A list of puns related to "Deneb"
I've been developing custom visuals for some time now, and have even managed to get a couple into AppSource. One thing that initially tested my patience is the difficulty in getting started in developing them - particularly as when we need to upskill, we have some kind of deadline looming. This can be a big jump for BI professionals, as there aren't many of us that readily bridge the data/BI and web development domains. There's also a lot of talented creators that may not want to go down this particular path, but could do a lot more with their visuals if a language like DAX or M were exposed (without it being full-blown HTML/CSS/JS).
As such, I've been obsessed with the Vega and Vega-Lite languages for a long time. These use JSON rather than full-blown code, and allow you to build a visual from the ground-up using a grammar of graphics, much like ggplot2 in R or Altair in Python (which is actually an implementation of Vega/Vega-Lite).
While they're great for people who are already experienced in these languages, the potential downsides to R and Python in Power BI is that we can't add interactivity features, and we need local runtimes when developing using them in Desktop. We also need to rely on libraries available in the Service (or behind a gateway). They also don't play nicely with mobile or publish to web.
Another great thing about these options is that although they aren't a drag and drop UI, we can work at a relatively high-level of a particular language and perhaps do a bit more within the canvas, or lift and shift other types of visual that we don't conventionally see in Power BI.
Because Vega and Vega-Lite are built on TypeScript/JavaScript, they're a great fit for something like a custom visual. The runtimes can be packaged and are therefore portable, and they can potentially be integrated with the Power BI visual APIs.
I've been prototyping this idea for a while and in April, I made my attempt - Deneb - available for public preview. I've been iterating over the last few months since then in conjunction with folks in the community and I'm happy to announce that version 1.0 has just gone live in AppSource, and is now available within Power BI Desktop.
It's also passed certificatio
... keep reading on reddit β‘Attempting to create a clustered lipstick chart with Deneb since it doesn't appear to be possible with built-in or free app store visuals. I'm able to achieve this fairly easily using layers and xOffset. The only issue is that it doesn't quite behave the same as clustered column charts that are next to it.
Namely, I'm trying to find a way to set a maximum step size so that the columns aren't so wide.
Power BI vs Deneb bar thickness with only one year selected
When i have three years selected the width is good:
Good width when three years selected
I can specify the step size in the width attribute, but then the visual width gets narrowed to "number of steps" x "step width" and i end up with this, which is definitely not right:
Any ideas? Apologies if post formatting is bad...
I was observing the night sky, specifically Jupiter and Saturn with the naked eye. Seeing conditions in southeastern Wisconsin were excellent. At about UTC 12:24AM, I saw a bright, stationary flash come from Deneb Algedi in the Capricornus constellation. I could tell it was this star because of its current proximity to Jupiter. The flash was nearly as bright as Jupiter, and lasted about 0.75s. There were no planes or satellites in the area.
I am wondering if there is a sky survey I could checkout, or if anyone else happened to catch this.
Hello all. Just got the game, played through the tutorials, and I just finished the 'brain whale' mission.
I followed the guidance prompts as best I understood, failed multiple times, only barely won when I finally beat it, and I'm still not sure what I did right or wrong. Am I completely dense or is this an intentionally difficult mission? Confused as to why it's one of the first missions after the tutorial. Genuinely baffled.
Since I am a first-generation student, I have been invited to the Deneb STARS program. I was wondering if anyone else has any experience with this program? Or if it would even be beneficial to join?
I just committed, and Iβm wondering if Deneb STARs is worth it or if thereβs any cons to it or anything. Thank you for the information!

The planet of Brufort has always managed to remain under the radar of Charted Space at large. The mining companies support their workers as they bring up bountiful hauls of precious Zuchai crystals and, despite the presence of dangerous fauna, the people were happy. That happiness would not last.
A missing ship brings the Travellers to this backwater. What seems like a simple recovery mission puts them at odds with an outside force that has taken over the planet. Will they be able to help the people of Brufort in a determined resistance or will they be cast out and left to the mercy of the red death that haunts the surrounding jungles?
Deneb Algedi culminates, and the unafflicted Moon: *applies a conjunction to it, *trines ASC and the Nodes, *sextiles the DSC, the Sun, Mars and Mercury!
Mars trines IC and sextiles the MC, squares Saturn of of sign, but is in the 11th and sextiled by the moon, while Saturn is tucked into the 8th, even though is dignified by sign and by Jupiter's conjunction.
The Sun sextiles MC and trines IC.
My only concern is the debilitated and combust Mercury, Lord of the 1st house.
Fuck, marry or kill? What would you suggest? Do I do it? Is all this even important or do I just need the unafflicted Moon conjunct the culminating star for a fixed star talisman?
