A list of puns related to "Tinman"
Loved the maron on todayβs ep. With last weekβs clip show, it got me thinking of underrated bits. I think tinMAN, TSA agent Kurn, and Mr. Bajoran relic need more love. What are some other underrated in your opinion?
Dorothy felt the touch of Scarecrowβs hand on her shoulders from behind, ill intent radiating like balmy warmth under the unforgiving sun.
βScarecrow? Tin Woodman?β
βDorothy, I am sorry for this,β Scarecrow said, obvious glee in his voice.
βYou understand, Dorothy,β the Tin Man said, his tone quavering slightly. Cold steel came close towards her, sending chills down her spine. βI could not think of anything else.β
Dorothy looked ahead, staring at the infinite expanse of the yellow brick road. It looked like there was no way out for her.
βWhere is Lion and Toto?β
The two did not answer. Instead, she felt the instruments of death tighten around her, and the wetness soaking into her dress.
βScarecrow,β Dorothy said. βThis isnβt right. Surely you have enough of a heart to know that?β
βThey were but animals,β Scarecrow said. βThey followed nothing but their instincts. Ask the crows that picked at my straw.β
βTin Man,β she said. βYou should be smart enough to know this is not a good idea.β
βIβm not the one with the brains,β Tin Woodman jittered. βButβ¦ soonβ¦β
Dorothy felt the dark cloud of fear in her mind, growing across the whole sky. But then, wrathful thunderbolts crashed within, and she steeled her heart.
βMonsters,β Dorothy whispered, her fists clenched so tight and white that they were starker than her silver shoes.
βWe are not monsters. Justβ¦β Scarecrow hesitated. βMen. Men looking to fulfil their lifelong desires.β
βThis? This is your lifelong desire? And what do you call cold-blooded murder? A good plan?β
βThe best we could think of,β the Tin Man said.
In the next second, a flurry of blows struck Dorothy. There was the hard-packed haymaker, and the sharp axe, Dorothy braced herself for the inevitable pain that followed, and then the end.
Instead, the two rebounded off her, shocked gasps followed by hard thumps and clattering.
βWhat?β the Scarecrow cried. βWhat just happened?β
Dorothy thought back to the soft kiss on her foreheadβof radiant warmth, of nothing but love. And she remembered what she had just felt. She spun around, growling as she stared at the duo on the ground, and imagined the smug looks on their face but moments before.
Now, they cowered. Oh, how they cowered! Dorothy advanced on the two of them, feeling powerful magic welling up from within her.
βYou dare try and harm me? I took you as companions in good faith, and this is how you repay me?β
βPlease,β Scarecrow whimpered. βPlease.β
βI didnβt think this through,β

But I will not make an episode for a podcast and go on a long ass tangent about how much I love the tinman? Unless the actual said podcast is about ..Idon't know the tinman? Am I just alone in thinking this? The description of the episode sounded so great. But I swear some of the stuff they talk about its like what the hell. Maybe I am alone in thinking this.
You're off to see the wizard. The wonderful wizard of Oz. Snip, snip.
Just follow the yellow brick road, past the tenement and the slums. Snip, snip
If ever a wiz there was, The Wizard of Oz is one because of the wonderful things he does. Snip, snip.
Not to mention the four years of undergrad, the four years of medical school, and the years of surgical fellowship.
Now the tin man's a banker, torn apart. Cut, cut.
He's presumin' that he could be kind of human. Cut, cut.
If he only had a new heart. Cut, cut.
He'd be tender, He'd be gentle, and awful sentimental regarding love and art. He'd give grandkids gifts and take less shifts, and take the moments he never got, buried under the liberties he took with his tax forms.
If only he had a heart.
Now, the scarecrow's a politician, whiling away his hours. Sew, sew.
Not conferrin' with the flowers or consulting with the rain. Sew, sew.
Oil doesn't sell itself and protesters wouldn't shot themselves. Sew, sew.
If only he had a little more brain.
Come one, come all! Be it glioblastoma, melanoma, cardiomyopathy, go cross-country and come to see the wizard, the wonderful wizard of Oz. Down the dusty yellow brick road, lined with young poppies playing with dogs. All it takes is a invitation to the lollypop guild and a drop of opium to get them to come to the land of Oz.
Ha-ha-ha.
