A list of puns related to "Tire Pressure Monitoring System"
Not sure how to deal with this dashboard error - the exclamation within a tire icon is showing (left of the headlights icons) and Caution exclamation in the triangle (left of the fuel economy gauge), but I can't seem to find any further metrics on this in any of the system menus, nor in the online manual.
Is this a sensor error that requires this to go into the dealership, or is it something I can check out and find the issue at home? For that matter, I can't find anywhere that actually shows current tire pressure. I did get my winter tires on about a month ago.
Thanks for any tips or ideas!
ETA - After speaking to Hyundai Service Dept, this IS an issue that it needs to go in for as there may be a malfunctioning sensor.
So I just recently bought a 2019 Camaro. I was leaving the dealership last night cuz I had to resign some paperwork. Hit the Interstate and I ran over something trying to merge on and I thought it was the Front Left Tire that hit whatever it was. Bout 5 mins later my Front Right Tire is reading it's at 28 PSI. Go to a Gas Station. Fill it to 32. And now the PSI is saying 27.
I read online that it takes 10-15 mins of driving for it to update. I woke up this morning and check and it's at 26 PSI. I got like tire warranties for it so I'm wondering. Should I try and get it back to the dealership and have them check the tire and system? Is the system faulty? Or do I need to actually DRIVE for 10-15 mins in order for the system to update my tire reading accurately?
Also I checked the tire. It's firm just like the others. It was lower on pressure compared to the others but when I filled it to 32 it's as firm as the other 3. So it was probably at 28 for real but now it feels fine but the system keeps saying it's getting lower and lower like it's leaking.
I dunno what to do so I decided to come here since y'all have had y'all Camaro's for much longer and I'm sure someone here has been in this exact situation. What did you do?
Attempted to relearn the tire monitoring system today on my 2011 cruze ls but one tire did not want to reset. Might that mean i have a bad sensor?
Tire pressure has been checked and air has been added, but the TPMS will blink then stay on. Does anyone know how to reset the TPMS on a 2013 Sentra without having to take it to a professional?
I've always rotated my own tires or have Costco do it for free if I purchased through them, but I'm uncertain what happens to the location designations when I swap the right front with the right rear for example; for instance, will my dash then display the PSI for the right front as the right rear? And on the same subject, I am assuming that tire rotation is not part of the original warranty...is that correct?
Anyone else have this problem? It's a '19 Silverado RST. Took it to the dealer twice and last time I asked what to do next time it comes on to which they assured me it won't. Warning and light came on the next day.
I'm hoping to find a KTM made or other reliable TPMS for the 2021 390 Duke. I thought about just getting digital caps but the last thing I want is for a sensor to fail while I'm doing 80 on the freeway. Would prefer a professionally installed solution if anyone has a reference!
UPDATE - In case anyone comes across something similar. My MAP sensor had broken and was messing around with the voltage and a bunch of other things. They replaced it and it's running fine now!

I drive a 2016 Golf 1.8 TSI
This has happened twice to me in the past couple months:
I start my car, started to drive, and these two errors come up on the dash: Error: Stabilization ControlΒ (ESC) Error: Tire Pressure Monitoring SystemΒ The car then proceedes to stop and the brakes seize up - the pedal is locked and I can't push it. Tonight when this happened, I was stuck in the middle of the road and we had to push my car into a nearby parking lot. Once the car is turned off, when I go to start it, the ignition tries to start but the car won't turn on. Here's a video trying to start the car.
The first time this happened, I left it for an hr, came back, it started. Managed to drive to get a new battery (thought that was the issue), and it broke down again on the way there. Replaced the battery, all has been good for a couple months, until tonight.
Tonight this happened again. Managed to start my car after leaving it ~20 min. Cancelled the tow truck and drove home (it was a short drive but near the end it started revving a bit...) All errors are cleared but now the check engine light is on...
I'm calling a shop in the morning, but I had a diagnostic done after the first time, and nothing was found.
Note: both times this happened, I hadn't driven the car in a few days beforehand (5-9 days).
My car has also been making a "chugga chugga chugga" kind of rotating sound, and when I accelerate, the speed of the sound increases and it gets quieter...lol not sure how else to describe that. It's not too loud but definitely noticeable.
Any ideas or similar experiences?
Hello all, I'm new to raspberry pi stuff and I'm looking for recommendations on the best software for app development? The research I've done is leading me to believe that I might need 4GB of RAM to run apps but I've also read that raspberry pi doesn't require much RAM to work efficiently. The project I'm working on is trying to make my old 94 wrangler more tesla-ish. I'm starting with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System and I need to make an app that reads the data that the Tire Pressure Sensors transmits and hopefully display it nicely. Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks!
Anyone had the flashing tire light? I have stock wheels that are totally dechromed. Going to replace. Wondered whether anyone thing tire pressure monitoring system is silly and found a way to kill the light with a fuse adjustment.

Not a car guy. So I noticed that the front driver's side tire looked a little low a couple of weeks ago so I thought (in retrospect probably foolishly) hey I'll wait until the TPMS light starts flashing (I know it comes on at start up since I can see the icon) and see what that looks like. But it never came on and when I took the pressure reading with a cheap gauge it came up about 23. I believe the recommended pressure is 33. The cheap gauge notwithstanding would you all have suspected I should have received a warning. The tire didn't look 10 psi low but what do I know. I went ahead and filled it up to about 33 and now it looks slightly fuller then the other 3. I suppose again in retrospect I should have checked the other tires while I was getting gas but I didn't. Also I thought that after adding air I should have been notified to recalibrate but I didn't get that either.
