Menace (1999):
The Yoda puppet which appeared in the theatrical cut of the film is replaced with a CGI model. Additionally the Pod Race sequence has a longer introduction and a second lap of the race, Watto cheering for Sebulba has been removed.
Attack of the Clones (2002):
A few special effects which were not ready for the initial wide release were completed. The DVD features this version with some extended lines of dialogue. The 2011 Blu-ray features a small editing change to the Coruscant speeder chase, adds a voiceover to Anakin's vision of Schmi and changes the order of shots depicting Count Dooku's escape.
Revenge of the Sith (2005):
More digital moss is added to the treehouses of Kashyyyk.
E.T. (1982):
Government agents who originally held guns when persuing E.T. and Elliot now hold walkie-talkies. A line regarding a character dressing like "a terrorist" in the Halloween scene has been changed to dressing like "a hippie."
Aladdin (1992):
The song Arabian Nights had to alter one of it's lines due to backlash.

The Evil Dead (1981):

I would open the movie with all of the original villians back and even more powerful than before, and Lone Star and the Princess apart for no reason. Just like Force Awakens.
I've never read any Warhammer books, never even HEARD of Warhammer before, never read a grimdark book, but I'm interested. I've heard that the Eisenhorn trilogy is a good place to start, but first I wanted to ask this subreddit, which seems dedicated to 40k lore. Is the Eisenhorn trilogy a good starting point, also what can I expect from the story? Is it enjoyable to someone who knows nothing about the Warhammer universe?

Do you know if you have to dub an upcoming Spider-Man movie anytime soon?

When I open instagram, the "top" question is this. I have contact with the heads of Warner, in this case Sony, there was a moment when I thought: this is fake, but yes, this is going to happen, I don't know when, but we are going to work on it.
UPDATE: The original video was deleted, edited and re-upload, but here is the source. https://twitter.com/cebapuerta/status/1379062969259192322
I just started a replay of Origins. After finishing Odyssey and Valhalla... I believe Origins to be the best of the new trilogy. Shocked in ways. The game just seems to have more focus... And stealth is actually a thing. I just purchased "the curse of the pharaohs", as I didn't play that part in my first run through. Looking forward to reaching that part, but playing on hard, I am now level 15 and enjoying ALL of this super game.
Hey guys. I played through DS1 (Remastered) a few months ago. I was truly at a loss for words. After years of playing garbage RPGs, it felt so good to play something so fresh, magical, and downright awesome. It gave me the same feeling that I had back when I was much younger and played through Dragon Age Origins for the first time (i.e the feeling of "holy crap this RPG game is the bomb").
I am currently on DS3. The game is good. VERY good. But it isn't DS1..... There isn't that spark/magic that was there when I played DS1.
Does anyone else feel the same way? I don't know, just wanted to discuss how amazing DS1 really is.
Oh and, on a side note: What the absolute fuck were they thinking with DS2? Seriously. Like who greenlighted that game? I still can't believe people even TRY to compare to the other two in the series.
You lived through the prequel. You lived through the original series. Now it's back for more action in the exciting never ending series, dear God help us all it just won't die!