Succinylcholine and Propofol.
Ho-ho-ho.
Deep into sleep Dorothy falls.
And a couple of tra-la-la's.
That's how we do it in the Merry Old Land of Oz.
A heart for the banker. Snip, snip.
A bit of brain for the politician. Cut, cut.
You're off to see the Wizard.
The wonderful wizard of Oz.
Will tinyman be good fir yieldly, and if so in what way.
Ps just noticed it's just been released
Here is where I'm getting it from. Schwartz also asks that they change their name. Couldn't find it anywhere on here, wondered what people thought about it
Edit- here is Tammy Schwartz's (Tinman's wife) response, on a LetsRun thread-
>Wow, there are a lot of folks on here speculating this or that about this entire situation with Coach Tinman, Tinman Elite and Drew. Here are the facts because I feel this needs to be shared to stop all the BS comments on this thread. Time to rock-n-roll!
>Fact: Coach Tinman did not leave Tinman Elite. He was told over the phone that his services were no longer needed. The team voted by the raise of a hand "yes" or "no". He was told that the team voted unanimously "no we don't want his coaching services". Not every athlete on the team really agreed to this, but they had no choice because it was not an anonymous voting system. The guys that wanted to stay with Coach Tinman had no choice, but to agree, because they would not have the financial backing to continue their running career. Ya, what a shame! Here is the dinger, they never gave Coach Tinman a reason for letting him go. Even Drew never told his Coach. How unprofessional on their part...pretty sad.
>Fact: I have a hunch that the Tinman guys didn't like their Head Coach giving them friendly reminders in their team meetings to quit the F- bombing posts and inappropriate gestures on their social media. Any Head Coach for any team wants their team to display a good image to the public...especially a semi-pro team that is popular with today's youth. You certainly don't see other professional running teams doing this. But no Tinman Elite runners think its cool, hip, to flip the bird and use profanity on your social medial posts. As a parent I wouldn't want my kid to follow Tinman Elite just for that one reason.
>Fact: Coach Tinman never had a contract with Adidas!
>Fact: Coach Tinman has nothing to do with the Hammer & Axe training plans or $$ gained from them. They are cookie cutter plans derived from what they have learned from Tinman. Do you really think these guys have the credentials to Coach your middle school kids or high school kids. Heck no! Tinman has credentials and proven experience with results. ... keep reading on reddit β‘Hey, I am currently planning my own training based on Daniels, with a T workout on tuesday, I or R workout on friday, and a mostly easy long run on sunday. Im running 45mpw, building up to 55 for marathon in late november, but mainly looking to just get faster and stronger overall rather than focus in on the marathon (it's my first, no time goal). So far it's been good but I am curious about having weeks where I do Tinman type workouts (CV instead of I, tempo instead of T), which seem to be a notch slower than Daniels' paces.
Let me start off with this- this is my grandmothers (70F) story that Iβve heard time and time again since I was little. Iβve heard it from her, my aunt (her sister), my uncle (her brother), and there are friends of theirs that were there and experienced this that are still alive as well.
I hope I tagged the correct flair because Iβve never heard of anybody else experiencing this, though maybe someone could have an explanation and I truly hope itβs appropriate for this sub. If not, I apologize but here we go!
My grandmother grew up in San Mateo, New Mexico. At the time of this encounter, she said she believes she was in 2nd grade and that this happened in late 1957 or early 1958. The oldest in the group that was there that day was 14 and she said the youngest in the group was her youngest sister, who was just a toddler.
They went up to the caves in the hills to have a picnic. They were all laughing, playing, and having a good time and she said all of a sudden everything got eerily quiet. Somebody said βlookβ and they all looked up and what they saw was absolutely huge and terrifying. She said that it was a huge robotic looking thing made out of some sort of silver material and was taller than the trees in the area (pine trees) and she said it was walking away from where they were at.
My grandma said that they all got scared and started to scream and it started walking towards them. I guess once they saw it coming towards them, they all scattered down the hills and back to their homes screaming and crying because they had no clue what it was that they saw.
Theyβve always just referred to this βthingβ as the tin man and my grandma said itβs comparable to the robot Gort from the 1951 movie The Day the Earth Stood Still. Sheβs always said that βit wasnβt human. It was foreign.β
Again, if this is inappropriate for this sub, I apologize!
