I'm working and studying Enrolled Nursing in Brisbane. I have been here since April and thoroughly don't like it. I'm considering transferring to Toowoomba. I want to complete my EN study, try get a position then apply to the uni to continue onto RN.
I've been there twice before and I liked it.
I Just came up from Brisbane straight into classic Toowoomba weather, I remember whole weeks like this when I was a kid...
What are some of the local spots up to 45 mins out of town that arenβt brisbane or the sunflower fields?? Need something to get me out of the house (pretty nature places or abandoned things to explore)

Hello all, just finished school quite recently and was looking for a group of anyone really who plays dnd or something of the sorts. I wasnβt sure how to find a group so this post will have to do. I am 17 years old, male, comfortable with the rules of dnd but might need some guidance here and there, really just looking for any open campaigns with a spot available for another player. If anyone has any tips on how to find a group it would be greatly appreciated.

Bit of a last minute post, hope it's ok. Heard there was a chocolate factory to check out and there should be a good selection of gardens to look at haha. Just wanted to know if there was anything special going on or anything special to look at since I am already up here. Generally, will be pleased with anything food related.

Hopefully this isn't too annoying to people. My wife and I are looking at moving to Toowoomba towards start of next year. 39m 28f
We are coming from Perth, I can change my job with my company but my wife has been struggling recently with employment. She has Masters degree in political studies and has worked in regional local government as Cultural Community Supervisor. At this point she doesn't know if wants to go that way as is starting an online business. In the mean time she would just like any kind of regular employment, be it bar work or the like.
Are the opportunities there for such things? It's not a huge concern at the moment but just hoping she won't be stuck in same cycle as has been in Perth.
Adding to this, Perth has just become too big for us now. Traffic and roadworks everywhere, busy busy all the time. Wife just wants a little bit slower place, I told her we can't quite get a sleepy regional town, but what is the general atmosphere of Toowoomba? Comfortable driving around and finding parking at places?

We've both always dreamed of hunting; always loved fishing, and just got our firearm safety paperwork out of the way. Neither of us have any family members left who could show us the ropes however, so figured I'd take a chance here. No rush; we're both health professionals who love meeting and enjoying the company of a wide variety of types :)
