A list of puns related to "Triangulum Galaxy"
In TNG episode "Where no one has gone before", the Traveller accidentially sends the Enterprise over two million light years to the far side of Triangulum. Whilst there only briefly, they send a subspace message of their status to Starfleet, which would take an inordinate amount of time to arrive. I propose they were detected, and their subspace signal was approximately plotted by Species 10-C.
Species 10-C sent their gargantuan vessel to investigate, with it finally arriving 800 years later. 10-C were expecting an advanced Galaxy (one which could send ships millions of lightyears in an instance) which it's gravitational anomaly-based propulsion methods wouldn't pose any problems to.
