Once the bilirubin molecule enters the cell, it is bound to the cytosolic proteins like glutathione S-transferase, also called ligandin, to prevent its re-entry into the bloodstream.

is this statement correct? I thought glutathione S-transferase is an enzyme, not a protein.

Anyone know why Gamma Glutamyl Transferase (GGT) is low for many people on Keto ?

Thoughts from the peanut gallery ?

A good chunk of my Keto patients have lower than normal range for GGT.

I dont think this happened very frequently before Keto.
